Best hidden gem, EVER! Based on the lack of Unilocal reviews and my inclination to be an horrendous hotel snob, we almost didn’t book a room here. But a friend insisted it was great. And she was spot on! We don’t want to leave! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful! The whopping 7 min drive a little further out was certainly worth being a bit removed from the hub bub. The rooms… wow the website doesn’t do it justice. Loved, loved, loved it! We will definitely be back! The service was more akin to a bed and breakfast. If you’re needy and demand a lot of hands on, this isn’t the place for you. But if you appreciate a beautiful, quality hideaway, the countryside feel will bowl you over.

We stayed here for my birthday back in October and found Villa 46 to be a great tucked away location. Out of the entire property, we were the only ones staying during the weekend which was somewhat unique, somewhat alarming, it being Halloween and all! Prepared morning breakfast was very good. Would recommend taking down old Villa Toscana sign that was from the previous owner. Overall a great time and would definitely come back.

Celebrated my brothers wedding here and it was amazing. The location was beautiful and the rooms were awesome. The food was really great… Italian one night and beef and salmon for the wedding. We had a great time and everyone was super friendly and accommodating.

Was awed at how beautiful this place was! I was here last weekend for a wedding and it was picture perfect! The grounds were nicely kept and loved everything from the archways, the fountains, to the rooms! I would definitely love to go back here and spend the weekend at this private Paso retreat!

CaliPaso Winery/Villa Toscana is under new management! It was bought out of foreclosure from previous owners about a year ago. I visited a few days ago to check it out for a wedding. It was beautiful! Still a few repairs to be made here and there but it should be done in time!

Had a great time at this bed & breakfast and will definitely recommend this as a weekend getaway. We rented out the whole place for a 4 days for my aunt and uncle’s wedding. The wedding party stayed at the inn as well as some relatives who flew in from out of the country. The staff was more than welcoming and helpful in anything and everything that went on the whole time. Villa Toscana is absolutely quiet and wonderful! Although the wedding took place in June it was still a blast of a weather! If you’re looking for a nice weekend(long weekend for that matter) getaway, this is a great place to be. A little downside is… it’s a little pricey, but worth every penny. Just be sure you have an itinerary on what wineries or beaches to hit up while you’re here so you can definitely make your trip worth while.

This hotel ruined my wedding’s rehearsal dinner and has yet to apologize for its staff’s ridiculously unprofessional behavior. My family rented out half of the bed and breakfast to stay at during our wedding weekend. We decided to have our rehearsal dinner at Villa Toscana. As my new in-laws walked into the dinner, a Villa Toscana staff member named Jennifer ran toward me screaming and yelling, accusing my family of stealing keys from another guest. When we explained to her we only placed our suitcases in the room to which we were given keys by her fellow staff member, she continued to scream at me in a threatening manner, waiving her arms, mocking my plea to please lower her voice because this was a family event, and finally screaming at my face that she was going to «rip me a new one» before storming off. As you can imagine, that made the rest of the evening, post public humiliation, a bit hard to enjoy. Okay, fine. These things happen. What is SHOCKING, however, is that we never received an apology from this staff member, and when we approached other Villa Toscana staff, they indicated that this sort of outburst is a common occurrence with Jennifer. Yet, they refused to do anything to correct the situation beyond comping one night of one room… we rented out 4 rooms and a two bedroom suite for a whole weekend, not to mention paying site fees for the ruined rehearsal dinner and a brunch on Sunday… come on people — do a little more. We have made numerous efforts to contact the hotel’s owners to discuss this issue, but they refuse to return our calls or emails. This is a shame because the site is beautiful and Richard in the Bistro and Mary are great. Don’t plan an event here for fear you too could be told you’re about to get a new a – hole in front of your treasured family and friends.

holy schmoly. will i return? lemme just say yes. even if i DO have to pay over $ 350 for a weekend night’s stay!(we did not pay this rate… necessarily.) the bf booked this place day of arrival without telling me we were even traveling to paso! we arrive, me thinking he just needs to pee like no other and has been unsuccessful finding a destination for this after exiting the freeway and wandering into wine country. we check in. the gal, jennifer, at the front desk takes us to our villa, the pinot villa(all 8 villas are named after wine varietals). we walk in and are awe struck. the place is huge… open…beautiful! it’s on the corner! we have two walls of windows looking out over a beautiful vineyard! there’s a huge bed, a tv rises out of a large mohagany desk, the bathroom has three rooms(a jacuzzi tub area, a sink and mirror area, the toilette and the gigantic tiled shower. there’s a sitting area with a fireplace(!!) a dinette area and a great balcony overlooking said vineyard. we were in heaven. we arrived an hour after the wine and appetizer reception began(4−7pm) which is included in the price of the room as well as the bottle of wine provided in your villa bearing that suite’s name. we enjoyed an incredibly romantic evening taking advantage of all the villa and property had to offer and then enjoyed our amazing made to order bfast the following morning(also included). this place is beautiful. we’ll return for sure. i sure wish a wedding at this venue was in our future, but upon working out the math it’s amazingly over priced.:(

8.11.2007 «…You’re crazy… you’re nuts man…» …was the theme of the wedding. I came here to celebrate one of my best friends’ wedding this past weekend and although the venue was very nice, it was in the MIDDLEOFNOWHERE! Off the 46 on the way to Fresno, Toscana resembles its Italian counterpart but doesn’t quite measure up. I think they did everything they could however the landscape itself is surrounded by barren and depressing desert. The staff was friendly for the most part; except they locked me out of the ‘bar-area’ after drinks stopped being served. By the way, who only serves wine at a reception? That’s bull shit, IMHO. Anyways, nice… but not my cup-of-tea.

Ahhh… the«Villa» as it is known by locals earns every star of its 5 Diamonds. Wonderfully quiet rooms with top quality beds and space to relax in after a hard day of boozing(oppps…I meant wine tasting). And the evening hor d ’ oeuvres are to die for(made each day by an excellent chef). And of course the breakfast — yummmy. Is it pricey? Yes! Do you get what you paid for? Absolutely! Don’t overlook special rates on their website for off peak days as you have to dig a little to find it. Ths is the only place we will stay at anymore in Paso Robles. Cheers!
