I went here in 2015. You are paying to enter a very overpriced Lego store. Everything there is available on Ebay ffor half the price. I went for the awesome Lego displays. There were only three displays that were worth any attention. This event is a big money grab. Lego should intervene in such a sham.

Absolutely not worth it — we attended the one in Houston. You end up spending over 80 bucks for a family of four… most of the vendors at their just to sell their product. And the few stations have set up for children… are not that impressive. I wish we had rather use the money and just bought a Lego set!

Absolutely terrible!!! Unorganized, no coordination & insanely overpriced $ 22 per child is absurd for this event. There were no planned activities, just some greedy cow who just threw together anything, charged a small fortune for entry fee and in exchange… absolutely nothing!!! Vendors with overprice cheap quality items!!! Bye Felecia

We went to the Brickfest in Timonium, MD, north of Baltimore, which was a bit of a drive for us heading from Northern Virginia. The information I reviewed gave me a far different impression of what it would be, which was much less than expected. This event took up a large room on one side of a large pavilion. There were around 10 vendors selling high-priced customized and«hard to get» lego sets, and some various activities for the kids. MUCH less than what I expected, and my kids were sorta bummed that there wasn’t more, for the nearly two-hour drive it took us to get there each way. I at least expected to see some discounted Lego sets at «show» prices, but there were none to be had. Even the small sets were very expensive. So for what we paid on tickets, we could have gotten a really nice, large Lego set that would have kept the kids occupied just as long, and would have been more enjoyable — and we’d have more Legos to build with. I would not classify this as a «Lego convention», as one other person did. It wasn’t big enough or varied enough to be put into that category. So while it wasn’t a complete waste — I’ll give it 1.5 stars, but I will not go back again. A disappointment.

Like other’s have said, not worth the money. We paid $ 20×4, parents plus two kids, $ 80. Mostly vendors selling, long lines for a few activities that weren’t that exciting.

Absolutely disappointed. We arrived 15 mins before doors opened and we had to get in a long line around the building in the heat but thankfully they just took people’s tickets without scanning or that will take even longer to get in. I was not impressed when we walked in. It was small and there was mostly vendors selling collectibles or items that we can still buy at Target. Saw a box of Star Wars Legos for $ 20 and for the same thing at Target, it would have been no more than $ 12.99. They had a section of video games, reading area, free lego building, some display, small miniature golf area, and the rest were vendors. There was also a photo opportunity with the Star Wars characters but they are pretty aggressive to ask for a donation to take a picture with them. Oh! And there was an area where they give you 5 min to build a lego race car and put them on the race track, which was something the Lego store in Downtown Disney has.

Drove from SouthOC to take my kid to this. He’s 4 and LOVES Legos. He was ready to leave after ½ hour. It was a complete waste of money and time. Expected to see more cool Lego creations, but essentially we paid to wait in line in the hot sun to get in to a small exhibit hall with mostly a bunch of toy seller booths(some of whom were selling sets you can buy at Target), others were selling expensive retired sets, while others were selling custom sets. We let our son pick out one Lego set to buy, which actually cost MORE than it does on Amazon. There were a few lame build areas, a reading area(???), and a few large Lego figures on display. The race car build area, where you could stand in line for 45 minutes for the privilege of building a race car and having a 5 second race against a few other kids’ cars, was particularly lame. Such a disappointment. If I’d known how lame this was going to be, I would have just taken my kid to Legoland, where we can all actually enjoy ourselves. There’s one wasted Sunday afternoon I’ll never get back.

This event sucks! Paid $ 20 a ticket to come to Brick Fest. Millions of people and basically buckets of Legos, not many displays and 100’s of vendor selling overpriced mini figures — Come on Legos– You can do better!!!

Brick Fest Live is a pretty much a LEGO convention. They sell all sorts of LEGO collectibles. *Merchants include Brick Crafts, Brick Show, Cal Brick Lab, West End Toys, Clone Army Customs, Mini Fig FX, Brick Builders Club, Brick Journal, and some others *There were lots of booths selling mini figs *Lots of custom made LEGO *Brick Walls where people can put LEGO on the walls *A LEGO mini golf course where people can play mini golf *Four LEGO race car tracks. I saw a kid cry because he didn’t win the race. Um yikes. *Big Toy Story Woody figurine *A Glow LEGO room where they have glowing LEGO *Small gaming area to play LEGO video games *Mosaics made out of LEGO *A big area for building Red Bricks *A Reading Rest area for those to lie down and read. Mostly people just laid down and didn’t really read. *Also a concession stand for snacks. Tables and seating were available near the concession stand. Some of the LEGO sets are ridiculously expensive because they’re now considered rare. I saw a Pirates of the Carribbean set for $ 500(years ago it was only around $ 100 when it was super common). Of course there’s also the Star Wars Death Star which has always been expensive. There were some cheaper sets like around $ 15 but then again most of those are also sold in places like Target and Toys R US. The mini figs costed around $ 15. The LEGO sets I saw that they sold included Star Wars, Chima, Ninjago, The LEGO Movie, Mixels, Pirates of the Carribbean, Disney, LEGO Friends, Prince of Persia, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, The Lone Ranger, and many others. The custom made LEGO was very cool. Some of the creations were really massive. I thought the castle was nicely constructed. I also liked the mosaics made out of LEGO especially the Pac Man one. Really creative. I also liked what they had in the Brick Crafts booth. They had hearts, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and roses made out of LEGO. There was a HUGE line to get in at the convention before it started. Once it hit 3pm, they let people in. At the beginning, there weren’t too many people inside the convention. I mean there were a lot but it was still easy to navigate and it wasn’t overly loud. Come 4pm, the place was super packed. It was difficult to get to the booths to look or purchase things without cramming into people. The crowd mostly consisted of families with young kids. There were a few couples. The convention in itself is pretty spacious. The air conditioning was circulated evenly throughout the place. Considering it was super hot outside, it was quite nice that it was cool in there. We used Groupon so we were able to get it at $ 22 a person which wasn’t bad. Our designated time on the tickets were 3−7pm. We only spent around a little over two hours. Overall, I thought it was a great convention. I enjoyed it as I do like LEGO, not sure if I’ll come back again but it was cool to check it out at least once.

It’s very small prolly like 1⁄3 size of the wonder Con or 1⁄8 of the comic con. You can see from this side of exhibition hall to the other side. That is about it! The excitement for me here does not exceed the excitement I have at Lego store. There’s no mastermind here that you feel impressed. Their website was poorly designed. I was already having a bad feeling. They have 4 – 5 different areas for kids to participate. The most fun one seem to be building the race car. As my observation the winning car should be low center w medium length and some heavier block in the back to push it downhill fast. Now you know the secret. They also have kids mini golf area built with Lego. 10 – 15 vendors one selling clone army customized solider were pretty cool so does the one w lamp, watch kind accessories. The rest I did not find much different from others. Price seem fair, average. If you bring kids it’s def a place to spend hours here but for adult it’s really not that much to see. It only took me like a hour and I feel I am done. I don’t think it justify the $ 26 price admission. I went on Saturday a little before 6pm so it wasn’t packed and there’s no line. I would give it lower rating if I had to wait in line to get in.
