Not good. My boyfriend went to this place for a haircut that he saw in a magazine. This man look the photo and said: I got it. Whe he finished, the haircut didn’t look like nothing to the photo. When we told him that it wasn’t that my boyfriend wanted, he was very rude, and started to say a lot of things. If he couldn’t do that kind of work, he would have been honest with us. He charged $ 15 for a very bad work, we feel like we have been robbed

Saturday a.m., no wait. Leo gave me a good haircut, with scissors, very fast. Just $ 13.

They do a phenomenal job every time for incredibly reasonable prices. What more could you want?

I’ll put 0 if I can. I’ve got the most messed up haircut, and the rudest barber in my life. I don’t write reviews, complain about a bad service. But, what happened to me was exceptionally bad. Stay away from this place!

Went in for a haircut and beard trim. I have not let anyone touch my hair for over 2 years. Found them here on Unilocal and decided to take a chance. Daughter is graduating tomorrow and dad wanted to look nice. I called and asked if I needed an appointment. The gentleman that answered the phone said no, just walk in. I told him I was on my way. Waited briefly and was greeted warmly. Discussed my concerns and we talked about the hair throughout the time he was working on me. He did a fabulous job in my opinion. I will not hesitate to return. Prices are so good, it will make your head spin. Thanks for the great haircut and beard trim.

I just moved out to Pasadena from Colorado and was utterly dumbfounded to find all of the hair places around here charge something between $ 40 – 50 when I’m used to $ 20 for an excellent hair cut and great conversation. My budget at this time doesn’t allow for a $ 50 hair cut(nor do I see why that is even reasonable) so when I found Luisas’ on Unilocal I figured it was my only shot. I was a little concerned when I read the single one star review, but like I said, it’s the only place I know that charges reasonably. I showed up without an appointment and was helped immediately and though, as others have said, there was a small language barrier, the gentleman who cut my hair was rather astute and figured out what I wanted quite quickly. Honestly the communication issue was on my end. He was quick and very skilled. Normally I would say he was professional but that doesn’t come close to explaining my experience. He clearly knew what he was doing, and it seemed as though he had been doing it for quite some time. At the end of the day he cut my hair on par with the best I’ve ever had in half of the time and at 75% of the price. I’ll be coming back for as long as I live here.

Stumbled onto this place on Memorial Day Holiday, as I was frantically looking around town nearby to fix my aweful haircut before the evening that was starting to look like a broom from all the heat. Drove by and saw this place was open at around 4pm, and when I got there, the open says got turned off. The lady and man saw us, and was nice enough to spend another 15 to 20 minutes with our haircuts. Way cool. Got a bad haircut fixed here for cheap and loved the result! Totally intended on posting a nice review for the very nice lady and man who run this very clean-looking shop, and not surprised to see a bunch of 5-star reviews. Great prices and they know what they’re doing too! p. s. on a tiny corner, so might miss it, but keep your eyes peeled! you’ll be glad you did!

Wow! I just came to this place to cut my hair. Based on the reviews. And oh wow. How disappointed I am. This place cant cut hair. I ask for a fade and the dude couldn’t do it. I am so disappointed. Stay away, if your looking for a fresh, low fade, go somewhere else. I am gonna have to go to my old barber to get this ugly hair fixed.

It’s amazing how I got the haircut I exactly wanted with limited verbal communication. I barely spoke Spanish and she spoke very limited English. So we improvised with hand gestures and a little bit of google on my iphone to get my instructions accross. With a little effort on both ends and with her attention to detail, she got it right on the money. $ 11 plus tip and I left a very happy groomed man. I’m definitely coming back.

Well what can I say, solid haircut and beard trim for only $ 12, she communicates with me the whole time to make sure it wasn’t too short and she was doing a good job each time she started an area she would show me first before continuing. Although there were about 5 people ahead of me I was in and out in about 25 minutes. Will go back!

I just went to this place this morning. It was the second time that I’ve had my hair cut by somebody other than my mother in over ten years, and I’m very pleased. I walked in without an appointment, and there were three guys ahead of me but I only had to wait about fifteen minutes before it was my turn. The barber was very friendly and very skilled — I had pretty long hair for a guy and he quickly progressed through several successively-shorter hairstyles, stopping at each one to ask me whether or not I liked it. They were all fine but I wanted very short hair so I told him to keep going and in the end I walked out of there with a fresh, no-nonsense haircut that’ll last me at least a few weeks. You can’t beat the price. The haircut cost only $ 11. He takes both cash and credit card. The barbershop itself is located on the northeast corner of Orange Grove and Garfield and they open at 9:00AM on weekdays. I don’t have many other barbershop experiences to compare this to, but if you’re a guy looking for a fast, cheap, quality haircut, Luisa’s salon is a great place to go.

I just got my hair did. This place has been my go-to barbershop joint for about 15 years, and has never disappointed. I’ve never left the place thinking, «man, he fucked it up in the back». I always get it hooked up nice! The cuts are cheap and of quality. My haircut,(I have a lot of hair) is just 11 dollars. I only get it cut like 4 times a year. Shit, ya’ll know me! They’re right on the corner of Orange Grove Blvd and Garfield Ave. Luisa is there as well, it’s a husband and wife team. The best times to go if you’re a man would be weekdays right at opening. Women, save it for Saturday morning – they open at 8am for your cuts. So now when I reply to threads on these message boards that ask, «What do you look like», I can answer them honestly. «I look like a Mexican Revolutionary… who just got a haircut.» ;-)
