Excellent service and delicious sandwiches. I met the owner during my visit and she was very nice and accommodating. I felt like I was eating at someone’s house! During my visit I ordered the Tuna sandwich which was delicious and rich.

The restaurant is cute and accessible. The service was great and quick. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich that wasn’t very buffalo-​y but the pesto on it was incredible! Definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu.

For a breakfast or lunch that’s simple, delicious, quick, and easy, there’s Union 109.
No frills or fanciness here… just plain good eats from quiches to sandwiches to salads. Reasonably priced and fresh, too.
There’s also wifi, coffee drinks, and a smattering of seating options.

Just had lunch here. It’s under new ownership. The food was delicious! I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Really tasty and a large portion. The new owner was there, and she is charming and welcoming — made for a great atmosphere!

I love Unilocal for helping me find places like this. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was great. Large portion size, too. While I wasn’t in the mood for coffee, I also noticed they sell Jones coffee (local Pasadena coffee roaster). And they have free wifi if you don’t mind asking for the password.

With only a few reviews online I decided to still give it a shot because all I wanted was the Italian sandwich I saw in the reviews. Unfortunately that wasn’t on the menu, but Cold Cuts (basically an Italian) was!
I got it on toasted ciabatta bread because I was feeling a bit indulgent. Pretty good bread — definitely not the best ciabatta. The deli meat and provolone cheese was great! All boars head products. Overall a good sandwich.
The place was empty, doesn’t seem as if they get enough business seeing as I was the only person in and out at 2pm. If you want a good deli sandwich quickly, here’s your place.

Wow– I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place walking home. It’s a high quality sandwich shop using boars head products, and a variety of prepared salads and freshly brewed coffee. My favorite is the cold cut, it won’t disappoint! Plus the prices are great!!!

Fantastic place. I’ve been coming here probably once a week for their sandwiches, which are all awesome. Do yourself a favor and pass on Subway and Jimmy John’s. Service is great, and there’s rarely a line. Small breakfast menu looks fantastic too, so that’s next on my list.

An amazing spot at the heart of Pasadena. When you don’t know where to go for breakfast or lunch with great music and excellent customer service then you should check Union 109 out. They have freshly squeezed juices every morning, great coffee and a tasty lunch menu. I had their quinoa tabbouleh which is delicious, the tomato soup is great and so are all the sandwiches. I always come back for more (thumbs up for this place)

This place is incredibly good. Had the corn beef sandwich with coleslaw and the breakfast burrito and it was amazing. They even put chia seeds in their water to make us all healthy. Pretty incredible to have a place that serves excellent food for lunch in Old Town at reasonable prices! A keeper.

Great service and great people! I had the Asian chicken salad and it was delicious. I was even treated with a candy cane for the holidays. Cool vibes, chill music and overall great ambience. Would definitely come back here again.

I’ve been working in Old town Pasadena for awhile now and this is the first place that has awesome sandwiches, good prices, and great service!!! I will be coming back here again! Try their pastrami sandwich it’s really good and their juices are all made fresh… Seems like the new owners know what they’re doing. Keep it up!
