I’m not a fan of cakes or cupcakes, so for my birthday, I requested a blackberry pie. My boyfriend unfortunately forgot this request until it was 3 hours before the party. So driving around Pasadena, we Unilocal search and call numerous pie shops. All tell us it can’t be done in 3 hours, or they are sold out for the day. Until we call Cutie Pie That. Tonya picked up, and I explained the situation, ready to accept yet another ‘no way’. To my surprise, she says she is serving at an event, but her staff is baking pies as we speak, and she offers to call me back after she checks with them. A series of quick phone calls later, and she arranges for us to pick up either a cherry or blueberry pie. I agree to the blueberry(even though it isn’t in my top 3, but beggars can’t be choosers), and 12 minutes later, we pick it up from her friendly staff at the bakery. I was very pleased with the entire exchange. Now for the actual eating of the pie. Like I mentioned, blueberry pie isn’t my fave. This blueberry pie was the best pie I have ever had. Perfect crust that wasn’t too messy or falling apart. The filling was fresh and flavorful without being saccharine. Everyone at the party loved it and wanted to know where I got it(and I unreservedly referred them!). Not a piece was left. Overall, wonderful service, extremely obliging, and delicious pies. I can’t wait to have another excuse to order from them. I’ll definitely be going to the South Lake Farmer’s Market to try some more.

She was doing a 2-for-14″ pie special at the Thursday Farmers Market at 7th and Fig – she mentioned that she will not be there anymore. But I am so glad I caught her when I did, because these pies are sublime! The crust is soft and not too sweet, fillings are a perfect blend of sweet and tart. I got the Peerless Pear Pomegranate and another flavor I can’t remember(it was delicious). Kiddies loved them, too(the 4-inch pie was big enough for them to share). This is a great dessert option for those who are cupcaked out.

I’m a vendor at Crafted and the Cutie Pie That booth is just one row over from me. Someone gave me a delicious sparkle pie pop on opening day, but I hadn’t had another thing from this booth for a few weeks. Well last week I ordered an apricot pie from her as a custom thing, and today she delivered it straight to my booth. Delicious! Oat crumble top crust with a perfectly flaky bottom crust and sweet delicious apricot filling. Apricot is my favorite pie and this didn’t disappoint! Five stars for delivery and five stars for taste. I’ll be ordering more pies! The price was super reasonable, too!

Found them at the new Crafted warehouse in San Pedro today. I love pie. They had 2 mini pies available(berry with regular crust and apricot peach with crumble topping) and a chocolate peanut butter tart. They also had cherry pie pops, but I’m not a cherry pie person. They were so cute though. Bought a blueberry pie and it was awesome. The crust was sweet and crumbly(without falling apart annoyingly) and it was thick without being hard. Wasn’t greasy either. It had cornmeal on the base and sugar on the top crust. The berry filling was the perfect consistency and sweetness. Really good. $ 6. Would definitely buy from her again. Delicious!

LA Art Walk — there was a row of booths/tables with various food/gift items and I came across Cutie Pie That. Lolliepies($ 3) — Apple and Strawberry pie on a stick. The strawberry pie-pop was in the shape of a heart. The apple was shaped like a flower. It was a cute concept and very tasty! I think this is a very cute gift idea or maybe a take-home gift for a Baby shower. Very unique!

I tried my first pie from«Cutie Pie That» this past Friday and I have to say it was completely AWESOME! I tried their blueberry pie and wow, I am just amazed… I have to describe the experience, so here goes: So the pies are about 5 in length if I remember right, basically an individual sized pie, but they aren’t dinky! The crust was very buttery and flakey and firm, not like the kind that fall apart as soon as you cut into it, the crust almost tasted like dutch style shortbread cookie, that’s how good it was, but I think the real WOW factor this insanely delicious pie was the blueberry FILLING :) No joke-the bulk of the weight from this little pie was allllll the filling that was in it, completely loaded with fresh blueberries and sauce, and it wasn’t too sweet, so the best way to describe the sensation is fresh, natural, and refreshing. I guess the only improvement I would add is to make these pies BIGGER, or at least a few of them, because it’s so good I wanted to eat 3 of them at once! I know they are individual size but still… I want to get my grub on with these pies :) If you haven’t tried one of these blueberry pies, do so! I haven’t tried the other ones they have, but I plan to very soon. Definitely give these pies a try!
