Top of my list for food that I grew up eating. Everything I’ve had there has been on point!

I came to Houston to do some work and had Credeurs. Some of the best food ever. I am back in Houston and will hopefully get a chance to go there again. I will not leave until I get to eat there again… it’s that good. Makes me feel like my mom cooked it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

LOVELOVELOVE Credeur’s! It’s a favorite lunch spot year round for some delicious Cajun cuisine! The crawfish etoufee is my personal favorite with a double side order of mac & cheese on Mondays! The boudin balls, pistolettes & meat pies are also a delicious little side treat!!!

Finally made it here during their open hours. Had the boudin balls and the étouffée. Well they far exceeded my expectations. Place runs out of food early and I know why. Delish yeast rolls. Corn Macque Choux and zydeco green beans are the BOMB! Come early or go home hungry. Will definitely come back! Service is very friendly and dining area clean. Great lunch place.

I love this place come early and come hungry! Boudin is amazing and I’ve never had something I didn’t love! Peach cobbler better than my gram used to make and that’s no lie!

I have tried the crawfish etoufee and catfish court bullion and both were excellent. Any of their sides are great too. Perfect amount of spice you would expect in authentic Cajun food. The best Cajun food I’ve had in the Houston area. I will be coming back for more!

I don’t know how to really start this review because this was my first visit and I truly feel like I have to try everything else on their menu so I can have the right to blabber about how good the food was. The étouffée was creamy, saucy, rich, seasoned perfectly delicious. The corn was delicious and the creamed squash was delicious and the corn bread muffin was… DELICIOUS. I didn’t even need dessert. I want to go back and try the pistolettes and I just can’t calm myself down cause I’m full but I know I want to go back. I was so tempted to order something to go but the line was long so eh! I guess it’s an excuse to return!(am I right?) Credeur’s is located on Spencer so it is easy to find if you exit off the Beltway and head left on Spencer or if your coming in from 225 like I was… just head down Center Street, make a Right on Spencer and its right after Mamaritas on your right in a small strip mall. This place was packed at 11:20 with plant workers so you know it is best to get there early or after the lunch rush especially for parking. But don’t wait too long because they close at 3:00 pm and they do not open on weekends so reserve some extra time if you are heading this way on your lunch break. Once you are inside its set up buffet style so you stand in line, get a tray and you get to choose what they have available or you can order fried items such as shrimp and catfish and they bring it to your table. Today they had Crawfish enchiladas as their special. They offer catering which is a plus for me because we are always ordering food for office events. Gotta go back ! Will keep you posted for sure and until next time you should surely head on over and give it a try yourself.

Everything I’ve tried has been WAAAAAYYY too salty for me! Like bring-on-the-heart-attack too salty. Could barely finish my sides, they were so oversalted. Best part of my meal was the iced tea. Cute lil place, but the hours sure are limiting

First time to stop in at Credeur’s. The restaurant is cafeteria style offering crawfish étouffée, sausage and beans, as well as made to order catfish and shrimp po’boys. I ordered the shrimp po’boy with homemade chips. My shrimp was on the raw side but no problem for the management to replace. The sandwich is on a grilled sourdough bun with étouffée and spicy coleslaw and homemade chips. Great sandwich. I’d come back again.

Love this place and I don’t even like Cajun food!(My Cajun grandmother would kill me for saying this!). I’ve been here three times now and I’ve gotta say, the food is outrageously good. I’ve always been welcomed with a smile and I love that it’s family owned and operated. I’ve had the catfish and fried shrimp so far and the catfish is the best I’ve ever had.(Sorry grandma!) It has not a hint of fishiness and is golden fried, crispy and very tasty. I always get the hushpuppies and creamy green beans and I’m in heaven. The fried shrimp, while very good and VERY large was not enough to fill me up and I left hungry. You get six for around 12 $ with two sides and it did not fill either me or my husband up. So if you’re a light eater, this would be a perfect meal for you. I, on the other hand, like to go hard when I’m in Cajun Heaven. The cornbread is amazing, full of buttery goodness and grab a slice of cake on your way out. I even like that you order cafeteria style by getting in line, choosing what you want, paying and then having it very quickly brought out to you. TIP: Get here EARLY! After about 1, they’re out of the good stuff like the étouffée, shrimp Creole and the boudin. Definitely not a place to take a huge crowd as it’s crowded so get your food to go and demolish it in your car with not a hint of shame.

Pistolettes and the boudin balls are all you need. Boudin balls have been the best that I’ve ever tasted, as it beat most places I’ve had it in Louisiana itself. Seasoning and texture of the meat and breading were perfect. Crawfish etoufee inside a buttery bread-roll-thing is just oozing with the sound and taste of deliciousness… the pistolette, what a lovely creation. However, It IS rather pricey. A pistolette is about 2.25 and boudin balls… I forgot the price actually, but I got 2 pistolletes and 1 boudin ball and it came out to be around $ 8. This is one of the few places that, though it looks like a small-size hole in the wall place, you’re paying quality over quantity, so be prepared. One thing I absolutely have to point out as well is that when you eat the pistolletes, you might have a sort of woozy feeling(imagine going on a circular roller coaster…50 times.) in your stomach from the excessive amount of butter and fat in the pistolletes you consume. Maybe it was just me, but I’d like to think that I have a strong stomach. If you’re counting calories, I know you don’t need me to say it, but stay away from the pistolletes, because the rolls pack a lot of them. It gets busy around lunch time because it’s so popular so be wary of that too. 8/10, would definitely come again.

WOW!!! No other words to describe Credeur’s Cajun Cooking. I have used them to cater my events along with eating at the dine in restaurant and simple amazing food. This place also has a touch of love from the family that owns this place. Truly amazing people and always happy to see you when you walk through the door. My favorite is the shrimp boy boy and boudin balls. If you want a quick meal the steam table always has lots of choices and great food as well. Awesome restaurant and amazing people. Thank you guys for being awesome. KC Lare

Working around San Jacinto College, this was the first place that popped up on Unilocal.I read the reviews and saw the pictures and decided to give it a try. I got the split special with crawfish étouffée and chicken sausage jambalaya with a side or corn and green beans. It was . I would defiantly come back here again making the drive from Sugar Land

This place is a must try. If you live/work in the area or just passing by you need to stop and eat here. Everything is great, I live their PoBoys are so good and the pistolettes are awesome. Louisiana food in Texas. I have to say it’s one of my favorite places to eat.

Well I guess there was a line for a reason. Closer to 11 or closer to 1pm seems like the time to go. Waited in line about 10 min but was able to find a table. I had the daily special, Crawfish Etufe, side of navy beans and the potatoes salad. Portions served in a Styrofoam container looked small but I left full! Seasoning was very good but I would say maybe a little salty. It came with a small corn bread which was tasty and slightly sweet, the way I like it.(If it had only been larger and with jalapeños. A little pricey at $ 14 including drink and tax.

After the short line, I was able to order the boudain burger, a pistolette and the homemade peanut butter pie for dessert. These items allowed me to not break the bank on my first visit. The dessert was only $ 3.50 and I’m guessing they make different desserts everyday. The burger was small like the owner indicated at the serving line, but it was really good. It consists of a smashed boudain ball grilled on the flat top, with some shredded lettuce and a remoulade type sauce. The pistolette was very flavorful and not too, too greasy like some others I’ve had in Louisiana. There were probably about 3 – 4 small crawfish inside it. The pie was delicious and you could tell it was homemade with the small dollop of fresh cream on top, down to the chocolate cookie crust. Yum. Just the perfect portion. I will be back.

Family owner & operated. This place is one of the best keep secrets in Pasadena. They are only open for lunch. The food is ALWAYS fresh and hot. Their homemade«NeNe’s Sweet Tea» is about as good as it gets. They open at 11 am and the line is out he door by 11:30. They change specials and sides daily but you can order fried fish& shrimp poboys and many other items. This food is about as Cajun as you can get outside of Louisiana. I can’t wait until I’m in Pasadena again for lunch.

I read about this place on Unilocal, thought I would give it a try. They are only open for lunch(11am — 3pm) and only during the week, no weekends. I learned this the hard way. Just inside the front door to your immediate right is a large menu chalk board. I guess the specials change daily. While waiting in line I heard the group behind me say that they came for lunch every day last week and the staff seemed to know the couple if front of me from being regulars. I took this as a good sign. The specials looked amazing, I would have gone with the meatloaf or the chicken & sausage jambalaya but the sides weren’t appealing to me. It looked like the specials were served in a clamshell styrofoam container and sandwiches a basket. I got the fried shrimp po boy and wasn’t so impressed. The home made chips were really good thou. I look forward to giving this place another try. It had a really cool swampy Louisiana feel from the décor to the music.
