These guys are the absolute best. Every time something goes wrong with my bass they always come to the rescue and always give me the most affordable option rather than telling me I need a bunch of stuff and over charging me. If you play upright bass come here. Even if you don’t need anything you’ll be glad you came. The repairs are always solid and everyone’s demeanor is very friendly. I would never go anywhere else. This place is simply the best. Update: I posted this review while my bass was getting worked on. I took it home and played it a bit and WOW! My bass never sounded, felt, or played this good. It is incredible and did I mention very affordable.

These guys are great. I visited them while I was down visiting friends in Pasadena. The sheer volume of Bass Fiddles they have is amazing. They had fresh out of the box new options and many used less expensive options that are great for beginner like me. The owner and his daughter were very helpful and I played many of the basses for about 1.5 hours. Many stores I have been to in the Bay Area do not have time for beginner questions like I had so I really appreciated their time. While I did not end up with taking home a bass I did purchase a bow and they once again were very helpful with my decision, as well as teaching me many things I did not know about bows. I would even have them make me an adjustable bridge if I lived closer to them. But for now I will have to just list them when I am in Pasadena jamming with my friends. FIVESTARS

Amazing family owned store! Tom and his family are very knowledgeable on everything in the store and makes your experience worth while. It’s nice to be able to go into a music store and not feel like a number, they want to make sure you get what’s right for your style of playing and are in no way pushy like some of the bigger corporate stores who just try to sell you the most expensive item they can. Their personal, friendly and knowledgeable service will most definitely keep me a loyal customer and I will recommend them to anybody looking to buy a stringed instrument.

This place is tucked away and is a gem. Tom the owner is super sweet and helpful. I needed an 1⁄8 cello for my little ones and didn’t want to spend a fortune on 5 year olds. he found one in the back that needed some attention– a real starter cello for wee ones. So they fixed it up for us and got it ready in less than 24 hours and now my 5 yr old twins are on the way to learning their first string instrument! Thanks tom! Mom is happy and kids are happy.
