This is the best hospital cafeteria I have ever been to. Food is always consistent, amazing, and very affordable. I got the Corn Beef Hash and a side of Potatoes for only $ 2.16! What a steal.

While visiting a patient over the weekend we used the cafeteria for lunch.mistake. The fish tacos were clearly listed gluten free on a chart near the food. When we got the food. The fish was BREADED. when we pointed this out. the cook just shrugged. they used frozen fish and chip pieces for the tacos! Asked to speak to somebody in charge. now he didn’t understand English all that well. The chart was clear. the food was mismarked. I don’t expect this from a hospital that calls itself one of the best. should have eaten of a food truck. they have integrity!

Food is not great and soup is salty, I only gave it three stars because of the outdoor dining area. I would not buy these type of food for anyone staying at this hospital, better off bringing your own or go across the street to the supermarket.

The food prepared in the hospital whether you are a patient or dining in the cafeteria is really good! If you are a visitor, plan to enjoy a meal in the dining room on the first floor of the West Tower. The Salad Bar is always fresh and inviting with well over a dozen, rotating selections and as many dressing and topping options. Great soups and pizzas for those of you who want to serve yourself, but try some of the daily specials. They prepare wonderful ethnic dishes as well as service traditional American fare. If the daily menu reads, «Spicy.» don’t bother to ask, «How spicy is it?» Trust the sign, it is spicy and delicious! There is a difference din everyone palate, and the food here is spicy for the sake of the spices, not just loaded with hot peppers to make it H-O-T, hot. The food is made with combinations of spices to make it taste more authentic to the ethnicity of the recipe. If you are a patient here, you actually have Room Service menu from which to order, and when you call, and you want something changed a bit from the menu item, the staff member on the phone is happy to work with you, do not be shy about asking. If you only want red jello, ask for red jello … or do not like to waste food and only want half of salad, ask for half a salad. If they cannot accommodate your request, they will tell you, but they will work with you as best they are able.

The food was OK. I expected better because of the reviews. Pizza was good. I’d only go back if we were actually visiting someone.

This lobby has everything you could ever want in a lobby… Chairs, advertising literature, a hospital directory, it even has a few elevators that take you to magical places like the floors above you. I am sitting in lobby to heaven.

My oldest daughter was born here and they have literally remodeled this hospital to look like a 5-star hotel and the food is great in their cafeteria also! Their outdoor patio is really nice and i enjoyed the gift shop with so many cute little treats for my sweet tooth!

I can’t believe I am actually writing a review for a hospital cafeteria…:) They actually have fresh food for really decent prices. I mean a hot cup of coffee and breakfast(think eggs, bacon/sausage links, and toast) costs $ 3. I love their tuna salad sandwich. Definitely ask them for their daily specials as they have some good stuff. Sadly, their selection for room service(if you are a patient) isn’t as good as if you are ordering straight from the cafeteria. But if you are visiting someone at the hospital, venture down to the cafeteria and order some fresh food… it takes the edge off from being at a hospital.

THISIS A FRICKINHOSPITAL!!! LoL…the waiting room is so elegant, more like a hotel lobby. You can’t beat their cafeteria, cheap food, but still tastes good. Breakfast was less than 3 bucks(1 egg, 2 bacon, english muffin) lunch 6 bucks(cheeseburger and fries). They have so many options, sushi, pizza, salad bar, etc. Ahh I wish I worked here! haha

Cafeteria food that doesn’t make me want to gag? Horray! I like to get the patty melt on sourdough with grilled onions or the grilled chicken sandwich. I don’t really stray from these two things. I’ve also had the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was– OK– a bit salty for me but my mom thought it was good. The soups are also pretty good, my favorites are the cream of broccoli and the creamy tomato basil– yum! I used to get a nice salad from the salad bar but I stopped because I found a huge clump of dirt in it one day. Now, I know«pre washed» salad mixes can have dirt clumps left in them from when they were packaged, this is why we should wash our greens before eating them. The dirt clump was dry and about the size of a large marble. It totally grossed me out because it means the hospital doesn’t wash their salad greens– No thanks, I don’t want any ecoli.

This place is not your typical cafeteria with tuna noodle surprise on Monday and sloppy Joe Wednesday’s. This wallet friendly joint puts out some pretty good food. The grilled to order cheeseburgers taste like summer and the crispy fries are less than $ 6. Sadly, no refills on sodas. I’d avoid the time period after lunch and before dinner. Food looks like it’s been sitting for awhile. The tuna salad was fresh and they do offer some lower calorie fare items. The cashiers were no warm fuzzies. You’d think working in a hospital would motivate employees to be a little more upbeat. I want to return but not really. Hospitals give me the heebie jeebies.

I have not posted in months, so this was my first thought that came to me to write about. My bro was there for 3 months, so I visited the cafeteria often. All meals, I think even the late meal that goes till 2AM. They have a weekly printed menu that you can take, covering all 4 meals Sunday through Saturday. The salad bar is great! Better than most salad bar restaurants. Some items change daily in the salad bar. They charge by weight. Not a bad way as it usually comes out about the same or less compared to a restaurant. There are hot items, daily specials, 2 hot soups, desserts, most types of drinks, soda’s from the fountain or cans. Juices, coffee etc… There are packaged sandwiches or you can have them make something for you. Hamburgers are good and the pizza is great! Even the packaged sushi was good, a little pricy but good. Yes, the food is really good. Good enough to go for 3 meals a day. Well for a while, as we did go out about once a week to others restaurants within walking distance. You can also take out food as they have a supply of bags at the checkout cashier. Some people are there as a result of an accident, or maybe something a little more pleasant as having a baby, but for whatever reason, the cafeteria seems to take some of the unpleasantness out of your visit, at least a great selection of food for a guy sure does! Oh, but don’t go during a meal change. Sometimes the main entrees are not out. There is a nice outside patio area with a water fountain that the kids like to run through. Another smaller patio area on the south side that is more remote. The only part about the hospital dining is you have to pay for parking, unless you are lucky enough to find street parking. But who goes to the hospital just to eat? I probably would on certain occasions, but mostly for convenience if I was already there.(for 90 days!) And lets not forget Starbucks just to the side of the eating area. I’m not one to buy from them, but there are there are sometimes very busy. Enjoy!

I have done rotation at a few hospital and this by far is the BESTHOSPITAL food i ever tasted. Their breakfast is amazing and cheap: D –breakfast is to die for their oatmeal with brown sugar is not bad, but WARNING it might run out :( –the chorizo is really good! this might run out too !!! But it’s so good — portions are big so bring a SHARING buddy –the Quesadillas are goood too! Lunch –the food is pretty good too! –they have a pizza station, a sandwhich station, and other food station. What i like about it is they have this one station that is unique every day and it’s a wok!(one time they had curry, the next day they have like steamed shrimp, special salad — always amazing and never disappointing) ALL& All service is good, food is good and i think in terms of cafeteria wise in hospitals it has the best food in a clean environment. You might even spot some eye candy physicians

The docteur(my boss) always goes to the hospital for his daily tuna sandwich on rye. And for lunch meetings, he sends me off to the cafeteria to get 17 sandwiches for $ 20. Amazingly cheap, I know. Their sandwiches are complete with two slices of pickles, lettuce, your type of cheese, bread, condiments, choice of meats from turkey, chicken breast, roast beef, ham, or tuna.. .comes out to a paltry sum of $ 2.75. If you work as a staff member.. .you get an additional 20% off. They also have paninis, which change daily, gourmet sandwiches(also changes daily), a grill to make your favorite double(or single) cheeseburger(from $ 3.00), hot dog.. .and a carvery station with roat beef or ham or tri tip or whatnot. Some days there are rows and rows of dripping ddelicious rotisserie chickens rotating over a brick oven fire.. .mmn! Their entrees come a la carte, or with sides for an addition $ 1.25. They even serve sushi(pricier at $ 11 – 13 per box) but they look fresh and do not taste at all like the sushi sold at TJ’s or Costco. Their pizzas are insanely large and run about $ 2.50 or so a slice, depending on if it’s vegetarian or not. They have calzones, and desserts as well, and a specialty of the day.. .either being pasta, mexican, or a gourmet salad. They have an open salad bar(price paid by weight) and two daily soups.. .usually one is cream based, the other broth. For a giant cup of soup sets you back only $ 2.09. Not too bad!!! They also have fruit bars and other ice creams ranging from chocolate, to ice cream sandwiches and the like. They are around $ 1.75 each, and they also have a bakery section with muffins, scones, donuts and other delightful pastries. They brew Starbucks coffee.. .and the cafeteria is clean, big, bright, and with and outdoor seating area with a fountain. This place has got to be one of my favorite places to go to for lunch. Best thing is, it’s right across from my work, so it’s just a measly 1 minute walk away!
