The worse seven course dinner I have ever experienced. My boyfriend got me a wine membership for Christmas as well as a stay at the Justin Inn for the weekend. The winery is located in a beautiful setting and the suites are very cute. We had dinner reservations on Friday night 2⁄19. We arrived and there were only two other couples there. So they served a total of 6 people that night for dinner. When we booked the stay at the Inn and the dinner reservations they never stated that it was a pre set menu and you cannot make your own choice. It is Lent and every restaurant even Jack in the Box offers a fish option during Lent. When we arrived the waiter stated that the menu was preset and 7 courses. I asked if they had a fish option because it is Lent and he stated no. So I just went for it. The waiter leaves and brings the couple next to us Salmon! I asked him can I have that too he stated I would have had to call ahead for that! Mind you there are six of us the entire night in there. The food was awful!!! The fried duck skin was like chewing gum! The duck was under cooked I couldn’t even cut it with my knife. The lamb was so raw the fat was still cold and gooey. The couple next to us said«I was trying to stab it with my fork so it wouldn’t walk off my plate». We left there starving after a 7 course meal and paying $ 280! The worse part was we were staying in the middle of no where and went to bed hungry. I’m still in shock that no one has contacted us about the experience. I’m not one to write bad comments as my family owned a restaurant in San Diego for 20 years but I had to write this so no one else attempts to spend that kind of money and leave disappointed… we are cancelling out membership even though we love the wine due to the way Justin handled this.

Amazing property, delicious wines and warm and helpful staff! We did a wine tasting with Art at the patio tasting gazebo and it was by far the best tasting we have ever had. Art is a great host with unmatched knowledge and a genuine passion for Justin wine! We joined their Wine Society and look forward to visiting their amazing Wine Society Lounge! We will be back to see Art!

Justin has HANDSDOWN the best wine in Paso Robles! We arrived at the last minute, but April was SO amazing and led us through a quick tasting, as we had never been there before. She could have easily turned us away, but she welcomed us in and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. We left with 2 bottles(highly recommend Isoceles) and will be back for more! It’s all thanks to April who went out of her way to accommodate us and make our trip there so memorable!

First time at Justin and Mark R.(Music Mark) was amazing. He guided us through the tasting, mini tour and buying a few bottles. He was so friendly and had great customer service. If you’ve got a chance to visit, do so and say hi to Mike. You’ll love everything about Justin. Some day I’ll even try to stay at the Justin Inn.

The views over the vineyard are amazing but the food is even better. We didn’t have reservations but Gabe quickly squeezed us in… will definitely make reservations next time. And wine tasting is free with lunch. Soup of the day was sunchoke and mushroom… an artichoke-based soup that was to die for. The burger was fantastic and the fries are infused with lemon juice… sounds odd but tastes great… my wife said they were the best fries she’s ever had. And the dining patio is dog friendly… loved that! Will definitely be back… a wonderful way to fill up during a day wine tasting trip in the Paso Robles highlands.

Beautiful property and we’ve been such fans of Justin wine for many years but sadly our visit lacked the excellence and passion we loved originally about the wines. Very basic tasting and the pourer we had seemed to have very little knowledge of the wines being poured. We asked for tasting notes and were given much attitude because apparently they don’t have them readily available and have to be printed… kind of a disservice to the winery because we were there to spend some money on wine and were given no information, no story and our pourer really lacked any sort of enthusiasm for the wine. One of the saddest tastings we’ve ever had, we were in and out of the tasting room in under 30 minutes. Seems like they are just there to pour wines and send people on their way. We love the wine but we will not recommend this tasting to anyone.

How can you have a bad time at this place? Getting lost in the foresty wilderness on the way there… Check Tid bits of info on the wine during tasting– not overwhelmed and not bumbarded… Check Stunning view from the outdoor patio… Check Top quality wines all across the board? …Check(Gosh Isosceles, you’ve done it again) Will be back. This area is so beautiful! So much more to explore. Impressed by our tasting host, a Frenchman? I think I mostly liked his accent … ;) Con: JUSTIN seems to have quite a few of their wines labeled with«special names» In my opinion this completely deters your attention from understanding the varietal I only take the time to mention it here because I noticed that they have an above average amount of wines with the special names, i.e.: Justification, Trilateral, Right Angle, Focus, Eighty One, Savant, to name a few. It’s just too much Love a winery with a high quality Viognier. phew! Viognier all day Overall, very impressed. Will be back. Great place to bring a big group of wine-o friends Cheers

We went to five different wineries this weekend in Paso and Justin was by far the best as each wine we tasted was delicious. I’ve never had a tasting where I loved them all(including the Chardonnay). The justification, isosceles, and isosceles reserve were my favorites. The reserve one is phenomenal, I can’t do it justice with words, you just have to try it. I didn’t get to try the Malbec because there wasn’t any open but I bought a few and am looking forward to trying one soon. We will definitely come back here and have lunch too. Maybe stay at the Inn? It’s so peaceful and beautiful and everything is super well taken care of on the property. Ann(e?) did our tasting and she was awesome and knew so much about all of the wines and really helped us figure out what to buy. She was funny and personable and helped make Justin a fantastic experience for the four of us.

I was nervous to taste here for obvious reasons. Duh, corporately owned is a big red flag in the wine industry. However, I was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I tasted for the hell of it and were shocked at the supreme customer service. Our server was extraordinary, even though he poured us Fiji water… figures. My only complaint is with the Isosceles blend was rather thin. I expected a giant Cabernet beast and was greeted by a lamb. This was so mellow that it was actually unappealing. But, the myth was larger than the product. I was still pleased. Well done for a corporate winery.

JUSTIN has one of the best wines I have ever had: ISOSCELES. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Paso Robles and the wonderful concierge recommended several wineries for us to visit. She said JUSTIN was the farthest away, but that we couldn’t miss it… and she was right! After going to a different winery, we were given a ‘Free Tasting for 2′ at JUSTIN. The winery is built on a beautiful landscape and the tasting room has a very sleek and elegant feel. The servers are very knowledgeable and can tell you the history of the wine and what you should taste. ISOSCELES wasn’t initially offered with our tasting, but the server gave it to us anyway. I was sure happy he did because we ended up each ordering a glass of the wine and a bottle($ 70). We drank our glasses of wine over an outdoor fire pit looking out at the vineyard. The winery really gives you a special experience and I highly recommend visiting the winery if you are in Paso Robles.

A friend’s family member recommended this winery for our recent trip, so we prioritized tasting at this winery. I’m glad we did. Every wine here was amazing. Every one. That’s rare for me to say. My favorite was the Justification, a cabernet franc and merlot blend. The cabernet franc definitely stands out in this wine, giving it more structure than the fruitier merlot would have n on its own. It’s a dense, dark wine with earthy, cassis, and chocolate notes. This would be my fireside wine. No need to pair. The next wine that really took me by surprise was the Malbec. Often passed over by non Latin American winemakers, this grape often produces inky, profound wines that are not for the meek. Justin’s Malbec, however, is more approachable and would be a great introduction for those new to this varietal. This Malbec had strong cedar, spice, and fresh violet flavors. It had a velvety feeling in my mouth with a medium tannin structure. If Washington state had a wine that tasted the way it felt, it would be this wine. But tasters be warned that this is one of the more order l pricey locations in Paso Robles. A tasting is $ 15 I believe. Wines start at $ 30+ and go up from there. Still, it’s a pleasure to try these wines even if you can’t buy the whole bottle.

We had just a tasting here. Justin includes 5 delicious wine samples(1 white, 4 reds) for 15 dollars. Beautiful scenery and very nice staff. We also noticed how accommodating the staff were for the other customers. Overall, we had a great experience and happy to drive so far out of the way for this winery.

Justin was wonderful. We had a great tasting, the gentleman who helped us was very knowledgable as to the wines. We enjoyed lunch here, the food was good. But, my absolute favorite past about Justin was the rolling hills of vineyards. I was not too crazy about the wine, I think I’ve had better. Although their reserve cab and rose were really good. Having the tasting outside with the view of the vineyards was my favorite part!

Gave it another go and my previous review still stands. This time I actually went with a wine club member and our experience was not much different. We did get one extra pour of a reserve wine, but that was it. Our attendant wasn’t much in the way of personality or knowledge about the wine, or interested in our attendance for that matter, and nearly overcharged us at the end until I inquired if the final total was after the wine club member price. So, as you can see, they really take care of their wine club members here! Their wines are lovely and expensive and I’ll drink them whenever available, but not sure I ever need to make that long drive out to their tasting room ever again.

JUSTIN Vineyards delivers, both in terms of their wine and their food. Service is fantastic here, so you’ll never be kept waiting, either at the restaurant or the tasting room. Views are fantastic outside, and the entire outdoor seating area is heated, so taste a bunch of wines, buy the cab reserve, and then head outside for a bite and the view. Mac and cheese with real cheese, short rib sandwiches that are as greasy as they are tasty, and massive salads(although they’re too heavily dressed with cheese and dressing). Love this place.

JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery may be one of the best wineries I have visited in a long time. They are located in the middle of nowhere far away from most of the Paso Robles wineries. Those that make the long voyage will be rewarded. Their modern and very attractive winery and tasting room is about 30 minutes from downtown Paso Robles, but in a totally different level of wine. JUSTIN has a great combination of an excellent winery and excellent wine. I knew this place has lots of awards for their wine, but their excellent blends really showcase the unique varietals of the region and combine them for a product superior to the sum of the inputs. As expected, the place was very busy, but their staff still took a personal touch to my experience and ensured that I had an excellent time. I was very impressed with their focused tasting menu. After buying several bottles, I walked around the beautifully landscaped grounds and was envious of those couples who were spending the night here at the inn. JUSTIN is an excellent winery with excellent wine and should be a top destination for wine lovers across California.

I went with a group of friends to Justin for my birthday and this was our first stop of the day. WOW doesn’t even begin to describe this place. The scenery is beautiful and the tasting area was resort-like. Alex was helping us and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Mark who also worked there would come by and provide comedy and great stories. We had such a great time and bought a couple bottles to take home. Overall friendly staff, a great location, and great wine. I will definitely be coming back!

One of the best wines in CA fro sure. Definitively do the private tour– its is worth the knowledge and to be able to see the caves as well as drink some of the reserve wine(if you are a member you can get this wine as well but not as non-member). Great sales for wine society members and the discount definitely pays off. The wine only gets better with time. Wine society members have private tasting room on the vineyard opened only on weekends.

There is a lot of talk about Justin since it was acquired by the Wonderful Company a few years back.(If you’re not aware Wonderful owns POM, Wonderful Pistachios, Fiji Water, Halos, and more). I know some people don’t like the changes(especially the modern tasting room) but I really enjoyed my wine tasting experience here. Throughout the tasting we were offered Fuji water and even given full bottles before we left. I love Justin wines — if you’re a red wine drinker, this is your place. If you prefer whites, check out Wonderful’s other winery, Landmark Wines. I walked away with a bottle of the Reserve Malbec and the Isosceles, but others in my group preferred Right Angle and Justification. You can’t really go wrong here. The only dull spot in our tasting experience here was our interaction with staff. The lady pouring for us kept asking somewhat stupid questions(i.e. Have you ever tried one of our reserve wines before? Um… yeah, we’re wine club members here, and have been for years… so duh. And we’ve told you multiple times about how often we’ve been here and our club membership). It wasn’t even busy when we were there on a Saturday morning, so she was only serving our small group of three. Additionally, she took forever to ring up our two purchases. We shipped a case home and took a couple of bottles with us. I could see this being really frustrating if this place was busy. Although, she perhaps redeemed herself when she found out that our group was celebrating my mom’s birthday and gave us some free tasting glasses.
