I have been buying my wine from Bryan for 15 years and he never disappoints . He always can find the rarest fine wines and really knows his trade well. I have sent him countless referrals over the years and I look forward in continuing to do business with him into the future.

This story goes back quite a few years. Back in May 2007, I placed an online order for two bottles of 2003 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Le Rocche. The total came to $ 281.43. Then about six months later, I placed another online order for two bottles of 2003 Conterno Fantino Barolo Sori Ginestra. That order came to $ 128.68. Both orders were for pre-arrival wines(meaning they haven’t arrived at the store yet). Then in March 2008, I get an email from Bryan, the owner, that the wines had come in, and were ready for pick-up. I responded that I would not be able to pick up and would he please ship my wines instead. My wines were neither shipped, nor did I get a response from him. But as is often the case, life happens and one gets busy. In other words, I forgot about the wine. Yes, $ 410.11 is a lot of money for just four bottles of wine, but I was on a buying spree at the time and had simply lost track of all of my purchases. Forgive me, but I’m not running a business where I need to keep track of these things. But Vins Rare is(or should have been). Fast forward to November 2011. I get an email from Bryan that he needed my credit card number to ship my wine. So I give it to him. When the shipment finally arrives in April 2012, all of my other orders are in the box except the two orders from 2007. So I send Bryan an email asking about the wine. Again, no response. Now it’s December 2014. I’m going through my wine inventory and realize that I never received my wine. So I send Bryan an email, asking about those two orders from 2007. He writes with this response: «This is 7 years old! At $ 10/cs per month storage you owe more in storage than the wines are worth.» So wait, I asked to have my wine shipped when they arrived, and now he wants me to pay for seven years of storage? That’s $ 840!!! I objected, of course, and said I did not know about the storage policy, which is true. But I also said that I would gladly pay a nominal fee. This is his reply: «As an active customer it would be easy to waive the storage fee but since you have not purchased a single bottle of wine from us since 2010 I can’t really see doing that.» Um, the reason I stopped buying wine from you in the first place is because you failed to deliver my wine. So this is where we stand. I paid $ 410.11 for wine that I will never see. But until then, to all of you wine lovers out there, please learn from my experience, and BEWARYOFDOINGBUSINESSWITHTHISUNSCRUPULOUSCOMPANY! Update: Bryan agreed to issue me a refund for the wine, minus two years of storage. But here is his last statement to me: «There is nobody to blame but yourself for this situation.» Really? The nerve of this guy! I have NEVER in my life been treated this poorly by a business!
