George’s Pizza’n Pub

Good pizza place food and quaint bar area to grab a drink in a cozy dive type atmosphere. Restaurant area and bar area are beyond need for updating, if nothing else to lose the dirty appearance. With an updated new Atmosphere would be great local pizza joint with quaint separate bar.

I love George’s, it’s definitely a hometown staple. My only complaint would be how long it takes to get delivery. But other than that it’s good.

George’s customer focus has improved exponentially over the last year I ordered food was at my house within 20 minutes the driver was polite and the quality of the food was much better. Kudos to you guys!

I just don’t get the hype about George’s. The service is terrible — it seems that every employee could care less about customer service. The wait is ridiculous — whether you order take out or delivery, it takes FOREVER and forget about getting a seat as the place isn’t very big. My wife grew up on George’s and occasionally demands their pizza, but IMO it is just extra doughy and extra greasy. It tastes just fine and I haven’t had bad food from there, but I certainly could live without the frustration & attitude.
Seems to me that this place is surviving on reputation alone. Problem is, they still get so much business because of the name they seem to have the impression they don’t have to try anymore for the people to keep swarming in.

Their food is great for the price. Very grateful for their hours which is the only reason why I gave 4 stars.
Can’t speak for every single employee. They have better things to do than be punctual. The wait is long for take-​out. Wish there was a manager overseeing and driving the employees or at least more help. No need to complain about an incorrect order unless you want to invest another 40+ minutes for them to recook it.
Great food and hours. My patience is tested every time I go in to get my take out order.
A block away is the New Star Chinese food restaurant, they’re open til 10pm every night. Their food is OK and they’re very punctual with take out orders.

My family and I eat here at least once a week! Sure it does take awhile to get your good but you will not be disappointed! My favorite is the grilled chicken on garden salad with their tailings dressing it’s the bomb!

Great food, haven’t had a bad meal from here yet. Service is the problem. Take-​out service in particular. The staff seem more interested in chatting with other locals (or each other or someone in the phone…) than acknowledging someone coming in to pick up take out. If you eat in you should be fine.

I have nothing bad to say about the food. The pizza is amazing and the drinks are strong. Not to mention a good beer selection. The bartenders are also very personable. You will have to wait for your food but when it comes out you will enjoy it.

Much like the Western this place is a staple for both pizza and the patented «George’s special’ grinder, both are excellent.

I grew up a few minutes away from this establishment, and its always been a favorite of mine. When I went away to college, I got to experience some of the worst pizza known to man. It made me really appreciate how good George’s pizza really is.
Now, let’s get one thing straight. When you order a pizza from them, you must order a small and NOT a large. I don’t care if you need to get pizza for 100 people… you order 100 small pizzas. There is a BIG difference. Those who say that there is not a difference don’t know their ass from their elbow.
Now let’s talk about décor. This place screams «hometown pub.» If you don’t like that then order a large pizza and go to Shabooms. The old saloon doors leading into the bar used to terrify me as a child. All you could hear was a ruckus on the other side, and I always pictured two cowboys squaring off on eachother. As I got older, I found out that the bar can be a blast depending on when you go. I usually eat my small cheese pizza with a few beers at the bar.
I have no comment in regards to waiting time. I usually order a small cheese to go or get it at the bar, which takes about 20 minutes. I know some locals who complain about the wait, but I’ve never had any major issues.
Non-​pizza items that are good to eat. The buffalo calamari is epic, but must be ordered at the pub because it can get soggy if ordered to go. Locals go biserk for the weiners, but I’m usually too busy mowing pizza to partake in that nonsense. The sweet potato fries go good with a sub… which brings me to a hot topic.
Some of my friends lose their shit over the «George’s special» which is a turkey, roast beef, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion and etc on a toasted sub. Again, I’m too busy with my pizza/​beers to care about anything else. However, most of my friends will order this over a small cheese any day of the week.
Bottom line: if you want overpriced pizza, go to Papa Ginos. If you want shitbum pizza, order Dominoes on your smartphone. If you want to pick up slutbags and not rub elbows with the locals, go to McFaddens. If you want a fun atmosphere with good food & drinks at a good price, then go to George’s.

Good pizza, Good pub food, great drinks (get the ice box), and awesome bartenders, and decent prices. Where else in Burrillville can you get food until midnight on a weekday? It is a fun place to go. You never know who or what you will see. At times the food can be slow but I have no complaints!

I’m not a burrvillian but in sure glad I knew some who introduced me to George’s. fantastic service, great food, and strong drinks. I love this place!

It’s funny to read others complain about what town locals have known for years, if you order hot weiners, its going to take at least 45 minutes … and if you call in your order, no matter what they tell you … wait 45 minutes, then show up and it might be ready in 10 – 15 …
The food is pretty decent, i like the pan pizza, and the bar makes a really great drink called «Ice Box» … try one out, tastes just like an orange creamsicle.
Based on the food alone, its 4 stars … good bar food, and good pizza …
Remember — take out orders need a good hour — you’ve been warned.
Oh, and delivery takes just as long as take out …

Georges Pizza, This place defines Pascoag, RI. I believe it opened in the late 70’s it used to be in the building that is now Thai Time. The pizza is excellent and so are the sandwiches. They have a full compliment of fried seafood and really great salads. I eat here at least once a week and have been doing so since I was a kid.
There is always a familiar face and a warm hello.
The night life in here is also very fun.
