We had breakfast here while staying for an event. The food was alright. I had the omelette with beef in it. I gave it 3 stars because I think the workers need to smile more and speak up cause I had a hard time hearing them. I probably wouldn’t eat here again if I stay at the Sheraton again.

My coworker and I came to stay at the Sheraton for for a legal conference. We were pleasantly surprised with the presentation, flavors, quality of food and level of service. Omar was our server and he took great care of us. More than satisfied!

The kids seems to like their kids menu. But Asian chicken salad is probably not their forte… My bad for ordering that. Also, I’m surprised that they didn’t top my water when I only have a quarter a glass left. A little disappointing for such a classy looking restaurant. Didn’t offer any desserts and seems to be too earnest in trying to clear our table when some of us r not done. Makes me feel like they r trying to kick us out.

This is my favorite place to get Duck L’Orange! The food is always above par… but the place is very small and often I feel my elbows are seconds away from getting smashed by people trying to walk through the tables. The workers are also a bit elite and snarky. However, It’s still worth it to me go here, on occasion, to get really delicious food and put up with the staff and tight space.

This past weekend I was here for a menu tasting and was pleasantly surprised at the calibur of service and food quality of this restaurant. Juan was our server and he made every effort to ensure that we knew exactly what we were trying. To be honest, I had expected very little given that the menu tasting was included in our wedding package so I figured they wouldn’t give us that much attention. We tried the salmon, sea bass, tri-tip bearnaise, and the beef medallions. The beef medallions were SO good! Done perfectly medium-rare(just the way I like it) and very tender. We also enjoyed the sea bass very much– flakey, juicy, and not overcooked as fish plates tend to be. We were the only other table eating at the restaurant at 7pm on a Saturday evening. Refills on water/tea were super on point and the rest of the staff could not have been more courteous.

I recently came to eat here while at a dental seminar in Pasadena. They recommended the restaurant in the hotel and we decided to check it out. There are many delicious sounding choices on the menu, such as soups, fresh salads, pastas, and pizzas, etc. They also have lunch specials to choose from. Some of my group, including myself, ordered the soup and half sandwich lunch special. It came with soup(chicken rice was delicious!) and half a turkey and swiss on wheat sandwich, which I swapped out for cheddar on sourdough(without them making a fuss I must say). They also give you a choice of fries, fruit, or cole slaw. The fries were really good! Pasta pomodorro, a cobb salad, and calamari were also ordered and highly enjoyed by people at my table. The services was awesome. Our waiter was quick with refills, brought me anything I needed and was so polite and friendly. They were also very accomodating when they knew we only had limited time on our break to eat, they made sure everything came out in a timely manner and that we had our check by the time we were finishing up. I would definitely eat here next time I’m in the area!

Ok, so I’m taking a Notary class here at the Sheraton Hotel this past Wednesday. The instructor only gave us an hour lunch. I could have left and returned but i really didn’t feel like driving. My partner and I decided just to eat at the hotel restaurant Soleil. The menu was ok, kind of pricey for lunch if you ask me. They offered a small lunch special menu, so I checked it out and decided on the tuna nut sandwich that came with soup and fries. The tuna was excellent, I loved it! The soup of the day was vegetable, it looked and tasted home made. And the fries were fries, they all taste the same. It was good and filling. The service was fair. The restaurant was packed with all the people from the notary class, so the staff tried to accommodate everyone in a timely manner. The service was what I expected, nothing above and beyond, or that would wow me. Verdict: I’d eat there again if I had another conference at the hotel.

The advertisement in the hotel elevator described the food here, and this is a direct quote, as: «whimsical.» The service was good. The space is generic hotel bad. The breakfast buffet that I ate was fair. Let’s put it this way– if I was in Europe, I would have been stoked to see that spread. In Pasadena? You might want to walk a couple blocks down to Colorado Ave or Green– though I didn’t feel like doing that at 615AM, which is when I ate here.

About once every other month or so, I am allotted a full two hours(give or take) for a one-on-one lunch with my boss. This might not sound like that big of a deal, except she lives in San Diego and manages about fifteen other staff members throughout the state. Getting her alone isn’t easy, and even when I do have some private time with her, we’re usually interrupted by her Blackberry about a dozen times. Today was our lunch day, and though we usually cross the street from our office and eat at the Hilton, I suggested we try Restaurant Soleil at the Sheraton instead.(I’ve been checking out hotels for a conference and noticed the restaurant on a walk-through last week.) It was a perfect choice. First of all, the place is pretty quiet. We were the only two diners when we arrived at a little after noon, and only two more parties showed up while we were there. It was perfect for chatting about work without a lot of background noise and distractions. Secondly, the food is REALLY good! I had the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich, which was grilled seasoned chicken with lettuce, tomatoes, julienned cucumber, and tzatziki sauce on a Kaiser roll.(It comes with red onions too, but I asked for it without.) My boss had the Portabello Mushroom Sandwich, which she said she really liked, and we both ordered the fries. So yummy! I snarfed mine down so fast she offered me hers, which was kind of embarassing. We went ahead and ordered the Mango Mousse Cake for dessert, along with coffee(decaf for her, regular for me). Other than the fact that the cake came with a drizzle of raspberry, which she doesn’t like, it was a tasty dessert and the coffee was also quite good. Service was impeccable, and I hear they have Diet Coke(sweet!). Plus they have a bowl of Andes candies waiting for your grubby little mitts as you exit. All in all, a solid place for lunch with the boss — I’m looking forward to coming back, especially the next time she’s footing the bill.
