This is not a place to go if you wanna be a cool ass cat hangin out in bars, They’ll eat you up alive… yeah, I’m talking to you 1starvoterpeople. See you on Friday, wooohooooooo!

Nice pool tables in the back, staff is pleasent enough, but beers are $ 7.50 and its a dive bar. Lets be real… by the way they have 6 or 7 beers on tap not that exquisite.

Don’t go here if youre black. Don’t go here if you don’t look incredibly white and straight. Just don’t. Staff will use your clothing and your looks to refuse you service then follow you into the street to teach you a lesson. I await the future of east Pasadena.

Nothing special about this place but give it a try if you are in the area. They have 2 pool tables if that is what you are into. Overall bar did not meet my requirements. Beer is overpriced, staff wasn’t the greatest, and there doesn’t seem to be any real soul to the establisent. If you want to see a real«dive bar» I’m afraid you will probably have to leave Southern California to find one. Just my two cents though. «The Station» in Alhambra is a bar I would reccomend over The Colorado.

I’ve never in my life been as disrespected as a bar patron as I just experienced at this absolute dirt hole that I just came out of. I came here because I am down the street at a motel on business. I called and asked if they showed the Dodger games and was delighted when I learned that it did. The first night, last night, that I had a beer here the bartender was nice and friendly. I was excited to come back tonight to watch the game. The same bartender wasn’t there, instead the bartender was so old he was literally farting dust. He ignored me the entire night and tended to his locals. When I closed out I tipped generously as I usually do and was surprised to see him grab the credit card slip before I had left, as he obviously assumed as I am young that I would stiff him. Now as I said I came here to watch the Dodgers and they came up from behind to win. There was a bad call at the top of the ninth with 2 outs, and 1 – 2 with our best closer on the mound. I exclaimed«Bullshit!» to the call and was immediately screamed at by the old as time itself bartender who screamed so loud at me not to curse that I wanted to take my tip back and storm out of the place. You do not feel welcome here, the locals are cold and pushy and the drinks are incredibly over priced. $ 7.50 for a 13oz draft of 805 is gouging to say the least. I paid $ 10 for a 12oz bottle of delirium tremens. It would have been completely worth it had grandfather time not been absolutely rude and screamed at me. Says a lot to the character of a place if the owner has to work the bar and be the absolute worst bartender in the world. This isn’t 1977 — but this bar has no idea. I would recommend going to the liquor store on the corner and having a brew in your room.

I think this is one of those places where looks can be deceiving. From the sort of rundown front you would assume that this will be some dark and dingy dive. Once you open the door though you are in for quite a surprise. The interior is dark, but very far from dingy. It is a dive bar with a lot of class. There are big comfy booths to sit in, clean and well polished tables, and nice stools at the bar if that is what you fancy. They also have an area for live music and really nice pool tables. I know it surprised me when I walked in the first time. They have a full bar too and plenty of beers on tap. I wouldn’t say the beer selection is outstanding, but it is decent enough for a craft beer lover. The prices of the drink aren’t super cheap, but they aren’t downtown LA either. Just don’t go in expecting grungy dive bar prices. I wish I had come here sooner so I could have enjoyed this place longer. Sadly I only recently discovered just before I am set to move. 32⁄100

I really enjoy coming here, Nelson and his brother are very sweet and if there is no crowd to people watch they always entertain me with pleasant conversation and great story telling. Tony is just someone you feel you’ve known your whole life. Last time I wondered in during the day a select few were lined up drinking and watching the movie«Space Balls» along with Tonys hilarious commentary. Now I can’t pass by without wondering what am I missing in there.

Had a fun time until the owner came in. Insulted me and then when I tried to defend myself(sorry, I’m not that good at pool, but we all gotta practice somehow) the bartender told me to step down because this was a «family establishment». Insulting and condescending.

I have now been here twice… Almost exactly one year apart. It has not changed, but I think that is part of its charm. It seems to be a dive bar to me. With some TVs to watch the game, a juke box, and a small stage in the front for live music. They have a full bar and they seem to have a good selection of beer. If I am in the area I would come back again.

Love this place the atmosphere the music the super cool people! It’s awesome but damn it’s on the pricy side! Don’t be fooled by the single $ we payed $ 34 for 2 bottled beers and 2 long islands which is totally cool except I came here thinking it would be affordable :/besides that I would totally come here again!

This has got to be the worst dive bar in the state of California and let alone the SGV. The bartender who iam now coming to realize is probably the owner as well has the customer service of a 14 year old who has no definition of the word respect. When i asked for a lime and salt with my beer(because im mexican duh) the bartender tony said«this is a bar not a restaurant» so for me that was already strike 1 as he refused to want to provide me with any .I guess he maybe that cheap. Now I’ll be honest and say that im not a huge germaphobe but when Tony the bartender just grabbed a lime with his bare hands and tossed it in my drink now that was strike 2. I know a little something about being sanitary and the staff here probably has no sense of what that word means. So i asked for another drink because i wasn’t about to drink the one he poured and tossed the lime into and instead he just gave me back my money and he got his little bouncer to kick me out. I highly do not recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money at another place that are friendly to customers.

Five stars for the bartender! Mr. Tony is the real deal, not here to just pour drinks he really takes care of the atmosphere, put the right music, start a conversation and takes care of his costumers! The place itself is and its clean I will try it again

It’s inexpensive, the crowd is very interesting. A little depressing. Dark. I would rather go to a happy bar with a happy crowd. The people here were on the verge of slitting their wrists, and the jukebox seems to have just a selection of emo, drown your sorrows type stuff. *sigh* Drinks are cheap.

As soon as I walked in, I knew that I had walked into the right place. I went with some friends that had been here before and recommended it. So, how can I say«no» to an awesome dive bar with an amazing jukebox selection? Dive bars are my favorite! Especially ones where you can talk without yelling. Maybe it was quiet because it was a weeknight, but regardless, there was a fair amount of people. Not too empty, and not at all crowded. AND — it’s so close to my house! So just going for a couple hours, talking with friends and getting one drink is perfect for a weeknight. I’m strange — I like to stay home on the weekends, meaning, I literally enjoy staying in my house and having people come over. I actually would prefer to go out on a weeknight. I’m hardcore like that. HAHAHA — just kidding. I just prefer less crowds and less drunk people that may get super annoying… LOL I know why this bar was recommended now. You can play pool, the jukebox has an AMAZING selection — zero exaggeration. You can even get various brands and ages of single malt scotch here! HELLO!!! HOWAWESOMEISTHAT!!! I witnessed with my own two eyeballs and I’m very short, «vertically challenged, if you will»… I’m 5 ‘1″ — with certain shoes, an inch taller, but whenever I say that I’m 5’1″ and ½″ — I called out on it — EVERYTIME! Really!!! But I really AM that tall w/shoes on! So from my vertically challenged view, the«good stuff» I saw was multiple ages of Macallen, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie. But since it was late and I wasn’t planning on staying long enough to enjoy Scotch properly — plus I drove, I ended up getting a Vodka Tonic. This is an awesome and fun place for a group to hang out too, there was six of us… I would go to a dive bar over an overpriced«trendy» place in a heartbeat. I’m not trying to sound arrogant, but I haven’t and probably will not go to any«trendy» clubs/bars/events unless I’m on the guest list and even then, I’m still«meh». After 15 years, I don’t find«cool» clubs fun anymore. I feel that all the people trying to get in are just cookie cutter-ed from this season’s fashion(NOT last season’s since that’s just tacky for an upscale expensive exclusive club). From what I’ve noticed, in these trendy places, most people are in early to mid 30s or their late 20s(if they’re are already successful — I bought my first house at 26) and and just trying too hard… I don’t know what they’re trying for, but being noticeably desperate is not attractive. But that’s just from my perspective as a native Angelino and when I was in my early 20s, I had people asking for my autograph and it freaked me out(I was a party promoter — «raves»), since I should not be an example to anyone, I was just a kid myself. I was 21 at the time. So Dive bars are the only places that I feel that I can be myself with my friends and be the REAL me… I very much like The Colorado. It’s got better drinks than any«trendy» place I’ve been to, and they probably don’t charge $ 30 for a glass of Macallan. SWEET! Coming back whenever my friends say their going!

There are fun dive bars, and then there are grungy ones that nobody goes to. This is one of the latter. The crowd was a bit older, and everybody was very mellowed out, but in a very boring way. Drinks were fairly expensive for the venue — $ 22 for some rye and a Moscow Mule, the latter of which was served in a glass tumbler instead of a copper mug. If you’ve just absolutely run out of places to go or don’t feel like getting out of your pajamas, go here. Otherwise, I’d go elsewhere.

Owners are great, however, the bartender/security Toni tends to over involve himself in other people’s personal lives. Facebooking, romantic affairs, and other personal issues beyond the scope of his job. If I were you I would not bring my attractive friends as his jealousy may affect his ability to function properly.

This really is as good as a dive bar gets. After experiencing what real dive bars are like, :cough: in the SFV, I was pleasantly surprised when my friends and I went in. Not only did the place NOT smell like cigarettes, you can actually have conversations here because the music isn’t too loud. The old bartender dude is awesome. He even educated me and my friends about how much some bottles of whiskey costed and gave us suggestions for different price ranges on top of pouring stiff drinks. Overall a great place if you aren’t in the mood for the crowded bars of around old town.

Thank you for still carding me… bless your soul. I would go to a dive bar over a crowded night club, its just better. You dont have to go overboard on your outfit, you dont have to elbow people to get a drink, you can have a conversation without yelling and the juke box brings back some good memories. This place is the perfect dive bar. No dumb ass fights like you would have in Old Town Pasadena. There is parking in the back and street parking in the front. Drinks are not expensive and they are not stingy on the hard stuff. There are two pool tables, dart board and juke box. Lots of seating so no need to wait people out. Bartenders are fast and security is cool. Its a nice place to drink. Dennys is across the street if you get hungry or need to chill before your ride home.

friendly atmosphere, dive af, this place has an 80s feel to it and the jukebox at the door really helps. Come here on the weekdays if you dont want to try to fight the crowd of people trying to get drunk. The Voodoo on tap was out last time my friends and I went and he gave us the last drink on the house, what a great guy. My friends who have frequented this place more than me suggests this is their go to bar. Just hand the bartender your card and they will open up a tab for you and charge all your drinks onto your card. Careful though, this could go south really fast if you are in the mood ;). I was kinda let down since this place does not offer any snack options but for what it’s worth, if you’re drunk enough, drag your ass across the street to denny’s for some drunken steak is always a good option at 2am.

The last time I came here I ordered a pitcher of beer and two shots. When my bill came I quickly became suspicious when I saw the total: $ 72 dollars. Naturally I inquired about the over charge and the bartender(Nelson) and was told to «get the fuck out». He ripped my bill up and kicked me out. Maybe they’ve changed a bit but if you used to come here back in the day you know that they used to yell profanities at their customers. At first you think it’s kinda funny right up until they decide to overcharge you and should you dare even ask about the charge they’ll show you the door. Colorado you’ve got a nice face lift and finally moved the cigarette smoking to the outside where it belongs. The positive changes earned you a couple of stars but any establishment that treats their customers the way you treated me will never receive a positive rating from me. Dear Unilocal HQ: this is my first hand experience. Thanks again for not deleting real reviews by real people.

This is an awesome dive bar and it’s always a good time. I used to live in walking distance from this place and loved it. They have pool, darts and cheap drinks. You can walk in any day of the week for a good time. There are no windows inside so when you’re there you have no recollection of time. Which could either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your situation lol. It is however an interesting crowd with a lot of regulars it seems. If you’re in Pasadena looking for a dive bar, look no further! Oh and I love the old school jukebox, you can take over the bar with your tune selection. :)
