I work in this office building and love the convenience of the Urban Café! The owners are so nice and friendly, and the food is so convenient and fresh. I usually get the sushi, but sometimes will switch it up with the Turkey Pesto sandwich. We’ve also ordered their breakfast sandwiches, which are made fresh and are great. It is also super quick for me to run downstairs for a snack or soda for an afternoon pick me up.

I work upstairs in the Gateway Metro building. When me or my team forgets to bring lunch, we often go downstairs to Urban Café to grab something. They have a fantastic selection of snacks and drinks! There’s sodas, juices, sparkling water, coffee, tea, smoothies, and soup. For snacks, there’s a bunch of healthy chips as well as unhealthy stuff like hot cheetos and kettle chips. They have gummies, candy, and trail mix. But, best of all, they have breakfast burritos! Their veggie breakfast burrito is homemade and is soooo bomb. I need the recipe. It has hashbrowns, bell peppers, onions, and scrambled egg. It’s steaming hot and when you add tapatio, it’s delicious. I’ve also tried their croissant/sausage/cheese/egg breakfast sandwich too. That’s pretty delicious and so filling. They crack the egg right then and there. I’ve also had their sushi – both the spicy tuna and the california roll. I wasn’t a huge fan of the spicy tuna but I really like their california roll. It’s fresh and tasty! Not to mention, it’s a great price for almost 10 pieces of sushi. I’m always so full. The staff is really nice – it’s owned by a husband/wife duo who make everything by hand. Anyway, please give this place a visit if you work in the building! They’re so nice and the food is fresh.

This place is really hidden inside the Gateway Tower office building by the Sierra Madre Villa Metro station. The café is all the way in the very back, part café, part convenience store. The food is really good — homemade, and there are different lunch specials everyday from all types of cuisine(japanese, mexican, italian, american, korean). The owner is a sweet Korean lady. I haven’t tried the breakfast yet, but next time I will. today’s special was a choice of California roll or Spicy Tuna roll. My friend and I ordered one of each and they were both delicious. very filling, with a side of miso soup — definitely hit the spot. by the last few pieces we were both full and tummies were very content.
