Worst liquor store I have ever been in my life. No customer service. Attitude. Old product far as chocolates or any food and very poor with their Liquors

Between 1993 and 1997, I attended the University of Southern California. During that time, I got to enjoy the very finest of liquor stores that south-central Los Angeles has to offer. Most had an essential selection of alcohol, along with some tall cans, a small cold case of nonalcoholic beverages, and lots of sweets and salty foods. This little liquor store, hidden in plain sight in the middle of Pasadena, is reminiscent of those south-central liquor joints. The bulletproof Plexiglas encasing the cash register and front counter is an especially nice touch. As my wife and I walked in tonight, an older fellow, creepy to the bone, slinked and before us and made a beeline for the porno counter. I tried to keep one eye on him and the other on my bride as I grabbed four Chelada tall cans and quickly, paid for my purchase and got to the car. For as much security measure nonsense as the store has, you would think you were in the middle of Willowbrook or National city down south somewhere. But really, the location is not that bad here in East Pasadena, and I suppose they probably are just paranoid from having a handgun pointed in their general direction one too many times. There’s really no where to park for the store other than illegally at the mini mall lot just west, or on the street. If you’re sensitive about feeling like you are about to be in a bad cops and robbers movie, you probably don’t want to come here. However, if you grew up on the hard streets of East Pasadena Loco, well you can probably handle it. Por vida, Holmes.
