Groupon used took kids $ 251 large pizza 4 drinks skates included/entry. Upon arrival wasn’t sure if it was the place one lonely sign on curb, look up. We received wrist bands and proceeded in but was over taken by musty smelly shoes, yeah the skate booth is located at entry, but I’ve been to others and they didn’t smell. Skating was smooth meaning the floor plus live DJ, and light show. But rink is on smaller side if you skate to fast you might end up out doors. Headed to snack bar to place order typical frozen pizza and fountain drinks, ordered nachos, cheese came out a machine, which made it taste weird $ 3.50. Small game room for kids to play and win small gifts which may end in garage by the end of the night. Rest Room seemed wired toilet paper on chain, but overall kids liked the place.

I had an odd burning desire to get my skate on, so I checked this place out with my bro on a Friday night in hopes of some good times. My new idols are those dudes that dance on roller skates. Not only are they so darn graceful, funky, and full of rhythm, but they make it look so effortless, looking cool as shit in the process. There were even younger kids getting down on the parquet, putting my awkward ass to shame. There were portly 12-year-olds doing the«soulja boy» and crunkin’ on wheels, looking smoother than Nat King Cole at a cool convention. I was in awe and damn jealous of said smoothness. I noticed groups of middle-school aged girls doing trains(not those kinds, gutterbrain) and having a blast as they breezed ’round the rink. The music included the latest hip hop of the day and generic alternative/emo rock – not exactly my cup of tea, but it works well for a roller skating rink. The place is kind of old(fitting, I suppose, adding to the nostalgia factor) and seems to be a neighborhood spot geared towards the younger crowd; I’m talking 20 and below from the looks of it. I was clearly the oldest dude on the skating floor(sniff, tear) and I’m not even that old. The rink itself is a good size and in good condition, but can get a little crowded. They rent out those regular brown skates, jazzy, old-school looking speed skates, and in-lines. If you do use the rentals, be prepared to burn your socks when you get home. Basically good, clean fun.
