Waited 6 weeks for tumblers to be ordered and arrive. One of the «bonuses» for shopping local was promoted as «you don’t have to worry about shipping.» I was charged for shipping! I could have ordered everything and much more direct from Simon Pierce, paid $ 1 more for shipping, no sales tax, and would have received my items in about 10 days max. Won’t be shopping here again!

Everytime I go here and try to buy something, the ladies who work there seem to help everyone else and leave me standing there debating whether I really want to buy the item and whether is it worth the wait and the disrespect. For the second time in a month, I left the store after a long wait and decided to go elsewhere. There were 3 ladies helping the woman ahead of me and none of the three could acknowledge me or split off to help me.
Never again. If you want to be treated with respect and kindness, do not go here.

Love love love Salutations Home. There is a unique gift for everyone. I can browse and shop for hours there.

I found this shop on Unilocal yesterday when my husband and I were looking for someplace to purchase high quality flat notecards. Despite the iffy Unilocal reviews, we opted to go — and I am super glad we did.
I came in on crutches, and we were immediately kindly greeted by the ladies working, one of whom preemptively moved a few things so I could easily get through to the stationery section. Definitely above and beyond my expectations right away!
We found exactly what we were looking for, and had a nice conversation with both ladies working. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that this store is MAGNIFICENTLY merchandised. Every single detail is attended to, and it is visually interesting and artfully arranged — gorgeous!
I am leaving this Unilocal review to help boost Salutations overall — it is definitely deserving of a much higher overall Unilocal rating than it currently has based on the two reviews available. I will definitely be back.
(Also, I think it bears noting that we were treated exceptionally well… And I am a very friendly but tattooed and pierced punk rocker. I wasn’t on the receiving end of any snobbery just because I am not a «lady who lunches.»)

Salutations Home is a wonderful store.
the manager Scott helped me a great deal by picking out the perfect present for my niece. He has a great touch and a great eye.
The displays are amazing, and if you are looking for a special present… Look no further.

If you are a Pasadena «lady who lunches»… the women who work in the store WILL know your name. If you aren’t one of these women. they’ll still greet you warmly. but… they won’t know your name…
If you need a refined gift for someone who has everything, Salutations IS the place to go. Between luxury bath products, hankies, AMAZING linens, unusual cards, boxes, jewelry, puppy/​pet gifts and a baby area… they really do have a little bit of everything… and it’s all amazing quality.
They also have custom stationery/​cards, etc…
The price tags reflect the clientele, but also the quality. And the (free) gift wrapping is amazing.
Now, again, this is not a store for your cool young friends… and if you’re a cool young person you may get a look or two. But, if you’re in pastel… or your tennis gear… or a cable-​knit sweater and khakis. you’ll fit right in.
