I had a bad experience with hair extensions here. After losing a significant amount of hair due to medical treatment, I made the mistake of opting for extensions. Kelley charged me a HUGE amount of money for the hair/​labor, and my hair honestly never really looked that good. I never got ONE compliment on my hair (the true test as to how you really look). The wefts also would come out randomly, taking my precious hair with it. She also does something to the hair in the prep process that renders it totally useless to another hair dresser. When I went back to get the «redo» after 6 months, she would not honor the price she originally quoted me. Make sure you get any prices in writing. She is very money motivated. I subsequently removed the hair extensions, and have been letting my hair grow out naturally. It takes time, but it is way better than putting your hair through hell with these hair extensions.

I first began going to Kelley a little over 2 years ago. I was in the process of growing out my edgy short Rihana hair cut and wanted to get extensions. I had gone to many salons and spoken to many stylists and they had all told me the same thing — my hair was too short for extension. They all had told me it was impossible to put extensions in my hair without them being very visable. After hearing all this I had no hope of being able to get extensions for atleast a few months however I had a consiltation meeting with Kelley later that week. I decided to keep my appointment and just see what she had to say. I went to my appointment without any hope. The second I met Kelley I loved her energy and sweet personality. She looked at my hair and told me that my hair was short but it was not impossible to put in extensions. I was so happy to hear that news, I made an appointment right away and we began our journey. Our first extension process was long due to me having so much hair being put in my head. Kelley was so amazing she made the time so enjoyable. At one point she realized she didn’t have enough hair so she went to the store and bought more hair for me and didn’t even charge me more than the price we had talked about. Her goal was to do whatever it took to make sure I was happy with the end result. My hair was about 1 ½″ on each side and she put in 22″ extensions. Kelley cut and colored (ombred) my hair so well that no one could tell I had extesnions. I went to work on Monday and everyone was in shock at how amazingggggg my hair looked. Ever since that day I can not let anyone else touch my hair. Meeting Kelley has been the best thing that has ever happened to my hair.

My hair is very fine & I always wanted longer, thicker natural looking hair. I found this place by chance & am so glad I did. I came in for a free consultation, & Kelley was a delight to meet. She advised what was realistically possible & then made it happen. The process took a few hours, but the time flew by as I had so much fun chatting with Kelley.
The hair quality is fantastic. Kelley matched the extensions to my hair color exactly. The overall finished look is totally realistic, & I don’t think anybody even suspects I have extensions. They’re also easy to care for, I’m not into high maintenance.
Price wise, it does seem expensive, but the price also includes after care. After a month or so, I had some extensions coming loose, so I went back in & Kelley did a thorough check & fixed everything for free.
I completely recommend this place & guarantee you’ll love Kelley. She’s a true professional, & clearly takes pride in her work.

I’m back with more praise for Kelly McGarrigl… listen up: she’s still fabulous, just has moved down the street to Union Salon. She not only rocks my hair, she just transformed my second cousin’s hair and friend’s hair… daily I hear, «that hair color looks great on you.» She makes me feel confident and doesn’t charge a billion bucks so I can keep coming back, feeling pretty! PS: not only do my first cut/​color morph into other darling creations as they grow out, when I want to change up the color, I usually don’t even require a cut b/​c my hair holds the original cut (and I don’t want to change a thing)…now that’s skill!
