The waffles were DELICIOUS and of nice consistency — soft and thick, resembling mochi waffles. They’re topped off with fosselmans ice cream if you order the combo! It’s pricey but the waffles are delicious! A good indulgence every once in a while. I would recommend the speculators special with a scoop of English toffee

My boyfriend and I shared the banana cream waffle and added the vanilla bean ice cream. It. Was. Amazing. I’ve never had a waffle that was chewy(in a good way) and almost caramelized. The bananas tasted naturally sweet and the ice cream was extremely & perfectly vanilla bean-y. It was the absolute perfect combo. I’m crying at the thought of moving to DTLA for school(I’m not a city girl) but knowing that this place is not that far from my new place makes it better can’t wait to come back and get my OWN waffle instead of sharing with my bf :)

Friendly staff and delicious food. My go workers and I stumbled across this place on our way back from lunch and decided to try it out. We shared 1 waffle(and 3 scoops of ice cream). The waffle was delicious, thick yet fluffy. It’s all homemade so be prepared to wait a few minutes as it cooks and cools down. The person working there was very nice! He ended up finding out we worked locally and said there is a local discount. He felt so bad that he threw in an extra 3rd scoop of ice cream. It worked out nicely because there were 3 of us! We ended up getting their waffle with caramel and chocolate sauce. Ice cream flavors were coffee, chocolate covered strawberries and toffee crunch. That toffee ice cream is amazing! Always feels good to eat/shop local and this is one of those places worth checking out. Local or not!

I had the Bananas and Cream Waffles and I’ve got to say that I don’t think I’ve had waffles as good as these before. The waffle itself was the right balance of chewy and crunchy. The cream was on the right sweetness level, and the bananas were really fresh. They made the waffles very quickly, and we’re very attentive. Great waffle place! Try it!

Came here for dessert with my GF after eating in Old Town Pasadena. We just walked up the street so we didn’t have to look for parking in the area. Before we even opened the door, we smelled the amazing aroma of their waffles. There is limited seating inside and it was all packed. Luckily, we scored 2 seats at the counter so we saw how the magic happened. We originally ordered the Speculoos Special as it was recommended by them. I love cookie butter so I was really excited to try this out. However, they ended up making the Banana Cream Waffle for us and we didn’t realize it until we took a few bites. The couple next to us got the Speculoos Special and they didn’t realize it either until after a few bites. Due to the mix up, they let us had the mistaken order for free and made us a new one as well :). The waffles were delicious. Crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The ice cream on top gave it a nice contrast of texture and temperature. I recommend this place but I also recommend sharing 1 order between 2 people. It is definitely very heavy and on the sweet side but its really good.

Tiny little store in Pasadena that makes some ass-kickin’ waffles! Their waffles are done in the style of Eastern Belgium.(What we usually call Belgium waffles are not the same as these.) It’s got a crispy caramelized edge with a bit of fluffiness on the inside. It’s almost my perfect waffle; I like mine just a little thicker/fluffier on the inside with the same crust. They have a few pre-designed waffle combos that sound delicious. I ended up getting the Speculoos waffle and it was great. A side of coffee flavored ice cream was like having dessert to my dessert. I’m kind of surprised how small this place is! Probably seats no more than 10 – 15 people max and they only have one waffle grill as far as I can tell. Looks like they could make 3 – 4 waffles at a time though which seems sufficient enough for a place this size. Would love to see more unique toppings and flavor combinations, but really you’re here for the waffle. Sometimes less is more!

YUM-MMY!!! Who doesn’t like freshly made waffles? I do! I love waffles. Oh the smell of warm waffles coming off the waffle maker is just amazing as you walk in. I just can’t believe I waited so long to try it out. I’ve had it bookmarked for months. You can build your own or select a waffle that’s already been designed by them. We went this past Sunday on Mother’s Day. I wanted to order the fresh fruit waffle but they told me that they were out of strawberries, so I was disappointed and went with the Banana cream waffle. The waffle had fresh bananas and a mountain of whipped cream with chocolate syrup drizzled all over. A little too much chocolate syrup for me, I’ll ask for easy syrup next time. My husband got the ice cream waffle special. He asked for vanilla ice cream and they were out. In fact they only had cookies n cream and Taro, so cookies n cream it was! The waffle by itself would’ve been good, its crispy on the outside and still fluffy inside. Which was perfect because the waffle didn’t get soggy, crispy to the last bite! Maybe next time they’ll have everything on their menu and I can try the Fresh Fruit Waffle and my husband can have his vanilla ice cream with his waffle! Menu is simple. Staff is very friendly. Seating is limited. Street parking only, so bring coin for the meter. Enjoy fellow Unilocalers!!!

We had some liege waffles in Vancouver and ever since, we’ve been in love. Since we were out on this side of world anyways, we thought to check out this place. Parking sucks. We found a meter but it’s so old town that it only takes quarters! So we walked around for a place to let us exchange quarters. Anyway, we got here and it was not crowded at all. We got the original with vanilla and taro ice cream and then we got one to take home. The guy that made our waffle is super sweet! We’re definitely coming back.

My new Pasadena Dessert Obsession! Stumbled upon this gem after some fellow Unilocalers had bookmarked this place. This place has literally the best dessert waffles I have ever tasted. Personally, I recommend the waffle with the works(ice cream, caramel, and chocolate). They also have other amazing options you can get on your waffles.(i.e. Nutella, bananas, and strawberries etc.). There is limited seating inside. There are some bar stools, and ~4 tables which is not the most accommodating for groups. However, the staff is so helpful and friendly and were willing to help us fit a group of 12 in.

Love the ice cream, love the waffle, love the staff! One star down for the price, but then again it IS Pasadena, rent probably ain’t cheap /: First of all, the waffles are made right in front of your eyes. Delivered fresh and warm with your choice and option of Fosselman’s ice cream. Two words: Yum Mers. If you have an extra sweet tooth, you can also add on syrup drizzles, whipped cream, or Nutella. Healthier fruit options(banana) are also available. There’s not an extensive menu since their focus is on the waffle. But that’s probably for the best. Most ppl, like myself, don’t deal well with extensive options, am I right? The staffs there are so so genuinely nice. I believe the owner of the store is always there, at least the few times I’ve been there. And she’s super humble and accommodating. One of the workers even gave me a scoop of ice cream when he overheard my birthday was coming up! Overall, definitely something to try if you’re in the area. It’s a fairly small place but I never had to wait more than 5 mins to grab a seat. Credit cards are also accepted with no min. Yayyy~

Finally had the chance to give this place a try last night! I’ve heard a lot about their food truck and was glad they opened up a brick and mortar. I’ve always been such a huge fan of Belgium waffles and the last time I’ve had something like this was in New York at Waffles n Dinges. Anyway, this location is in Old Pasadena, but it’s a few blocks away from the busy street so if you park at the 90min free structure, it’ll still be a walk. There were some metered parking and pay here parking, however the time I went it was after 8 so it was free. It wasn’t busy at all inside, but we noticed a few groups stroll in a little after us. I think the owner of the shop was there and he greeted us with a kind welcome. He also asked us how we heard about them and if we have been here before. He gave us a quick run down about how the ordering goes. There are quite a few preset waffles, but you can make adjustments to it. We ordered one ice cream waffle special with pistachio ice cream($ 8), banana cream waffle with taro ice cream($ 6.50+$ 2.75), and the speculoos waffle($ 6)! Also, the ice creams are from Fossilman and it’s an additional $ 2.75 to add onto any waffle. The waffle was also made fresh and we were also able to see it being madee. The employee/owner? also take his time making each of our waffles and presented it nicely. My speculoos waffle was my favorite, I do wish I added ice cream to mine, but it was great. The waffle was super crunchy from the outside and fluffy in the inside. The speculoos spread was fantastic along with the powdered sugar and sliced banana. The ice cream waffle special was a bit too sweet for my liking, however if you have a sweet tooth, it’d be perfect because of the chocolate and caramel syrup! The banana cream was super yummy too and sweet! Overall, it’s such a fantastic spot to grab dessert after walking/dining around Old Town Pasadena. Great & Friendly service. I’d definitely be back. Also, the prices are pretty fair!

I’m no Belgian waffle expert but I enjoyed what I had here so I can’t complain. I’m surprised there’s a shop that just have Belgian waffles but I hope they stay in business for a while because the food is delicious. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was completely empty. The menu is very simple and we ordered a nutella classic to share for two people. It was just enough to be an afternoon snack without feeling too guilty. The waffle is exactly what I imagined it would be. A little crunchy on the outside and gooey/chewy on the inside. The combination of nutella, almond slices and fresh whipped cream is perfect. I wish we could have some fresh fruits too but the only ones I saw on the menu came with ice cream and we weren’t interested in having any ice cream. If you do want ice cream, know that their ice cream is from fosselman’s. The service was excellent and they offered non-caffeinated hot tea which is great for me since I’m avoiding caffeine. My husband LOVES waffles so now that he knows about this place I’m sure we’ll be back :)

Located on Green St/Raymond St down in Pasadena; this dessert shop is quite hidden in a smaller street with little car traffic and even less foot traffic unless you happen to either be specifically looking for it or looking at the shops around it(which consists of Subway, Juice Served Here, and a couple of other places). Parking for this shop is either street parking(limited to either side), or you can try the parking structure around the corner of this place. Additionally, pay attention to certain Sundays if you choose to visit that it does not coincide with Farmer’s Market that are held there occasionally several times a year(frequently month to month). When you walk down the street looking for it, the first thing you’ll notice is the little wooden sign hanging over the doorway beckoning you to walk in through the large door that has a nice bell that jingles when you open the door. After quickly scanning the menu, I decided to go with the powdered sugar waffles with a scoop of Fosselman’s ice cream. They collaborate with Fosselman’s to have their ice cream be served on site with specially chosen flavors for the week written on a cute little chalkboard near the registers. Ask them for samples of each flavor and they will happily oblige. The only sad part is that sometimes they run out of flavors due to no shipments coming in from Fosselman’s, so make sure you try their other available flavors. After paying and seating down in the indoor seating area, I noticed that the shop is pretty quiet, clean and generally a pretty calm and nice space to hang out with friends and just chat over ice cream. When I received my waffles de liege, I could smell the fresh waffle smell wafting through the air and my ice cream slowly melting onto my waffle due to their recent exit off the waffle maker sitting on the back table area behind the counter. The waffle was perfectly done: crispy, not too hard in the center, easily chewable and with the scoop of ice cream — just extra yummy and perfect. Definitely do give this place a try if you’re ever in the area!

This place had really high reviews and after Amara failed to be open late on Sunday after Valentine’s day my boyfriend and our friends went here in search of dessert. Even though this place is super cute I think it’s a tad overhyped. There was nothing outstanding about this store that stood out from the other waffles I’ve had other than that they are made of dough. We ordered one original waffle with powdered sugar which tasted good but not amazing and a banana and cream waffle which was also good but not amazing as well. None of us completely finished the waffle as it was just a bit too sweet. The service was great and prices were decent for this area of town but there’s no bathroom(you can hit up Subway next door). Overall I might be back because although it’s not my favorite place for dessert, it’s a nice spot to meet up with a friend or grab a cup of tea after dinner.

Hello my Unilocalies, I don’t usually give 5 stars but this place has to have the best waffle I’ve ever tried. :) Thanks to the big bro for introducing this place to me. We were just in Pasadena eating dinner with the family and i got the craving for some waffles for dessert. Yes it would be me who wants that. Parking is quiet a hassle, we were extremely lucky to have found a spot right in front, it is a meter parking so you do have to pay for it. This place is very small and cute, I love how you walk in it smells like sugar land. I decided to get the original waffles with one scoop of taro ice cream. YES… they have taro ice cream. Their waffle is different then most places, it has a sugar glaze on top which adds the sweetness to the waffle. It did took about 20 minutes for our order because there was a lot of people but I’ve got to say it was definitely worth the wait. The waffle was perfectly cooked, it wasn’t too sweet, it has the perfect texture, a little crunchy on the side but soft in the middle. I definitely suggest getting the original one first so you can really get an idea of how tasty their waffle is. They also have many different toppings to choose from, banana, whip cream and more. Their service was over the top, I’ll definitely be coming back for some delicious waffles very very soon. Overall, 5 stars for service, 5 stars for food/drinks, 5 stars for environment and decoration and 5 stars for cleanliness. So happy to have found this place, will be back very soon. :)

I am so happy that this place is now a store as well! They are just celebrating their first anniversary. I first discovered this place in a truck form 2 years ago at 626 market, then I couldnt find it since and I am so happy this place is now in Old Town Pasadena! Such a fantastic addition to the surrounding area because their Belgium waffles are DEVINE!!! If you like chewy soft waffles, this place is a MUST try. I really like the nutella and strawberry on the waffle, but the waffles with toffee ice cream and chocolate syrup. Price range is about $ 9 to $ 12 depending on add-ons.

Hidden gem you gotta check out if you want good dessert and privacy. There are 5 tables available and very spacious. They are located north of Colorado and nearest cross street is fair oaks. Parking lot is right at the corner and just walking distance. It’s great that they open late until 11 pm. The staff there are super friendly and they aim to please. They also checked at our table and even offered water! The must order is the waffle liege. They are made fresh on the order. One of the best waffles I have had: rich and fluffy! It’s smaller than the Belgium waffle but not too worry it will be enough. Top it off you have to add the infamous fosselman’s ice cream made fresh at a local ice cream parlor in Alhambra. They serve different flavors everyday. They will add fruits, whip cream, chocolate or caramel syrup, and even nuts to please whatever you tummy desires!!! Very yummy and I plan to come back here whenever I crave for waffle liege. Enjoy!
