While driving through downtown Pasco, my Mexican food antennas popped up as a drove past a new Mexican restaurant. I love the name: Taqueria La Esperanza. With a name like that, I knew I had to stop by. This is a new joint(I asked and it had just opened last weekend). I had a yummy Gordita at the Pasco Flea Market recently, so I thought I’d give this place a try. After ordering, I found out they didn’t take debit cards, so I ran down the street to my bank and withdrew some funds. As I ran back, my gordita and jarrito were waiting for me. The gordita was pretty tasty. Basically, this is a hole in the wall joint with authentic taco-truck fare(a good thing). So, if you don’t feel like ordering from a truck, and would rather grub on some taco truck food while sitting down, this is a decent place. I’ll have to check it out again to see how the rest of their menu is. This place is fairly minimal – just the basics here: tables, chairs, menu on the wall, etc.(see my photos to check out how it looks).
