We stopped by for lunch after visiting the farmer’s market in Pasco. I’m so glad we did! Tacos are fantastic! I ordered 5, a combo of carne asada(beef) and adobada(pork). My friends asked which I preferred, and I couldn’t choose. They were both tasty. My friend also ordered a torta and it was yummy, too. The set up is nice. The owner has tables and chairs with a large awning, and the area is clean. The owner was also super friendly and got our food out fast. I’ll be back!

In Benton-Franklin Co. there are 68 Taco Trucks & in Yakima Co. 40. I have my work cut out, but one at a time, we’ll get there. Most recent to check off the list: Taqueria La Suerte(«The Luck Taqueria»?) This taco truck is on Court St. and is probably one of the closest«Pasco trucks» to get to if you’re in Richland. Hard to believe I’ve driven by it and not partaken over all these years. What a crime. Many taco trucks around here have the basics and La Suerte has the same fare, but it certainly has a few extras which make it shine. Here’s the bizness: ***Al Pastor*** Whenever I see anything«al pastor» I have to order it. Al pastor is basically pork marinated in with a special recipe(generally with pineapple – yum!). It is generally cooked on a rotisserie. Now I’m not sure if taco trucks use a rotisserie, but I can say the al pastor here was wickedly good. On my first visit, I had a torta al pastor, and a taco al pastor(as well as a taco carne asada), and the al pastor clearly stole the show. Al pastor is an option for the tacos, tortas, burritos, & quesadillas. ***Torta Cubana & Torta Hawallana*** I LOVE tortas, and when I saw these unique tortas, I was intrigued. I asked the cook what they were, and they both sounded similar: ham & cheese, but the torta hawallana had pineapple: SCORE! So, on my second visit I had a Torta Hawallana(and 2 tacos al pastor). The Hawallana was certainly tasty. The pineapple was a good addition. I still think the torta al pastor was better. Next time, I’m going to have to ask if they can make a «Torta Gringo Corey»(a torta al pastor with pineapple). ***Griled Onions*** Not sure if I’ve had grilled onions with my taco truck fare, but it was definitely a nice added touch. In one fell swoop, Taqueria La Suerte has jetted near the top of my Taco Truck list. The cook was nice – «give me 5 minutes!»(he was probably faster). They were doing decent business – a good sign. While waiting you could browse the Hollywood Video next door(I ended up buying There Will Be Blood, The Ring, & La Vie En Rose for super cheap), or you could fuel up at the Tesora Metro Mart(the taco truck is parked here). The truck is open Sun-Thurs until about 10pm, and until 2am on Fri & Sat.(I could definitely see myself stopping here on a late night). My belly’s definitely had some bueno la suerte at this taco truck!
