I’m shocked to read some of the negative comments regrding this school. I passed my road test on Oct 7TH. My experience with Liza the insturctor was the best. With his help I learned how to drive safely along with giving me the skills to pass the road exam! You cant beat the price either. Compared to other schools in Manhattan this is the most reasonable priced! I reccommend this school to anyone interested in learning how to drive.

Loved my experience at the ice house. Smallish venue with a strong drinks. We saw the Sklar bros and enjoyed our 2 drinks.

If you’ve never had to go traffic school, congratulations! You’ve clearly found a way to not drive! Let’s face it… I don’t care who you are, you will get busted for something at some point. Wait… I suppose you could be rich and not care about your insurance rates, in which case, well, !@#$ you! For the rest of us, traffic school is a reality we have to live with. Don’t be like me. Don’t take the online version. They’ve changed the rules so that you have to sit through each section and then answer the questions right before you get to go to the next section. It is painful! I learned my lesson and went to the ice house traffic school. Liza, the instructor, made it fun, even if I wasn’t falling on my but laughing. We still managed to talk about the rules of the road, but we did it in an entertaining way that made me forget I had just given up my Saturday. Plus, you got a few free tickets to an ice house show. Not a bad deal. Now, if I can just do my best to not get a ticket in the first place. Hmm… I should probably stop writing Unilocal reviews of police departments…

For anyone who lives in the San Gabriel Valley, I strongly recommend taking Ice House Comedy Traffic School. Liza gives you a lot of tips and pointers that you will not find in any online traffic school class. She gives you a lot of suggestions on which streets, intersections, and freeways that you need to be cautious of(especially if you drive around in the San Gabriel Valley a lot). California just passed a new law where you cannot repeat traffic school for another 18 months after having taking one. Because insurance premiums skyrocket once you get a point on your driving record, you need to do whatever you can to prevent yourself from getting another one. That’s why this traffic school is extremely helpful and for your own benefit. I always preferred attending a comedy traffic school because you can get it done all at once while being entertained and learning at the same time. I attended the Monday and Tuesday night class, and we only had four students including me. Liza told us that we were the smallest class she ever had. Unlike a Saturday morning class, it’s very easy to get sleepy in the late evening. Liza is still full of energy and helps you pay attention to important things that she wants you to know for you own good(even advice that may help you save your own life). I have to give kudos to her for keeping the energy going. I laughed at some of her jokes too, and her jokes are clean. She’s very friendly. She would never embarrass anyone in class or throw you in the spotlight if you don’t feel like participating. She makes everyone feel welcomed. I would definitely recommend Ice House Comedy Traffic School.

My mom found a groupon, $ 7 for 7 comedians per person. My brother and I were both home for the holidays, so we thought it would be fun to go to comedy show the four of us! They have a two drink minimum, but that includes non-alcohol drinks for us babies out there! Everyone was really friendly, the theatre was clean, we sat a a table, and the comedians were great! I will definitely be back!

7 for 7 was funny. DONOTDRINKANYTHING from their glassware. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty. This place has very poor customer service and staff attitude. Beware.

It is very hard for me to complete traffic school online, so opted to do it in a class. The Ice Comedy Traffic School was great, we had a pretty small amount of people in our class and time flew pretty fast. They have a couple of good restaurants around for lunch, too. I gave them only four stars because they started late and had us waiting for a while.

As a recipient of fairly frequent speeding tickets, I have some experience with traffic school and cannot imagine anyone being a better instructor than Liza. She makes this much more bearable than I’d imagined it would be. If you find yourself in the unenviable position of not being able to do traffic school online(because it has been less than 18 months since you last took traffic school), look no further than the Ice House.

Liza = «Perky». Or as I like to say SUPERHIGHENERGY !!! Signed up for this traffic school and went for the Monday/Tuesday night(8 hour) version. The instructor, Liza, was very energetic and tried her best to engage with everyone in the room which was a monumental feat. As a connoisseur of ‘dick and fart’ jokes I can attest that none were to be found here. But the information was heavy and well doled out. Would totally go back… hopefully, I won’t have to…

Great experience with the Ice House Comedy Traffic School! So if you’re a law abiding citizen, this review does not apply for you! For the rest of you«criminals» pay attention. Traffic school has got to be the most grueling task you have to overcome in order to keep our driving records in good standing and avoid insurance premium hikes. You have your options: classroom or online. If you’re the type that prefers classroom, then you have to agree that the only way to get through 8 hours of hell is through a comedy traffic school! So for my most recent speeding ticket(one of many), I decided to attend an 8 hour Saturday class. Classes during the week are available also in the evening time but for only 4 hours per night, so you’ll have to come for two days. The comedian for the day was JEFFHODGE. Really great guy and hilarious as well. He definitely made our class entertaining. The 8 hours went by pretty quick I should say! At the end of the day you’re also given passes to attend The Ice House without the cover charge. Really cool! So if you really want to avoid that point on your record, do yourself a favor and sign up for this!

I was given a list of anywhere in L.A. to do traffic school, and despite the fact that Pasadena was clear across town from where I was up in L.A., I chose the Ice House. I choose it solely based on the positive Unilocal reviews. I’ve been to an in person traffic school before, and I’ve also done it a couple times online, so I knew that it can be a horrendously boring experience, and I was not interested in sitting somewhere for 12 tedious hours with a boring instructor. I’m so glad I chose to do traffic school here. I had Liza, and she was charismatic and made everybody laugh. It’s called ‘comedy traffic school’, but that doesn’t mean she’s up there telling zingers and one liners. She is just great at getting everybody smiling and into a discussion about traffic, and she really does cover everything she’s supposed to. The time flies by, the breaks are ample, and it’s a great time. I don’t know what bothered the one star reviewer so much, but I had no such issues. If I have to do traffic school again, this is where I’ll be, hands down.

#pasadena …Never thought I would end up laughing continually while attending Traffic School. Nobody likes going to Traffic School, and the Ice House makes no bones about this, but they try to limit the shitty aspect of wasting one’s Saturday as much as they possibly can. Liza(I think I remember her name correctly) was a hoot – if a bit manic. I can wholeheartedly recommend this traffic school if and when you eventually get traffic citation. (Minus one star automatically because traffic school sucks.)

I actually enjoyed this class. The instructor was JEFFHODGE and he was fun and very knowledgeable! we went over traffic signs, our experiences– he could answer any question! we took a pop quiz along with a 92 question DMV test at the end. we had plenty of breaks which is nice to stretch out and grab coffee. it’s in a nice area with places to shop and eat while on break. I had a good time today! I think the instructor makes all the difference :) Plus you got free return tickets for a real comedy show.

In context — 5 stars — opposed to the previous reviewer who had Amy, I had Liza, who is not the same as Liza as the reviewer — anyways… OK — in a way, I am glad I read the horrible review the night before I began my 12 hour excursion into Traffic know-how. My expectations were low, so I emerged very very content with the experience. Again, don’t expect it to be a positive life altering experience, but, as long as you do your part and participate in the class, it should be quite a good time. I cant think of another place to go, should I get another ticket. The class was

It’s actually taken some time and distance to even talk about my experience at The Ice House Comedy Traffic School. Much like The Stockade or The Rack, The Ice House Comedy Traffic School was certainly a deterrent to never get another moving violation as long as I live. So, in that aspect it succeeded. But, in every other aspect it not only failed, it violated all who entered. There was no school. There was no comedy. There was no talk of «traffic.» I took a Saturday class, so I got Amy as an instructor. Amy let us know she’s been doing this for 16 years. For the first hour or so, you think Amy is breaking the ice with her mundane, droning banter. Surely after the 11:30 break, we’ll get down to business. It’s actually adorable, looking back, that I even thought this. Naïve. Silly. Oh, how jaded I am now! The vehicle code book stood sentry… waiting to be cracked open. Alas. The book never got cracked open. What we have here is a failed comic with 8 hours and a trapped audience. Imagine yourself at, let’s say, a wedding. And you’re sitting next to Crazy Aunt Helen. She’s complaining about everything, mildly racist, offers conspiracy theories as fact and has an opinion on everything — most statements starting with, «Well, in Europe…» And you’ve got some idea as to what you’re in store at The Ice House Comedy Traffic School. Amy was at best laughably tragic, at worst a racist, conspiracy theorizing anarchist who felt none of us really deserved our tickets. She held the«test» until right around 4:30, when she finally decided to read the questions aloud as we all muttered the answers. She then went around the room and told us to be honest about how many we missed, filling in perfect scores as the time finally clicked down. This was a defining experience in my life. Before Ice House Comedy Traffic School and after. If something seems insurmountable in front of me I now say, «I survived The Ice House Comedy Traffic School I can certainly climb Mount Everest…»
