I’m typing this after watching all twelve DVDs given back to me after waiting 3+ weeks. Quality overall wasn’t bad, tapes were back from the 90s so I wasn’t expecting 1080p. Reasons why my rating on them is missing two stars;
1. As I said above, twelve in total I dropped off and I was charged for fourteen. Receipt I kept when I dropped off the tapes also says twelve so I’m hoping that’ll get sorted out tomorrow morning when I call.
2. I didn’t receive the 10% off that’s mentioned on their website if consumer spent over $ 99, it’s not really the money I could of saved that’s the reason they lost a star but because it’s false advertisement (it’s also because that was the factoring point I picked them over others, cheaper)

My parents asked me to have their old marriage video converted to a digital format so I called a few places and checked around. I talked to the owner because I had a few questions and concerns because the film I had was very old. He assured me everything would turn out fine and gave me a great price that was better than the prices I already got from some other places locally. They did a fantastic job and my parents are very happy with the result.

This company is absolutely phenomenal! They converted my old vhs tape into digital where I uploaded a segment onto Instagram! The owner, Ray, could not have been more professional and supportive. His response time via emails and phone calls was 100% and his customer service is wonderful. This company is total professionalism all the way with exceptional results delivered. Highly recommended!

i sometimes follow Unilocal’s lead so i felt compelled to write about this experience. overall, it was a frustrating and bad one. i took some video camera discs in to get them transferred to regular sized dvd’s. i got the product back 3 to 4 weeks after the time i was told it would be returned; and after i made several calls to inquire about the hold up. when i finally got the discs, the visual quality was poor. and worst of all, they failed at making the copies correctly. for example, with the new discs given, it would be the same material copied on 2 or 3 different new discs when each new disc should have different material on them. it’s kind of hard to describe. it just failed to satisfy; and this experience was disappointing and frustrating. i do hope they get better at what they do; and if you do decide to give them your business, i hope you have a better experience. i will never use them again and i plan to have this job done somewhere else now. peace and blessings.
p. s. i gave them a 2 instead of a 1 because there was some attempt towards the end of this experience made by RAY to make up for the delays. i appreciated that. the overall product was still inferior.

What can I say about Ray? This guy will go the extra mile for you! After briefly dropping the ball on an order of mine – an order that ultimately proved impossible, Ray came through with flying colors! He and his team successfully transferred a couple U-​matic prints (of an original, 20+ year old super 8 mm film) into DVD/​digital format. I was concerned that the U-​matic tapes had degraded to the point of no return. But no. The transfer was perfect! Ray and his team are an outfit I would definitely do business with in the future. Thank you, Ray! Thank you, Digital Video & Film Lab!

DO NOT USE! Ray is utterly shit. Messed up my order repeatedly. Did not listen to my requests. He is not even based in Pasadena — lives miles away. Good luck if you can’t pick up immediately, he’ll charge you storage like a dick. Never apologized once.

This place was so great. Much faster and better work than I expected, to be quite honest. My VHS player burned out a few years back, so I needed all my VHS home videos backed up on DVDs. I had about 40 tapes, and the job was done in about a week or so. That’s really pretty amazing. I expected something closer to a month. On top of that, they also gave me digital versions of my tapes to play back on my computers at home. To top it all off, the customer service was great. Fast, responsive, and kind. Will be coming back in the future.
