Dream Cuts

After comparing different places on Unilocal,I chose Dream Salon because they seemed to have a lot of good reviews. But after driving out to the salon, I was turned away because they said they couldn’t cut «(your) hair type». I’ve never been turned away from a salon in my life. All I wanted was a cut and fade. So if you have «black» or ethnic hair stay away because they won’t serve you! Never coming back to this place again!

This place is the best in Pasadena!!! They do highlights and haircuts like true professionals. I think their prices are reasonable and results are high end. I will be coming back to this place from now on. The ladies are all super nice and Aryga is as sweet as can be. Best place for hair, hands down!!! Will recommend to all my friends! Thank you ladies!!!

This place was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to give it a try. For a men’s haircut it is $ 10.99 I went in on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, so they weren’t busy at all. I walked in and received no greeting there was a group of stylist or friends I’m not quite sure they were huddled in a circle having coffee and gossiping (which is fine since they had no clients) except I stood there for five minutes before being acknowledged. When I was it was by an older stylist she was pleasant and made small talk. I asked for a 2 and a half on the sides and back and half an inch off the top with scissors. Other than the punted sign on the window they have no prices displayed anywhere and when I asked for a shampoo I was told it would be an additional $ 4 so now I’m at $ 15Now the cut was completely butchered she cut a full inch off the top and left clumps of hair on the back, so bad I went to SportClips so they could fix it and they did. Maybe it was just an off day or maybe they are just bad, I know I will not be returning as I had to essentially get to haircuts to fix their error.
**Update*** In regards to your response I will reiterate that I will not recommend nor will I ever return to this establishment. As stated in your response to my revue you have called me a liar and have insinuated that I’ve made false reviews, I stand by my statements as this is what occurred to me at your place of business, you clearly did not view the correct day in question. I would never make false statements on a business if it was not warranted, I went in for a haircut and the services that were rendered were subpar. I suggest you work on rectifying how you operate your business instead of calling clients liars.

Ok went to get my haircut and I should have knew it was gonna be bad from the start the worker that’s cuting the hair barely speaks English. Next I tell the lady I want to shampoo my hair because clearly it can’t be cut with all the hairspray I have in it. (She fails to mention they charge 5 dollars for a shampoo) –_​– next I ask for a trim bc I’m letting my hair grow out well 10 mins later she cut so much hair off and ruined the style I explained !!! I don’t know how this place stays in business worst experience ever I’ll go to another place I should have knew it wasnt a hold place when on a Friday afternoon it’s empty.

I give it a star because the cut was mediocre and I wasn’t satisfied. The ladies were friendly but wanted to give me a Bob when I asked for subtle A-​line apparently that’s just a clean straight Bob for her. I had also asked her to cut my bangs which she hadn’t. They cater more towards men than women, only one stylist that «knew» how to cut women’s hair was on duty that day. Next time instead of saving a buck go somewhere else where they actually can cut hair. Regret spending that 13 dollars.

Took and chance on getting my hair cut here for the first time. Fantastic! Polite people, and the price is right.

I always come here to straighten my hair, they do an amazing job, and the prices are SO reasonable. Love Dream Cuts, and would recommend to anyone.

I feel really sorry for writing this but I am completely disappointed in my last trip to dream cuts. I just received a haircut a couple minutes ago where I felt the need to point out that there was miscommunication between the stylist and myself. I’ve had several hair cuts here which is why I keep coming back. Not only do I expect to pay under $ 15, but I was charged a ridiculous amount for a blow dry which I was not informed a service charge of $ 20 of. It was unheard of on my end and I stood there in complete disbelief. I don’t believe I’ll be coming back.

Excellent place. Clean. Nice staff. Very knowledgeable. Helped me get a great haircut. My new favorite place to come to get my cut. Noone was here so i didnt wait. Asked me couple times what kind of cut i wanted. I was even more happy to know the barber and i were on the same page. I found my place to for haircuts now. Very happy with the result

Found a new place for the bf to get a haircut! This place had great reviews and it was close to home. I called before hand and the girl on the phone told me it wasn’t as busy so we swung by and it was about a 20 minute wait.
During the whole haircut Erika/​Erica was really nice and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and was great to conversate with. Anddddddd the haircut turned out really good and it was exactly what he asked for. The haircut was done in about 15 min too! I think this will be our go to spot for haircuts!

I have been coming here since they first opened. I love the service here. Can’t beat the prices and the customer service is amazing. I have thick hair and can take time to manage, the ladies never make a fuss and do exactly what I want. My hair is now healthy because of the amazing products they use.

The best inexpensive cut I’ve ever received! The owner and stylist were friendly and I am super happy with how my hair turned out. I just can’t bring myself to spend the $ 60+ a normal cut costs in most salons in Pasadena, so I’m really excited to have found this place.

After growing tired of paying $ 20+ and waiting for an hour for my name to be called in some of the bigger chain haircut places, I decided to look up a new place to start going here on Unilocal.Let me just say, this place lived up to all the positive reviews. I walked right in and was seated immediately. The haircut was quick and it was just what I wanted. The staff was friendly without talking my ear off or being overbearing. And in the end, it cost about half of what I’m used to paying for the same (or better) service. Go check them out!

Came across this salon by driving by one day! I totally love the way they blow dry my hair! The price is great and the service is wonderful! They offer waxing, make up and hair, the best part is how affordable it is!
I will definitely come here for hair and waxing!

I went to get a hair cut and blow dry my hair since I was in the area. I searched close by locations and came across this salon and decided to get my hair done since I had time. I called and they were very friendly and I didn’t have to wait. They did a very good job and I highly recommend this location.

Came here on a Saturday morning and walked in without an appointment. As soon as I walked in Aryga greeted me and asked me to have a seat and they’ll get to me shortly. First impression of the shop was that it was clean and only two people working on hair. I saw Aryga was cutting a boy’s hair and took her time and precision to make sure the haircut she was giving met the satisfaction of the boy and his father who was watching her like a hawk. When she was done cutting the boy’s hair she told me to wait a minute, ran to the back of the shop to grab a broom to sweep up all of the boy’s hair on the floor before asking me to sit at her chair, which I thought was nice and thoughtful of her.
After I sat down she asked me what I’d like for my haircut and i described it to her, but half way through the haircut I realized the length I requested on the side of my hair was a bit long and asked if it was too late to make it shorter, without hesitation she said «sure, no problem.» Like the haircut she gave to the boy ahead of me, she also took her time and precision to make sure I had a good haircut. Was in and out of the shop within 30 minutes. Definitely would come back again!

Needed a quick hair cut, and decided to try out a new place. Came in with no appointment, and was immediately seated. The manager helped me figure out a proper length and style, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. To top it off, the price was literally HALF of what the other barber shops around charge. I’ll definitely be coming back here!
