Visited during the summer(July 5). Waiting for the bus. Decided to explore while I was waiting. Not to many things to look at, actually hardly anything to look at! Very dead. Amble parking though. Clean area. Few benches to sit on. Would be a more interesting place if all the units were filled. I thought it was great though that there was a wine tasting there! Very reasonable price. «One for the road!!»

Amtrak of Paso Robles has served as the departure point for several trips north to the Bay Area. There’s an additional Amtrak station in San Luis Obispo in case you don’t live in the North County. The Pros: + Station is kept clean + There’s a waiting area that has plenty of seating + Check in to pick-up tickets ordered online was fast + The price is cheaper than taking a plane or renting a car, sometimes, not always The Cons: — Much slower method of travel if you’re in a hurry, plus trains are hit or miss on leaving promptly from the station — The trains themselves often have worn down interiors and need to be updated or replaced — Being a smaller station, the inside isn’t always open or staffed with employees if need a question answered, do your research online and in advance to avoid trouble Overall, if you wish to save a few dollars and aren’t in a hurry to arrive at your destination, Amtrak is a viable, although not extraordinary service to do so.
