Dropped off two watches to have battery changed out. One cost $ 15 and the other $ 45 because he said it was an expensive battery(equinox I think). I came home and read all the reviews and was shocked that I was charged more than others for a battery change. But the service was quick(5 min). But for the expensive battery I had to leave my watch there because he has to order the battery. I gave five stars because it was really fast and convenient even though I paid more.

I have the expensive habit of simply buying a new watch every time the battery dies. And so this has left me with 5 excellent, yet non-functioning watches. I decided today was the day to gather up my watches and take them in to the awesomely located Time Center. Plus, a plastic, neon green Nike sportswatch really shouldn’t be worn with everything. It took the watchman all of 10 minutes to replace the batteries-each costing $ 10-$ 12. Excellent quick service, convenient Old Town location.

This place single handedly saved me over $ 9,000. Here’s how: So, this place is at the ground level of the Old Town Pasadena parking garage my company so graciously pays for me to park in for the privilege of working here each day. I mostly stop in on the way to lunch with a watch or two whose battery has burned out. I drop them off, go have lunch, and pick ‘em up on the way back. The cost is usually under $ 10, with the exception of my Timex Ironman watch battery, which cost me around $ 12 to replace. Now I could go across town to Sears in Hastings Ranch, way over in East of ‘Dena, but not on a lunch break. I think it may be a bit cheaper, but it’s not nearly as convenient. Plus I like these little one of a kind places. So, if I pay a little more, then how is it that they saved me nine grand? Well, in addition to a bunch of watches and clocks available for purchase(and I have NEVER seen anyone actually buy anything here), they have a cute little display of pretty rings and such. I’d cut out an ad for a Downtown LA jeweler depicting this ridiculously expensive diamond ring that I’d be too afraid to wear in public, but was nonetheless a thing of beauty. But it was like $ 9,700 or something like that, meaning the closest I was going to get to it was to carry around that ad until it yellowed and aged in my pocket. Then I just happened to be looking at the baubles and rings in the cute little display one day at Time Center — ANDTHEREITWAS! My ring, in all it’s splendor — same shape and cut, slightly thinner band, but a thing of beauty in a $ 20 knock off! I figure with the money I saved, I can put a down payment on a car or do some repairs to my house! Seriously though, as our company will be relocating to Glendale in a week or so, I will miss the convenient, courteous service offered by Time Center of Old Town Pasadena!
