If you have any issues with your gums and dental implants and your General Dentist cannot treat it .! this is the place you need to come, Dr Miller is the best he’s been doing this for a long time and this place is a dental school where they teach and educate the dentists to treat complicated cases, I am a dentist myself and this is the only office I trust for all my periodontal and implant cases.

Words cannot express my sincere gratitude for Dr. Henroid. I needed an implant as well as a sinus lift and I was very scared to do the procedure. I then googled high quality periodontist in Pasadena and had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful kind hearted and professional specialist. Let me tell you he is the best at what he does! Believe it or not I didn’t even swell after the surgery! So for now I will need another implant and guess who I’ll be going to again? You guessed it, Dr. Henroid. In addition Ms. Verria who is the patient coordinator was very caring and helpful! By the way, the outcome of his work was superb. So if you are looking for high quality work, look no further he is the one you need. After all you owe it to yourself to receive the best treatment.

Dr. Miller has done a couple of implants for me. He is professional, trustworthy, and a first rate dentist. He also has women who clean your teeth there, and I have had nothing but good, positive experiences with them as well. Very happy to have found this place. Highly recommend!

Where to even begin!
I called this place at 0800 after discovering the night before that my gum had receded SOOO much in such a short amount of time I was worried my tooth would fall out.
I was greeted by a wonderful receptionist by the name «Dana» (… I think). She eased my nerves and told me the MD could see me at 2:30pm. I was relieved. I was able to fill out the new patient forms online which was easily accessible (BONUS).
I arrived to my appointment at 2:15pm and was greeted by «Carol». One of the sweetest receptionist I’ve encountered in the medical field. She stood up and shook my hand… Even showed me where the bathroom was located and the complimentary Keurig machine and water bottles. Mind you I didn’t even have to ask her… Great Service! It made me feel at ease.
I was seen promptly and taken to the back by «Gladys». She asked what brought me in today and I showed her my gnarly gums. She was very professional and made me feel
Comfortable about my mouth situation. After getting a quick history on what brought me in she went to go get Dr. Henriod.
Dr. Henriod was just as personable and kind as the whole staff I had already encountered. I was thinking to myself «This place is a gem! A true gem». After my exam he came to the conclusion I needed a gum graft. He realized he was busy the next few days and offered to perform the graft that day!!! I was SO RELIEVED!!!
I got local for the procedure and was glad I didn’t get general. Dr. Henriod was so gentle and made me feel like he cared. He always asked if I was okay and if I started to feel more uncomfortable he ensured I got more numbing medication. He truly is such an amazing Doctor and I’m SO glad I found him on Unilocal.

I strongly recommend the Miller & Henriod dental office. I had two extractions done by Dr. Miller who also cleaned the infected areas where the teeth were. In one case, Dr. Miller used a laser. In both cases, my gum infections were cleared up. Dr. Miller extracted the teeth in a non-​traumatic way in order to protect the bone. The result is that I am able to have dental implants. If I have implants, I will have the implants done at the Miller & Henriod dental office.
I had an examination by Dr. Henriod, and I’m sure he is an excellent periodontist. I would not hesitate to have implants done by Dr. Henriod, as well as by Dr. Miller.
Dr. Miller listens carefully to the patient’s concerns and clearly explains the patient’s condition of the teeth and gums, the treatment option (s) and the recommended procedure. Dr. Miller reviews the X-​rays with the patient so that the patient understands the issues.
I am very pleased with the entire staff — the dental hygienists and dental assistants do excellent work (cleanings, X-​rays, etc.) and are pleasant and knowledgeable. My insurance coverages were checked and I received an itemization of the procedures covered by insurance.

UNBELIEVABLE. I had no idea that dental care could be this great. The staff is friendly and competent. THEY called ME to schedule an appointment. They saw me on time, and were super helpful and sweet. Dr. Henriod arrived at a potential diagnosis for a problem that has been plaguing me for years. Also, the facility is clean and spacious, and they have a huge parking lot! Awesome medical care and great experience all around.

Dr. Miller knows what he is doing. His staff is awesome and they make you feel welcome and that they are glad to help you. I, especially, have a fear of going to the dentist and Dr. Miller calmed my nerves. I don’t even mind driving the hour and a half to see him. It is worth it every time. I’ve had multiple grafts performed before and Dr. Miller and their billing team were great and were always spot on. A graft performed by Dr. Miller didn’t take, and Dr. Miller re-​did the graft free of charge. I was blown away by the level of customer service. However, my latest graft was done under a new insurance plan and they seriously dropped the ball on this one.
I had a few grafts performed and the billing was always spot on under the Delta Dental PPO plan. I still needed a few more grafts to be performed, but I changed my dental insurance effective 01÷01÷15 to the Delta Dental HMO plan. I was worried that their office might not accept my new HMO plan. I informed them I was still under the same insurance provider but had switched over to their HMO plan. I was informed everything was fine and they accepted my new insurance policy but HMO’s require a referral from my general dentist. No big deal so I went to my general dentist and they sent the referral over on 3÷3÷15.
I came in on 3÷5÷15 for my graft to be performed. They showed me cost of $ 140 after insurance is taken into consideration. I paid $ 140 and left.
I received an invoice of $ 960. I called Dana to ask about the $ 960 invoice I received. She explained to me the procedure I had done was not covered my insurance plan. I then asked her if the procedure I had done wasn’t covered by my insurance plan, wouldn’t you be required to let me know beforehand when paying for the procedure? She says we weren’t made aware of your new insurance plan because I didn’t fill out a «form». She was very disruptive and whenever I spoke, she interrupted me and as a result didn’t hear what I had to say.
So if your office wasn’t aware of my new insurance because I didn’t fill out a «form», then why did you ask for a general dentist referral? You asked me for a general dentist referral because it’s required for my new HMO insurance. So you were fully aware of my new insurance plan. If you aware of my new plan then you should me know that my procedure wasn’t covered. And therefore you should have billed me upfront for my procedure. I’m very dissapointed. Terrible way to run a business and I won’t be back.

I’m really disappointed in this place. I had gum recession on one of my big front teeth during my pregnancy and I wanted to get it take care of right away after I had my baby. I did research and based off of the reviews on Unilocal,I decided to go with Dr. Miller. I’ve had 2 gum surgeries here, and my gums look worse then before I even stepped into this office. I now have recession on adjacent teeth (UGH). I’m really disappointed. I understand that it cannot be guaranteed but I feel like things were not explained thoroughly, and what was promised did not happen. For example, after the first surgery I had a consultation to discuss the 2^nd surgery. I was told that they would do a graft (I wish this was done the first time). I went into the 2^nd surgery prepared to be extra sore from the graft, and guess what, for whatever reason they did not do a graft. This is just one example, but I feel like the Dr is forgetful. I have since gotten a second opinion from a different periodontist and they advised that I need a deep cleaning done because my gums are very red and not healthy enough to proceed with a 3^rd surgery. After this new consultation I cancelled my 3^rd surgery with Dr. Miller. I just feel like I cannot trust them. Its obvious my gums are not healthy, but why would he even be okay with going moving forward with a 3^rd and even 4^th surgery like he had advised. I really want to give this place 0 stars, but the 1 star is only because the staff and doctors are friendly and have good bedside manners. Now I have a big problem on my hands and I need to find someone that can fix the problems that this office gave me.

I searched on the Unilocal to find the right periodontic. Here I found with most positive comments to this location. I setup my appointment online as well through the phone call. Dr. Miller and their staff were very profession. They gave me quick tour with with most up today technology and they gave me free gift on my first visit as well.
Dr. Miller reviewed the charts that brought and took 360° views of my teeth and jaw. He spent much time to explain the problem and recommend solution in plain English.
I have no doubt and reschedule to have my teeth done with LANAP. LANAP is a new technology to treat gum disease vs trandisional periodontal surgery. The procedure took 2 hours long. They put me to sleep and I didn’t feel any pain at all even after get up and home.
The best part is Dr. Miller notice I came alone and suggested I shouldn’t be drive home after procedure done. He had his staff drive me home with my car and another staff will take her back to the office. My house to office is more than 20 mins drive.
I do recommend 100% to everyone at this location. It’s also very affordable plan. Great place and great people… Thank you very much Dr. Miller…

Dr. Miller and his staff were professional, courteous, and quick. After going to about 4 different periodontists and oral surgeons I was devastated that I would have to undergo a procedure under general anesthesia with the probability of a cadaverous bone graft. I found Dr. Miller on Unilocal on a Wednesday, came in for a consult on Thursday and underwent a painless ½ hour, local anesthetic procedure without a bone graft on a Friday. Not even kidding. I just took one ibuprofen and I’m feeling fine. Dr. Miller explained everything and answered all of my questions. The office staff is one of the best I’ve encountered. I’m used to having to «deal» with office staff who are rude, don’t work with you to get a fast appointment, and keep you waiting.

I had Lanap and gum grafting done by Dr. Henriod a little over a month ago. Upon my first visit I was greeted with many smiling faves. The office is a place of luxury with beautiful rooms and complimentary water and coffee. The surgery went so smooth and Dr. Henriod made sure their was never any pain. All the staff was very attentive to my needs.
I am so happy I was referred to Dr. Henriod and would highly recommend him!

Never in my life (I’m in my mid 50’s) would I have thought I would look forward to going to any kind of oral surgery procedure. From having gum surgery to having a tooth pulled out, no pain and the entire experience pure pleasure.
I feel like I come to visit friends, as the attention to my well-​being and comfort is overwhelming. I love everything about this place, which reminds me of something out of a high-​end medical practice out of a CSI Miami scene. From the beautiful offices and people, the warm greetings of the assistants to the good-​nature and friendly manner of Dr Joel Henriod. I never wait long and fully appreciate the care and concern for my comfort for whatever procedure I’m about to go through.
I’m currently having a tooth implant, which requires several visits and procedures (did I mention «no pain»?), I almost regret the day it’s done and I don’t have to come back. Great place, great people.

I had an appointment today for a routine cleaning with Ramona Miller, who keeps meticulous records on my progress and catches any problems very early on before they become major dental issues.
Dr. Miller always makes time for an exam and to look over my chart with an eagle eye. He is one of the top specialists in his field for difficult dental issues and in my case, a chronic issue that requires a vigilant dental professional.
I have recommended this office several years ago, and can only continue to rave about the wonderful care that I continue to receive as a patient.

I had a gum graft done by Dr. Henriod just a few weeks ago. The consult, surgery, and follow-​up consults have gone extremely well. I feel cared for and valued by the staff in this office. My gum line looks amazing! I highly recommend this practice!

Had to have dreaded tissue transplant; space ship to moon filled, alternative, meet with Dr. Henriod. First: office staff incredibly warm, loving, courteous, bend over backwards to help you. Second but really Chief, Chief good reason. Dr. Henriod is exceedingly well trained, knowledgeable, educates you and works with your budget. Integrity and excellence wraps around this practice. I am on blood thinner, a small dance on normal days, but tissue transplant surgery, a larger, more complicated move, requiring little tuck in visits of extra purport after the surgery. Excellent, fabulous, no pain afterwards, and so it goes. His assistant Annie is superb, compassionate, intelligent, and I left feeling I had spent time in a very nurturing nest. Glad spaceship to moon filled — need to go have right jaw done now. Will do.

When we first moved to L.A., I had a terrible experience with a dentist in Marina del Rey (which I documented on Unilocal because for the first time in my life I became scared to go to the dentist). If only I had read HIS reviews before seeing him! All the more reason to write this one. Fortunately, I found Dr. Chess-​Abelson and she recommended that I see Dr. Henriod /​Dr. Miller to repair some lower gum recession. I was dreading any work like this for obvious reasons.
(brace yourself) Dr. Henriod explained that they would take some tissue from the roof of my mouth and transplant it to my receded gum line. (I am simplifying the language but you get my drift…)
Well, my procedure went wonderfully, my gum line looks great, and my follow-​up visits have gone very well. The care and professionalism that I’ve experienced each time I visit Dr. Henriod and his team has been top-​notch (this includes the office staff).
He also encourages me to email him with any questions (and he replies quickly!) which adds another layer of comfort. Not to mention that he really makes me feel valued as a patient by taking a sincere interest in my well-​being. Highly recommend!

This office is awesome. I met Dr. Miller over 7 years ago and honestly I have not been more happy that I was referred to him.
Going to the dentist is not an easy task, especially when you are afraid of bad news and needles (lol). When I first walked in the office, it was the friendliest enviroment that i’ve ever come across. They greet you will smiles and were so helpful. I wasn’t sure of what to expect with Dr. Miller, 30 years in the business and I wasn’t sure if I would get a doctor who wouldn’t care, and just view me as a number in the chair.
From the minute he walked into the office, there was the best bedside will in this case Dental Chair manner i’ve ever had in my life. His patient care should be bottled and sold to the masses. He took the time to explain everything to me, a soft and caring voice. Not feeling like I was being rushed or just a number in the chair.
I was then referred to Magie, she smiled and explained every step of my care again like Dr. Miller had just done to reassure to make sure I understood everything.
She reviewed my dental coverage and payment options.
If I was able to rate them higher I would, I just don’t believe 5 does them any kind of justice. I would rate this office and the wonderful staff a 10 out of 5 stars. Go visit them and you will see what I’m talking about.

For about three years now or so, I have contemplated on getting an aesthetic crown lengthening. Being a hygienist and familiar with the world of perio, I am fortunate to be surrounded by several dental professional to choose from.
I chose Dr. Joel Henriod because after attending several of his Continuing Education Courses, I felt confident that he would do an excellent job enhancing my smile. He is very knowledgeable along with Dr. Ron Miller. I was very impressive with his clinical skills and chairside manner. His assistants were also very professional. They all work very well as a team.
If you are looking for a periodontist, I would recommend this practice. And in fact, I do send patient their way.

I am a former Pasadena resident turned San Diego resident and there are probably hundreds of Periodontists between these two cities but sometimes a personal referral goes a long way. We trust the doctors who have helped us through our lifetime.
My dentist of 20+ years, Dr. West told me I had receding gums and only two options A) bonding or B) grafting. At that time, I had no idea the extent of these procedures nor did I know if the surgery would help the recession.
Dr. West recommended me to Dr. Miller’s office. She informed me Dr. Henriod, a recent doctor on board would be performing the surgery. Before my consultation, I prepared myself and researched the extent of grafting; the surgery and the post-​op.
Because I lived so far, Dr. Henriod was willing to come in on a Saturday to meet with me. I was really appreciative of that however it was not necessary as I adjusted my schedule for Friday visits.
I have never met a doctor so truly down to earth, knowledgeable, positive, sincere, kind and understanding. On the day of my consult, he greeted me with a smiling face and checked the extent of the severity of the recession and clearly explained to me what the procedure entailed. He described to me new techniques being done to improve graft procedures and my comfort level rose as my worries subsided.
During the surgery, he was conscious of my concerns and reassured me of any worries I may have had. During the post-​op, he welcomed questions and we talk about the appropriate brushing technique.
After 3 grafts performed by Dr. Henriod, he has been add to my list of doctors who I trust to help me through these specialized procedures. I have and would recommend him to all my friends and family. If I can sum up my experience, gum surgery + Dr. Henriod = Satisfaction. A positive experience goes a long way and I would drive the distance knowing I was in good hands.
I never thought my gum recessions were a problem and now that I see my smile, I am reminded of the wonderful work that was performed. Thank you!
