This was our first stop of the day. The owner Jimmy gave us a very informative tour. The wine tasting was very good, and we joined their wine club. So cool Jimmy signed some of the bottles of wine we bought! We will visit this winery again!

Stopped in to see about getting our favorite white(Jimmymon) since it is getting to be warmer we enjoy a good chilled white at the end of the day. Jimmymon is basically a is a Viognier that had aged and became higher alcohol content then most wines(16%) Yeah if you drink a bottle you are going to be feeling like you are on da islands mon. We had a really good pourer and since we like the Jimmymon so much we picked up a case. Good stuff.

Maribeth and Jimmy get it absolutely right at Doce Robles! The wines are consistently excellent and age well(I’ve opened some 2007 and 2008 bottles recently and they’ve deepened in complexity since I tasted them years ago). This is one of the first wineries I went to when I started exploring wine in 2008 or 2009. Both Maribeth and Jimmy are always excellent hosts, ready to tell you stories and wine information alike. The Sy-rific-cab has always been a favorite, as have the Barbera and Sangiovese. The Sunset Red is a great casual red. The property is stunningly beautiful, too! I highly recommend coming to Doce Robles. They’re one of the first wineries on the 46W if you’re coming from the 101, so they’re easy to get to as well. Also, to the lady who tried to bring a dog in: there is a large sign as you drive in that says that dogs must stay in the car. It’s impossible to miss; I don’t even have a dog and I notice it every time. If you can’t be bothered to read the sign or respect the owners’ wishes, don’t be upset when they ask you to leave your dog in the car. Your review really has nothing to do with the winery or the owners and everything to do with you not getting your way. I have never seen Jimmy, Maribeth, or their staff be anything less than absolutely courteous to patrons of their winery, and I can’t speak highly enough of the hospitality that they have shown to me and my friends over the years. I hate being confrontational in these things, but sometimes reviewers need to be called out when their review is somehow misleading.

This was my favorite winery that we stopped at during a wine tasting tour i was on. Jimmy gave us a tour and was very personable. Also his wines were amazing, some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Its definitely a ma and pa feel at that little winery. I highly recommend.

Jimmy Jimmy!!! You rock! Thank you for a terrific time at your vineyard. The wine was amazing, especially the Jimmy Red — that’s one good blend. I came to this venue for a birthday party and it was really cozy and fun. The ambiance is very homey, service is stellar, and wine is amazing. Jimmy, the owner, is very NICE and Accommodating. His staff is also very FRIENDLY and FUN. When you’re here don’t forget to ask for the awesome relaxing HAYRIDE. He takes you all around his vineyard, explaining the different types of grapes. If you’re visiting Paso Robles, this is a must spot to stop by. It’s totally a hidden gem in Paso wine country.

This was my favorite of all the wineries we visited on our tour because I liked EVERY wine we tried. Leah poured for us and she was awesome and entertaining. Jimmy the owner came out and signed our bottles and shared great stories with us! It was a great time and a winery you MUST stop and taste!

Wonderful group of people & such a friendly dog!!! I had read several reviews on Unilocal about people being disappointed with the winery because their dogs weren’t allowed. I would like to say that I had a wonderful time at Doce Robles and the on-site German Shepherd was one of the friendliest dogs I’ve ever met. I think many people often forget that not all dogs get along with other dogs — just like people… I don’t like everyone either. The owners have it clearly posted that if you’re bringing a dog onto their property /the dog needs to stay in the vehicle. Which, I believe, is understandable. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the owner and his wife. We quickly struck up a conversation and spent the next hour chit-chatting while enjoying some delicious wine. The atmosphere is very low key and very«go with the flow». It’s absolutely perfect if you’re looking for a tasting room that isn’t stuffy. Our favorite wine was the Zin. I highly recommend buying a bottle — or case :). I cannot wait to go back!

I would not recommend this place. We arrived with a small friendly dog. The owner has a German Shepard that lives on property. BUT… other dogs are not welcome. The lady there was very mean about it and ordered me to put my dog back in the car. With an attitude like that she lost our business. I’m glad that we left right away because we found a much better and friendlier place, J Duci. There, not only dog Jenna was friendly, but all staff and the owner were kind to us, our kids and our pup.

We did a wine tour this past weekend and out of all the tours we visited this was our favorite. It felt very down to earth, pets roaming the property. Workers stopping to say hello. Wine was fantastic the lady helping us was hilarious and very knowledgable. Gorgeous view too!

I have belonged here for many years. Why? It’s close to 101, the owners are actually there and very nice, they do karaōke, it’s open till 530pm, and it’s more affordable than most others in Paso. It’s the low key mom/pop place that you come at the end of the day and have your last hour of fun. We got two guys in our group to sing and they did several more songs after that!!! Once in a while they do hay rides and I really like that. I wish they had that more often. They have a small store but my friend buys a purse or two each time she comes there. I have brought many friends there and they always enjoy themselves. I like Roblas Rojas and Tempranillo.

I cannot speak about the wine but when we drive up and the sign says we can’t even let our dogs out of the vehicles, then we will not be sharing our money with this winery… especially when there are literally hundreds of wineries to choose from in Paso! For dogs owners, they sure picked a large population of wine drinkers to keep out!

The winery is nice and humble, tastings are $ 5 and the staff was very friendly. I wasn’t in love with the wines but they were decent. We bought one of their cases for $ 109 which my hubby liked. If your just cruisin’ stop in it’s great weeknight wine.

Great wines, atmosphere and people! Mary Beth, Stephanie and Jimmy made our first stop of the day a great one! Good variety of wines Viognier, Tempernillo, Zinfindel and two blends — all tasty! Favorite was the Boudeau style blend! With Minnie and Jenna Rose the cat and dog our stop was complete!

A warning about this winery. My friend and I arrived on a Sunday morning 12÷8÷13 very excited to visit Doce Robles after reading the good Unilocal reviews. When we arrived, we were approached by two dogs. At first the dogs blocked my car and would not allow us to come into the parking lot. After waiting a few minutes they finally moved and we were able to park. As my friend got out of the car, one of the dogs came at her and jumped on the side of the passenger door, leaving a scratch on my white car. The male owner came out and yelled at his dog to leave us alone. He quickly went back inside and did not have the courtesy to come out and see if any damage was caused. The owner saw both of us examining the passenger side of the car for about 5 minutes but did not come out again. We left this winery without going inside for tasting. Don’t bring your new car or young children to this winery. The owners have two large, untrained dogs and he is not a responsible business owner.

Just leaving this place! It was awesome! It’s not for the stuck up wine folks though! Those kinds may get offended by what happens here: 1) a German Shepard dog when you enter 2) a new German Shepard puppy 3) the owner singing karaōke!!! At first, I was bummed bc the first couple of tastes we took were not that good! But, then we got to the last taste: Sunset Red… Delicious!!! We ended up buying a case! Usually $ 22 a bottle, but ended up around $ 10. If you are looking for a chill environment, an owner who signs bottles, an owner and wife who actually pour, a place where the owner and tasters can karaōke, then you’ve found your place! Very down to earth, just so comforting… Seriously, you feel like family! Lastly, we ordered two glasses of our favorite wine which are $ 6.00 a piece, we ended up getting those comped bc my hubby is military. We will for sure be back. So welcoming, so much fun, and knowing the owners care enough to pour = great experience! Another lastly… If you are looking for a smooth red: Sunset Red! P. s. songs: sweet Caroline, margaritaville, don’t stop believin’… Just some of the songs! What more can you ask for? :-)

Very cute, family owned winery. We were greeted by several dogs upon arrival. This winery was the first stop on our tour with the Grapeline. The servers were kind(husband and wife), and the husband was autographing some wine bottles, which is apparently«not a frequent occurrence.» :-) But yeah, they were friendly and got the job done. The scenery was nice out the back door, but the pluses were definitely the tastes of the wine and the service versus the location/environment(speaking relatively of course… we went to three other wineries that had nicer sceneries/ambiances). They didn’t have tasting crackers though. I think all of their wines were at least $ 10… but we just saw one at Trader Joe’s for $ 7. Oops.
