Love this little nook. The salsas are fresh and there’s a nice variety of heats from mild to wild! The tacos a la Cabeza are off the hook dee-licious, as are the tacos a la Lengua… but you have to be into that sort of down-home, no-nonsense, seriously-old-school«comida». If you want skinless chicken breast with a splash of lime and low carb high fiber tortillas, this isn’t for you. I mean, more power to ya! But scratch this one off your list. It’s fresh, authentic, simple, really toothsome and very filling — and affordable. I like it a lot.

Support local businesses. Came in here after my disappointing experience at b.r.m. Very happy I persevered for a better place. Super friendly, clean, fast and delicious here at puebla. I prefer this location to lake because it’s bigger, nicer and eclectic decorations. Can’t beat the lp records and player for use as a jukebox. Came in for breakfast and enjoying chilaqules right now. They make them green or red too. They also make really good soups and mole for the winter weather. So elated. So satisfied. So good.

Love this location of Puebla Tacos! It’s worth a visit just to see the cacti & succulent garden outside.(very creative) Although they’re not the cheapest tacos, they are always tasty and dependable.

I have been coming. For years they had fair prices on the food BUTNOWTHEPRICESARETHROUGHTHEROOF $ 8.99 for burritos and $ 3.49 for Tacos they are NUTS. Tacos are small and so are their burritos. The food is ok but not at those price we will not be going back. There are better tasting places like Mota’s on Lincoln by the Walmart and they have great food with handmade tortillas on Tonnys on Orange Grove & Lake.

I came to this place at 12:42pm today(New Years day). My husband and I drove past looking for a place to eat. We pulled into the Hens Tooth Square because we saw that the open sign was lit and that there were people inside eating. I walked up to the door and jiggled the handle but it was locked. I waited for about 2 minutes as the patrons inside were looking at me. finally a man who appeared to be working there rudely said they were closed through the door. I’m not sure if it was some sort of private party but it was all very off-putting since they had the open sign. Next time i’ll just try one of the other thousand Mexican food places in Pasadena.

I’ve been coming to this place off/on for 5 or so years because I really like their food, but I absolutely DISLIKE the service I get especially from one particular dude. The first few times I went there this particular jackhole would not speak to me in English, even though I said«Perdon, No hablo Español». My Hispanic American friends have told me that he probably thinks I’m Hispanic and that I’m not using my Spanish, so he’s refusing to speak to me in English. I get that because I look like I am, but I’m not. AND I told him that I don’t speak Spanish!!! Really, this is how you want to treat your patrons and give them a hard time ordering?! Well, this last visit will be the very last time me or my friends/family will step foot into this place. Not only did he not speak to me in English but he charged me $ 4 extra dollars for a fricken burrito. If I wasn’t a lady, I would have accessed google translate and told him ¡Como te atreves! Estúpido pedazo de mierda ! =)

They’re lucky I’m in a good mood because my experience could have easily warranted one star. It should first be noted that I am a big fan of the Puebla Tacos on Orange Grove and Lake. That place is great, this place is an embarrassment to the Puebla Tacos name. Getting right to the point, the main reason I’m writing this review is because I was supremely disappointed with what I received for the price I paid. Nothing makes me more angry than feeling ripped off or being promised something that completely falls short of even the base level of acceptability. I ordered an al pastor burrito. They asked«with everything?», to which I responded yes. Ironically enough, «everything» turned out to be «everything but al pastor»! I would be generous in saying that there was even two ounces of meat in the entire thing! The burrito was ready in about one minute, meaning that they heated pre-cooked meat on a griddle instead of cooking fresh meat from scratch. It was wrapped in paper and then in foil, and it was a soggy, soaking wet mess. Not like a wet burrito, mind you, because that would have been a dollar extra. The filler material was tasty enough, but the beans were watery and sloppy. To top it off, it was $ 9.50! The size was comparable to a fast food burrito, perhaps even a little smaller, and shouldn’t have been more than $ 5.50−7, tops. In no rational universe would this ever be considered a $ 10 burrito! To be fair, the flavor was decidedly good, but it was marred by the bitter taste in my mouth. My once promising lunch devolved into a treasure hunt where each new discovery of a tiny chunk of meat only made me wistful at the lack thereof. Chips and a small cup of very fresh, delicious pico de gallo were included with the burrito. I suppose they were the consolation prize for having lost the burrito lottery. Better luck next time :(

Way over priced for what you get, 3.50 for a simple taco, 8.95 for a burrito. Nothing special, beans were pretty good. My kids ordered a kids taquitos it was 5.99, didn’t include guacamole either. Won’t be back.

The décor is awesome, and the food, although a bit pricier than similar restaurants, is great. Indoor and outdoor seating. Check out the huge murals on the walls or the crazy art work in the patio. Friendly staff.

This place was okay but I definitely would not go here again. I got a BBQ beef burrito(I’m assuming that meant barbacoa) and it was pretty good. Seemed like your standard burrito, but it was 9 dollars and a little on the small size. I also wasn’t really into the salsa. Being that there is a truck a block away that is better and almost half the price, certainly doesn’t help this place out.

I use to come here at least twice a week when I lived in Pasadena, so I don’t know how I forgot about them but on my way to work I stopped and got breakfast 2 crunchy tacos and dinner Pazole, of course I had to taste my dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious so I will definitely become a regular once again. Oh and the owner is a very generous guy, so friendly that while I waited for my food he offered me a Mexican breakfast as he called it which had lots of different chilies and eggs scrambled on a soft corn tortilla, kind of like machaca without the beef, that he just made for himself off of his plate and it was absolutely delicious. Very authentic Mexican food, highly recommend.

We intended on going to the café next door for breakfast, but it was closed. Really glad it was because this cute little restaurant was open and had amazing breakfast burritos and breakfast plates. My boys loved the murals on the walls.

Got the wet Carne Asada burrito. How does anyone eat this thing??? It’s hard to cut and falls apart when you try. It’s like cutting a bag of marbles. Everything just falls out. And you can’t hold it, because it’s wet! All in all, pretty good stuff. I got the verde sauce on the outside, but honestly, I wouldn’t get the wet burrito again. Besides the whole salsa fiasco, I thought this place did the burrito well, so 4⁄5 stars, señor. I was so hungry when I came, but that burrito killed my appetite in the best way possible.
