Besides a lady cutting my fabric telling me that Halloween is the work of the devil, when I just told her this was fabric for my Halloween costume, this place is great! I love it. Not as many loose yards in the bin as the Hancock in clear lake location. Still love.

Find someplace else if you need help. The employes are nice enough but getting guidance or advice about products is like pulling teeth. Also of the piles of coupons they have– none apply.

I always get treated so well here. It can get busy and crowded at times, but I don’t mind, because the ladies who work there are so nice and attentive. I never have problems here like I have had at OTHER places, and no I am not above pointing fingers — so I’m talking to you crappy Jo-Ann’s on Bay Area blvd. Not to mention the prices here are way more reasonable than at other stores.

So this is the good old Hancock Fabrics that you used to visit over on Spencer Highway in the old dollar theater building. A few weeks ago they had the good sense to hightail it out of that space and over to Fairmont Parkway to the Fairway Plaza. While the old location had a certain charm, let’s face it: it was small and seriously lacking in prime craft merchandise space and fabric. The new space is newer, brighter, larger and oh, boy, are you going to get into some serious trouble here! Take my advice and go on payday. Not only does this location have tons more fabric, but they also now have other craft supplies including jewelry making stuff, yarn, sewing and quilting notions and oh, so much more. There’s also an expanded home textiles section and more seasonal tchotchkes scattered around the store. And best of all, husbands, boyfriends, and/or other folks who may be tagging along with you on a shopping excursion but who are not otherwise interested in crafting(for shame!) have no excuse not to let you go in Hancock Fabrics with the Sports Authority right next door! It’s a genius shopping dichotomy made in heaven if you ask me.
