The customer service was amazing. The cake was beyond amazing. I emailed with a ton of questions and got all of them answered and then some(very quickly too). When we picked up the cake it looked exactly how I envisioned it. Once we were able to eat the cake, I didn’t want to put it down. My son said it tasted like«wedding cake», which in his mind is the best cake you can possibly eat HAHAHA! I am only going to Lauer’s from now on. Between the customer service and the actual quality of the cake there is no other choice.

Bottom Line: A smallish, local grocery store that is sensibly organized and has an amazing bakery. I really like the efficiency of Lauer’s. Unlike many new grocery stores, it is a reasonable size so you can get in and out without a lot of extra walking. Moreover, the parking lot is never too crazy. I also appreciate that the layout is pragmatic. On my first trip to Lauer’s I was able to find everything I needed thanks practical and intuitive organization. I like that Lauer’s carries a variety of local products like Sun of Italy. I also appreciate the lovely display of gift items that greets me when I enter. And a trip to Lauer’s is never complete without checking out the bakery. I repeat, a trip to Lauer’s is never complete without checking out the bakery. Even if I don’t need any baked goods, I at least pick up a package of their amazing buttery soft dinner rolls because it seems criminal to leave Lauer’s without getting some from that corner of the store. The employees are friendly and I’m glad to support this local business two towns over from where I live.

DONUTS. If you don’t pick up at least 6 donuts on your trip here, your crazy! And out of those 6, 2MUST be the apple fritters. Wow. We drove 45min, to get a box of these. They are so worth the trip and better then most donut shops. The marshmallow filled and the cake donuts are also super yummy! If you live in Pasadena and have never had a donut from Lauers, then your missing out!

Nice little store. I especially like the knickknacks section, I saw lots of décor that I really don’t need but want.

I love the deli here. And their fried chicken is equally great, too.

I travel past 2 Giants and 2 Safeway stores to go to Lauer’s It’s the best grocery store. Best and freshest food, deli, hot bar, gifts —you name it. And as silly as it may sound, they even have the best bags! I love this store! And the owners are gracious and honest. If you shop Lauer’s once, you’ll agree.

Doesn’t look like much right away, but man do they have almost everything I need in one place! These guys hit the mark in that I found many gluten free options, veggie bacon, a decent chip collection, and it didn’t kill my wallet. The deli doesn’t carry Boar’s Head, but they do have Dietz and Watson. You don’t need a shopper’s card, and they have a «buy local» deal that gives you some money off. It seems they really focus on buying local, but I would’ve hoped that meant better produce. The produce section isn’t well-organized, there were flies buzzing around, and there was limited salad options. I also would’ve liked a better seafood section given where we live, but I would get crabs roadside anyway.

This market has been here for a long time and has served pasadena with gorceries for many years. After expanding and making their hot bar even larger, the shoping experience here is simular to a safeway, without the extended shoppers discount program and high prices. The butcher isn’t too bad many of the cuts of meat here are on par for the cost vs quality, though its least likely your going to see black angus here, the ny strips are fair, though small, fine for the cost. I would recommend a visit as they do give back to local schools when shooing so they are very much apart of the town.
