Omg, a mini version of Amy Winehouse, woohoo!!! That was my first initial thought when my stylist, Connie spun me around after finishing up my Cosmopolitan hairdo. I was speechless at first because I can’t ever get my crown to be teased that high, and yes, I loved it! Best of all, as my hair relaxed throughout the night, my teased crown and curls got a lil more relaxed and looser, yay! My hair looked awesome for dinner with friends that night at The Gadarene Swine. My appointment was at 3:30pm, and I was immediately greeted by their receptionist, who offered me a variety of drinks while I waited, and I chose a Mimosa ;) Afterwards, Connie came over, greeted me and took me over to my chair. She did a quick consult with me about what tools she can use, and if I wanted products on my hair. I then had a few moments to pick out my style, and ended up going with a Cosmo. I was thinking the Cosmo-Tai or a Dirty Martini, but that’ll be for another time. Connie then took me to the washroom — she was gentle with my wash and got me back into my chair and got down to work. She used mousse, and both Flexible and Firm Hairspray, and the products smelled divine! It even smelled awesome the next morning too! :) She blow dried my hair, curled it, and of course, teased the hell out of my crown since my left side was a bit thinner –_–(stress). Though, I was a bit miffed when she turned me to face the Serendipity movie they had playing because I wanted to see how she did the teasing part, but the final workings was a surprised, lol! Connie also mentioned that she curled my curls tight because my Asian hair was super straight and throughout the night, both my tease and curls will relax. I was fine with that since I always curly hair tight, and it gets better as the day progresses. I loved my hairdo. Even brushing my hair at night(otherwise, it’s gonna look like a rat’s nest in the AM), it still looked good, and the next morning, I had the Sexy bedhead look, awesome! Overall, I’m glad that I tried out Drybar, and will be looking forward to trying their other hairstyles in the future, yay! Next time, coming earlier, so that my hairstyle can last longer, lol! Came here during their«Pretty Little Liars» promotion when all the blow outs were free. I was taken exactly at my appointment time and assigned to an amazing stylist whose name escapes me. She was super nice and we had a good conversation during the duration of our appointment. I was also excited that they allowed me to add a deep conditioning treatment to my appointment despite being super busy which I love. I parked behind Veggie Grill which offers two hour free parking and walked. Their products smell amazing btw.

I finally had the chance to go back to Drybar before my cousin’s wedding yesterday. I worked with Paola who was really sweet. As with my last experience, I told her that my hair doesn’t hold a curl very well. I also explained to her that I just dyed my hair burgundy a few days prior and the color would most likely bleed! She listened to me, asked me about the event I was going to attend, and asked me what time I had to be there. Paola was amazing through the whole process! She made sure I was comfortable, gave me magazines to read, and got me coffee. Not only was she fast(it took less than an hour from the time she called me in, to washing my hair, blow drying, and curling it), but she took what I said into account. Also, she was so gentle with my hair. I feel like I always get the people who yank on my hair and catch on my ear when they do my hair. She didn’t overload my hair with products and my hair actually stayed! In my last review, I went to Drybar to get my hair done for my bridal shower and it was almost completely flat before my bridal shower even began! In this case, my hair stayed all night despite touching it a lot throughout the night and not recurling it. I did spray a little bit of my own hair spray(big sexy hair) but did not retouch it otherwise. Drybar, I am officially a fan. My hair made it through 12 hours(my appointment was at 10am, the wedding ended at 10pm) and even through the night. In the future, I would only see Paola though! She was amazing!

It was my first time going to Drybar, and I really wanted to like this place. It was easy for me to get an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. The customer service reps were really accommodating over the phone. The place is cute and inviting. I was greeted cheerfully with water, coffee, and little snacks. My stylist was nice. Sounds like a really great start. BUT the actual service itself was not worth the money. The wash was a really quick couple of minutes. Some of my hair in the back was not curled. The front was curled really sloppily. I told my stylist that my hair needs product or something to make it hold, but my hair was dull by the end of my night. The curls stayed for probably 3 hours. $ 40 + $ 10 tip is NOT worth it. I have had my hair styled before at other places, and it kept longer, so it’s possible! Sadly I’m not sure I will come back :(

I always come here to get a blow out before an event. Like most places during the busy time of the year, place does get packed so it’s always best to make an appointment. And if for some reason you’re unable, they take walk-ins, where you may end up waiting for 15 – 30 minutes, which isn’t so bad because they’ll offer you something to drink, like champagne, wine or just your every day tea, coffee and water, absolutely free. For $ 40, you get to choose 6 different types of blowouts — 4 curls and 2 straight– recently added pony tails and up dos, cleverly named after well known cocktails, like dirty martini, Mai Tai, etc. Only caveat is no color nor cut. I’ve tried this place four times and they’ve been consistently go

23 minutes past my appointment ant still waiting. Front describe can’t tell me when a stylist will actually be available! Can someone please explain to these people the point of actually making an appointment?! And if you run a few minutes late, they won’t hold your appointment! I feel 2 stars are too many, but I’m an optimist and hope they will get me in before the event I’m going to actually starts!!! Running late for the event, initially I was very happy with the blow out and considered to give them a 4 star, but within 20 minutes all the curls were gone which means a job horribly done considering my hair type; I can keep a blow out and curls for 3 days of I wanted to and it would still look as if I just had my hair done! ********* I really appreciate you reaching out to me, and I understand that things happen that ruins the schedule for an entire day but a simple«we apologize that we’re running late, is there anything we can do in the meanwhile or we will make sure to get to you as fast as we can» or anything similar would have been great, especially since I had made the appointment a couple of weeks ahead! What truly pissed me off was the nonchalant way of answering my question about when I could expect to be seated, and the complete lack of consideration for the value of your client’s time. The fact that my hair didn’t hold… yeah, too bad… but if that had been the only issue, it wouldn’t keep me from going back considering I’ve had experience with several good stylists in that shop before, and actually made several referrals because of the good job they had done; I would just make sure I’d get a different stylist, but the rudeness of the front desk staff is what will keep me away from Drybar in Pasadena from now on.
