Some time in summer this year, I thought I just dislocated my right index finger while I was bouldering at Joshua Tree, but the swelling was still bad after 4 weeks and you know what they say, if it last longer than 4 hours, go call your doctor immediately :) I got referred to Risser Surgery Center and Dr. Mostofi from my PCP at USC, she highly recommended both, the center and the doctor, and I’m glad I followed her advice. I saw Dr. Mostofi, he checked my finger and told me that it’s more than just a dislocation. I actually had broken finger and a piece of bone was floating in there, pushing against a nerve in the first joint. Dr. M explained everything to me, all kind of possibilities I have, the whole 9 yards. He didn’t push me into a direction, he let me make the decision what I want to get done. After I decided to have surgery to get the piece removed, we scheduled everything and it went perfectly. The surgery was a full success an with the physical therapy that I had later, my finger is completely healed and I have absolutely no issues, I’m so happy I went to this place and got it fixed.

I have had hand surgery at Risser Surgery Center on two separate occasions. From the minute you enter the center everyone is very professional but yet friendly and reassuring. The environment is very clean. Dr. Mostofi imparts a calming affect to his patients with his pleasant manner and explains all aspects of care in a thorough yet simplistic approach. As a nurse myself, I am so happy that this little gem of a surgery center his part of our community. Every aspect of this center is top notch. My sincere thank you to all the wonderful staff !
