This place is all show no results. Just do your time be gone. They falsified documents, and also lie to anybody who comes in about your status. It’s all about the money to the owners. It’s not a safe and healthy place to get help. Stay away. Te food is the best thing about this facility…

I was first introduce to Eaton Canyon Treatment Center back in the 90’s! I was struggling with drug addition and alcoholism, couldn’t stay sober, kept relapsing. But once I was introduce to the real recovery process at Eaton Canyon, I discovered that I was dual diagnose, I was told that I suffered from clinical depression and alcoholism and I needed to treat both of them. But of course I did not believe it, so I had to suffered 16 more years of relapsing. In 2002 I contacted the program their at Eaton Canyon again. They were there for me and willing to help as they were through out the years of my relapsing. But this time it was different I was ready to listen. From that day to this I have been clean and sober for over 12 years! I love this place, they saved my life and many others lives. I give back there, I volunteer and help with the newcomers taking them to meetings and share my experience strength and hope! Because we have to give it away in order to keep it. James has taken a lot of hits, but that man has never given up, he is passionate about helping suffering addicts and alcoholics! No one does this thing perfectly, and we are not perfect, it all about progress not perfection.

When I was searching for a treatment facility, I found it was difficult to locate helpful information online to help with my choice. I ended up selecting Eaton Canyon — which, for me at least, turned out to be a mistake. My experience was negative, during a period when I was hoping for so help and support. A summary of my overall feeling: The Good The facility is beautiful. Eaton did a pretty good job of getting the participants to a sample of local AA Meetings. The Bad The quality of staff was mixed, some very concerned and helpful, others who really undermined the recovery process. Very nice facility, but lack of air conditioning made it unbearable. The only room that seemed to stay comfortable was the office where the owners worked. Either good or bad depending on circumstances, there is a very limited number of clients(apparently due to the fact that LA County rejecting Eaton’s «Use Permit». For me, and at least one other client, there was a real tone of intimidation that seemed counterproductive. The Unpleasant I was coerced out of a room, by a staff member(quasi), for which I’d paid extra. When my wife requested a refund, we received a negative answer in a note that concluded with a threat. Yikes. Moreover, I was spooked to learn some back-story regarding the arrest of the both the Owner and CEO(their titles may be fluid, but they were the decision makers at the facility during my stay). No additional comment from me, but worth evaluating the CBS News report at the following link when deciding on a facility:
I’ve learned that there are actually some excellent Treatment Centers in the immediate area that are available. Personally, I wish that I’d taken a pass on Eaton Canyon.
