Integrity Lash – Eyelash Extensions

I figured this many people on Unilocal could not be wrong, and they were not! I recently went in for a full lash-​up which is a huge time commitment at 3 hours, but the technician who did my lashes (Tracy) was so gentle and the bed so comfy that I ended up sleeping through at least 2 of those hours. I wasn’t completely sure what to get, so I left it up to Tracy to decide and woke up from my nap with a beautiful set of luscious lashes.
A week later, the lashes still look as good as when I first got them — I think maybe one lash fell out so far. I normally wear eye liner and mascara but have not felt compelled to put any on since having my lashes done — I just feel pretty when I wake up and good to go. That said, upon further inspection, I think the lashes are a tad on the long/​big side for me, and I will probably ask for something slightly less dramatic the next time I go in for a refill. The reason… although I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my lashes, the fact that my dad noticed and commented to my mom on «Cynthia’s fake lashes» makes me think I should go for a more subtle look the next time, hahaa.

I’ve never had lash extensions before, but I thought I’d give them a whirl. Firstly, their boutique is quite charming and beautifully decorated. First impression is everything! Everyone was very friendly and professional. I even explained that I needed to feed the meter in an hour and, not only did they do it for me, they paid for it, too! I went in feeling confident I had chosen a good salon.
My tech, Nirvana, was very thorough in explaining every bit of the process. I showed her my wish-​pic, and she also let me browse the iPad to see what kind of lashes I wanted. We had a very clear discussion about what I wanted.
The experience is a little nerve-​racking at first. I mean, it’s my eyes! But I put my headphones on and tried to relax while nirvana taped down my lower lids. She has an incredible gentle touch. It was little uncomfortable with the tape, but I eventually got used to it. And there was a tiny bit of burning from the glue– which she went over with me before we started.
2+ hours later and I had some beautiful thick new lashes! I LOVE having them. They make my beauty routine so much easier; no more mascara that burns my eyes. No raccoon eyes at the end of the day. No more false lashes that rip out my own lashes when removing them. I feel pretty when I wake up! And, if I want to amp things up, I can wear regular mascara over them (nothing waterproof though, just fyi). Their glue doesn’t dissolve with makeup remover, which is great.
All in all, I’m quite pleased, and look forward to my next visit.

Due to circumstances I had to change my appointment twice. Paul was absolutely fantastic at working with me in order to get me in asap, so I wouldn’t have to wait until December. My «to-​go» girl (Christina) was already booked, through until January no less.
This time my lash artist was MYHA (pronounced me-​ha). She was so gentle in her application method that I actually fell asleep. I examined my lashes throughly after she was finished and I am pleased with the outcome. She was able to execute my lashes as I had discussed with her (longer in the center, and not so close to the tear duct).
