Genuinely fun place(«dive bar») to hang out and enjoy a drink. Prices were very reasonable, owners/bartender very friendly. Good cheap game of pool to be had. Fun night

One of the best bars I’ve been to. The bartenders are incredible. I can’t wait to go back!

We stumbled upon this place thanks to Unilocal.A lot of us were in town for a wedding and we’re looking for a place to hang afterward. Apparently it was karaōke night and there were some really talented locals! We enjoyed the great drinks and the locals belting out classics. The only downside was the long wait for one of us to get up on stage, but that’s also a good sign of a fun night.

This place is the MOST fun, and the owner, Ron, is a real sweetheart! Came for the live band on Saturday — a fun country western dance-worthy getup — and stayed for the karaōke on Sunday as well. The crowd seems to be a good mix of regulars and out of towners, and everyone is up for dancing. The drinks are stiff(make sure you ask about their special«cranked up» wine), the music is hopping, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is down-home honky-tonk. There is history here too — this is one of the town’s oldest buildings, and in it’s early days it housed a brothel upstairs that was frequented by Jesse and Frank James(as legend has it). They now rent the second floor rooms out to guests. Next time in town, I’m definitely booking a room!

Solid rough & tumble dive bar. In a quaint small town full of wine tasting rooms, the Pine Street Saloon sticks out a little bit. And I like that, a bit against the grain, you’ll tell right away just looking at the building compared to the rest of town. No frills, just bottled beers and liquor, nothing on draft. A place to frequent? Probably not, but worth popping in for a quick beer or drink.

Most of the staff is really great, but Danny, the bar Manager is unbelievably rude to his patrons. I was shorted $ 60 in change and told him about it and he became very irate. Not the first run in with him, definitely has customer relation issues. Watch Out!

Weirdly Racist owner. Went there for a cocktail/beer while in wine country, wandered in on karaōke night. The crowd was very diverse, started very country but got less so as the night went on. Sang a few favorites, Intergalactic by the beastie boys, Nicki Minaj, and right after the owner told the owner no hip hop or rap. Weirdly he didn’t consider Vanilla Ice rap but that’s unimportant. Apparently, multiple people requested rap and he said no, seems like a bad business strategy, just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t allow it. Oh well, if I’m ever back in Paso I know somewhere I won’t be going, which is a shame because the bartender and KJ were great.

I liked this place. Great live music on a Saturday night… no cover and cheap beer. Had a chat with the owner of the bar while I was there… very pleasant guy.

Never once have I walked in a bar, sat down, and had a bartender walk past me 5 times without once uttering a word. Apparently this is a locals only bar because you won’t get service as an visitor. Beyond horrible service. Please go elsewhere if you want to be treated as a human being. 0 stars if possible.

Its meets my expectations as a dive bar should. We came on a Saturday night and there was quite a crowd there. The live music was good and we danced quite a bit. The drink selection is good and they are cash only, but not to worry, there is an atm right inside. The crowd was mixed with your typical hey ladies come over here types, to some less sleezy friendly people.

If you want to get hollered at by the moronic drunk locals or hear them complain about smoke being in there eyes in the smoking area. Possibly you want to deal with a man named«Kevin» that bumbles around the bar making every interaction painfully awkward because it looks like he is on every drug from the 80’s. The service wasn’t terrible. The bar back/bouncer/security staff could honestly care less about their jobs and the owners don’t enforce any of your typical bar rules, such as serving an over intoxicated belligerent person more alcohol instead of removing them from the establishment. I get it, you have to make every dime you can but enough is enough and it will come back to haunt them. AVOIDTHISDIVEATALLCOSTS!

Went in on a Saturday night with friends and family after a wedding because it was within walking distance bad choice way crowded which I can understand but racist skinhead types starting fights not acceptable after 2 brawls which we didn’t start popping off and some guy yelling f*** Mexicans we won’t be back!

We were in town for a few days to meet some friends for wine tasting and headed to the Pine Street Saloon for a few pints after dinner on Thursday night. We had a great time people watching, playing pool, and getting to know some of the locals. Ron and Kim made us feel very welcome and took good care of us. We had such a great time Thursday night, we went back Friday and joined in on the Karaōke. It was packed and so much fun! It’s quite a bit of country, with some rock n roll too. Next time we are in Paso, we will definitely go back. Really enjoyed our two nights there and the locals and staff made us feel like we were locals too!

Meh. I’ve been here a few times, and I have a mixed opinion of the place, so here goes. Pros: –The live music that I’ve heard there is very good. –Two pool tables, which are impossible to get a game on. –Karaōke night. –Bartenders who are fast and efficient. Cons: –Definitely attracts an older, old-school kind of crowd. –Cash only(it’s 2012, right?) –Usually nowhere to sit. –Not really much to do there, unless it’s Karaōke night and the extremely rare occurrence of one of the pool tables being open happens. Overall, I just don’t think it’s my scene. The only reason I go is because my friends like it for some odd reason.
