I had this doctor for at least a 10 years. On the ONE occasion I requested he answer a question, he never called back and subsequently sent a certified letter saying I was no longer his patient. Ironically, I had already requested and received a referral for a different doctor and plan to have my records transferred. It’s very unprofessional behavior by the doctor, the office staff is not very friendly, and they only take cash for co-pays.

I saw Dr. Spears this morning and was very happy with my appointment. He was professional. personable and caring. He remembered my uncle from over 30 years ago when he saw my last name. I didn’t have to wait very long, which I appreciated. I had an 8:00 appointment and I was out @ 8:55 without feeling rushed. The nurse was very nice as well.

Dr. Spears is the best. He’s been my primary care physician since the mid 80’s. He’s been by my side during my health crisis. Even when I didn’t have insurance for a short period of time, Dr. Spears continued to provide me with medical treatment. I’m so fortunate to have a doctor that I trust.

I just went to Dr. Spears for the first time, and he did more for me than any other doctor in the past 2 years. He was genuine and I immediately felt I could trust him. I definitely recommend him if you’re looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Spears is very nice and is my primary doctor and also the primary for my young adult son, and my teenaged daughter. I like the idea of a family practice, where everyone from male or female, old or young can be seen by the same doctor. This is pretty rare nowadays. We never have long waits at his office, and always get the necessary referrals timely. He seems like a very caring person.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Spears for about five years now. As most of you know, having an HMO means slim pickings, long wait lines and overall crappy service. Fear not. I am always able to make appointments, am seen promptly and receive great care. Also, having a male do my «well woman» exams was not creepy at all. Dr. Spears is a very kind, helpful man. He’s not overly friendly, but is knowledgable about all the various questions that I’ve thrown his way. His office is located off of Washington in North East Pasadena, and there’s usually plenty of parking. Also, decent magazine selection.
