If you love true New York pizza look no further. Best pizza in the area by far! The owner is always so friendly.

This place is good not great. I like enough to go when I am at my mom’s house around the corner but I wouldn’t drive very far to make it a night out.

Me and my wife escaped for a quick date night & I thought this would be a great place to go. I got the Mastaccioli All’Arrabiata with grilled chicken & penna pasta. This was a great meal loved the sauce. My wife got the amazing Cream of Crab Soup. All in all this was a great place & I would recommend this to any of our friends!

Love love love it here! It was one of my favorite places to go prior to finding out I had a gluten allergy, but now they have gluten free pastas and pizza and it’s amazing!!! I can no longer eat it but the cream of crab soup is the best I’ve ever had! Don’t forget the garlic knots because you will not be disappointed! The portions are large and the prices are great!

By far best pizza in local area — a top 3 in the md area for us — crust and sauce fantastic. Father of the owner — chef — was extremely concerned about sons allergies — made him a special pizza — no cheese and wouldn’t charge us — although we offered — anti-pasta dish really great! Can’t go wrong here — great food — nice owners

I wish the star count went to 11… But seriously. My husband and I just had our wedding catered by Pasquale and Bella Napoli. The food was OUTSTANDING. We still have wedding guests contacting us and asking for the name of the restaurant so they could swing by and get more of the amazing Pasta Adriatica. The portions were generous, the food cooked to perfection, and the staff who served the wedding(including Pasquale himself, who took off on a busy Saturday night from his restaurant to make sure everything went smoothly) was professional and courteous. Per Pasquale’s suggestion, we used one of his bartenders — Brian — who went out of his way to accommodate our special requests and drink menus. Brian was so professional and did a FANTASTIC job manning the bar that night. Excellent! Most importantly, Pasquale was a TOTAL straight-shooter. He was honest and fair with pricing, and even made accommodations with babies and toddlers included in the head-count for our catering bill. He WILLNOT jerk you around, and he calls it like it is — a rarity for anyone in the restaurant business! He was a delight to work with, and we were SO fortunate to have him cater our special day. Seriously — to the engaged couples out there looking for a caterer for your wedding — call Bella Napoli. Right now. Don’t waste your time calling other restaurants and catering companies who will jerk you around, mess with the pricing, and screw up your food. Pasquale is the best you will find ANYWHERE for the price. Do yourself(and your guests) a favor, and give him a call. :)

Yes, best Italian food in the area. I’ve never been disappointed with the food. The owner is always there, making sure the staff is living up to his expectations. Any issues are fixed immediately, very impressed(you don’t know how rare good customer service is in this city). I will keep coming back.

First time at Bella Napoli and I was pleased. The menu went from subs and pizza to pasta dishes and seafood. I shared the Caprese Salad and the mozzarella was freshly made and amazing! The bread was warm and my entrée, Broiled Tilapia included the fish(cooked perfectly– to melt in your mouth), green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. A very good dish, with slightly too much olive oil. Another part of our party ordered/shared the Margherita Pizza and it was nicely presented. The server(Sarah?) was attentive to our party of about 18 people in the private room for a wedding rehearsal dinner).

INCREDIBLEEXPERIENCE! Not only did they win consistent awards for best cream of crab soup, but also best Italian restaurant! And it shows! I go here regularly and enjoy not only the food but the wonderful environment they have set up here along with such a well managed staff that it’s a wonder how this place isn’t packed 24⁄7! I even came on Valentine’s Day and the owner himself handed out roses to every female that came in and personally checks in on tables on a daily basis not just special occasions. If you’re on the fence about trying this place out jump already and go!

Mangia! Mangia! We left stuffed after our first visit to Bella Napoli, an Italian family restaurant and pizzeria tucked into a quaint shopping center in Pasadena. The reviews from family and friends were spot-on and this will become a regular restaurant in our rotation for sure. We started with the cream of crab soup; this award-winning recipe did not disappoint and was full of sweet succulent LUMP crab. The base had the perfect balance of Old Bay seasoning, cream, and sherry. It is a good thing you get a basket of fresh-baked bread to sop up every last drop of soup! We then split a caprese salad and pizza. Both choices were delicious and portions were too much for us to even dream of finishing. The mozzarella is made in-house according to one of the owners who stopped by our table to check on our dining experience. The taste is unlike any store bought mozzarella you’ve ever tried(any I have tried many). The pizza had a great thin New York style crust that was nice and crunchy piled high with great toppings and whole milk mozzarella. We were tempted to try dessert but on account that we could hardly move enough to put on our coats we decided to pass this time and endeavor to try some scratch-made desserts on our next visit. Neighborhood restaurants like Bella Napoli with a great family atmosphere, fabulous food, and excellent value are hard to find nowadays. If you are ever in the area stop by and enjoy some authentic southern Italian cooking.

I stopped by for dinner with friends for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The Mozarella Caprese appetizer was delicious and fresh. I tried the highly recommended Cream of Crab soup. I am usually more of a MD Crab soup because I’m not a big fan of cream, but this soup is THEBEST. I see now why it wins awards. The size of the soup is pretty large, but it is well worth it. I could see myself ordering this soup even if I wasn’t in the mood for soup. I’m sad that I live so far away that I can’t have it whenever I want. After the soup, I was pretty stuffed so I ordered an order of lasagna to go because I couldn’t resist. Later on, I tried the lasagna and was just as pleased. So so good and authentic tasting. On a separate occassion, I tried the pizza. The pepperoni and cheese pizza were both quite tasty. I would definitely order again if I’m ever in the area. An added plus is the owner of Bella Napoli is very welcoming and friendly. He made a point to come to our table and talk to us which is always much appreciated. I could see why people could choose to dine-in instead of ordering carryout.

Great pizza!!! That is all I’ve had here — for carry out no less. But it is so good I would recommend this place to any one. The staff over the phone and at the counter is very courteous, quick and professional.

Came in tonight for a family wedding dinner. The service was outstanding and they took care of everything we could think of. Hats off to the kitchen who catered to our group, the chicken parm was great! The cream of crab definitely lives up to the hype! If you’re looking for a good Italian meal and want to be treated like you’re family, definitely check this place out.

A strip mall in Pasadena isn’t the most likely spot for good Italian food, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service we encountered here. They don’t take reservations, but we called ahead to put our names in, since we were there over Mother’s Day weekend and thought they might be busy. They were, but they seated us right away when we arrived, with a rose for my mother-in-law — a sweet touch! We shared a cream of crab soup for an appetizer, which needed salt and was thinner than what I’m used to, but had plenty of Baltimore flavor. Our side salads, which are included with each entrée, were fresh and crunchy — I was happy to see so much green on the plate. Although the atmosphere was fairly nice, I was in a pizza mood, so I ordered a 12-inch white pizza. The thing was huge, at least 16 inches in diameter, with tons of garlic and fresh ricotta. I ate about 2 ½ pieces and brought the rest home! My husband had fettucine bolognese, which was creamier than bolognese usually is, but quite delicious. My in-laws enjoyed their chicken parmesan and smoked salmon pasta. All of us brought home more than half of what we had ordered. I would split an entrée next time! In honor of my mother-in-law, we ordered two chocolate desserts — a cannoli and a chocolate mousse. Both were good, though not spectacular; I had hoped to try their spumoni, but they were all out that evening. Service was fairly quick and attentive. Our waiter was a little too talkative for my taste, but I’ll chalk that up to Pasadena hospitality. I did think it was a little weird that our entrees came out 5 – 10 minutes apart, so at one point I was the only one with food and at another my husband was the only one without it. They kept asking if they could bring him something while he was waiting.(No, just what I ordered, thanks!) As we were paying the bill, I mentioned I had a Unilocal checkin offer(10% off the check) and the manager came to see it and said he had never authorized that promotion. He honored the discount anyway since they had a 10% off coupon on their website, but I thought that was a little strange. We will definitely return next time we are in the area. Nice to know it’s there!

I do not live in Pasadena, but my boyfriend and I were here dog-sitting and found this place during a Google search for Italian take-out. We weren’t sure what we wanted to order over the phone so we went inside. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Pasquale. I asked him if they had a carry-out menu and he joked with me about why I would possibly need a menu, we were absolutely charmed by him. Once we told him that it was our first visit to the restaurant, Pasquale made it his mission to give us a sampling of what he considered to be the best items on the menu: the award-winning crab soup(rich and delicious), the bread(hot and simple), and even a meatball in marinara sauce(savory and perfect.) We were already full and we hadn’t even ordered any food yet! We came home with a cup of their crab soup, a pepperoni, sausage, and meatball calzone, mastaccioli arrabiata, salad, hot bread, and a slice of key lime pie. Everything was delicious(even after it was reheated for subsequent meals — the portions are more than generous.) Pasquale went out of his way to give us a fantastic customer experience and the food lived up to his word. We will definitely return the next time we are dog-sitting for our friends!

Bella Napoli has been in the Pasadena area for many years offering American-Italian sub shop quality foods from its family business. Ordered a basic dish of chicken marsala, which was able to be purchased as a lunch sized portion during their dinner service, and found the food to be somewhat plain. The dish itself had a lot of chicken and mushrooms but tasted very bland. The brownish sauce, which was thoroughly mixed throughout my pasta serving, seemed a little over poured and was likely responsible for the flavoring. Maybe it just needed more chicken stock … I am unsure?! The interior was plain inside of the long country style seating area, which resembled a clean pizzeria meet dixie type of vibe. Customer service was very friendly, but it seemed as if it may have been over staffed for that Monday evening. Regardless my visit was fair and rewarded me with a new place to retry in the future, for now 3 stars.
