The wines were very good but the wait staff was just ok, they seemed quite uninterested in making it an enjoyable experience. The facilities are very multipurpose and would be good for a reception or party. There were abundant fountains, which did make me think«aren’t we in a drought?». We ended up buying a bottle of wine in the end with a discount and only had to pay for the bottle and not the tasting, the best part!

Steve saved my life. Before Steve my life was a dark walk through endless dismal disappointment. Steve is the light at the end of the tunnel, the wind beneath my wings. Thank you for the pours Steve. All is right in the world now.

The winery is beautiful. They had a nice lay out of red wine tasting but no whites. The experience could have been nice but we had a very rude Germán woman as our wine steward. She walked off from us while I was mid-sentence admiring her paw necklace. It was very strange. I won’t go back.

Fantastic tasting experience and selection of reds. Pleasantly surprised by their Port, which was a nice mild blend.

I always feel like we’re treated like family every time we visit Robert Hall. From the tasting to the tour, this staff knows how to treat their patrons. Jennifer took great care and time explaining all the wines in detail from where they come from to how the wine is produced. She gave us a couple reserve pours and the wine is outstanding. I highly suggest the reserve flight. Excellent Malbec and a blend that was my personal favorite. I would say this is my favorite and most consistent winery we visit. The wine is affordable and a great quality. I highly suggest this tasting if you’re in Paso Robles.

On 1⁄30 our party of 10 arrived for a wine tasting and cavern tour. The two ladies behind the counter that were assigned to pour our wine were a bit ‘snobby’ to say the least. They were dry, didn’t offer helpful information, didn’t smile, and were reluctant to give us the cavern tour. Our group was friendly, asked question, and fairly interested in the wines and wine making process. After asking about the cavern tour for the third time, one of the snobby ladies pawned us off to a younger gal… and thank goodness. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is for the young hostess who gave us an informative, helpful and friendly cavern tour. Two older ladies learn your lesson, our group spent hundreds of dollars in cases of wine at four other wineries… don’t judge a book by its cover. We will never return to Robert Hall and will pass on our experience to all our friends.

My wife and I selected the Robert Hall Winery venue for our wedding after visiting about 3 other venues. The views at the winery are absolutely gorgeous and renting the property is very reasonably priced. For the price they include all the rentals(tablecloths, silverware, plating, etc, and they take care of the breakdown) and a day of coordinator which is a HUGE bonus. Most other wedding venues that we looked at were far more expensive and would have required us to bring in rentals and our own coordinator. Having our reception in the Wine cellar made it easy to decorate. We had alot of great memories from our wedding, our Guest loved the venue, and the hospitality provided by the Robert Hall Winery team was second to none. Thank you for making our day so special!

The winery is in a lovely location. I attended a wedding there and the entire wedding was fabulous. Highly recommend the venue. However, if you are Latino and like to celebrate with music this is NOT the proper venue. I don’t know the specifics but I did witness the winery’s event planner shutting down the live music band(la Banda). Very disappointed maybe the wedding party was warned so read your contract carefully.

Came here on a quiet friday afternoon and our hostess was soooo nice to us that she helped us with a map of all the area as well as some ideas for our next trip down there. Got a bottle of Orange Muscat(I would have bought more but we were going camping). I’ll definitely put Robert Hall in my list of wineries always visit when Im in Paso Robles. Who needs Napa?

Robert Hall Winery is worth a visit for the tasting room and vineyard — the place is beautiful. From the fountain that greets you to the amphitheater behind the tasting room you’ll find yourself compelled to stop here on your Paso wine tasting trip. When we visited the large tasting room was pretty empty so we got the opportunity to wander around and try the cheese and jam being served off in a corner of the room. Staff told us that Margaret(Robert Hall’s wife) visits the tasting room and winery daily to greet visitors and check-in on the place. We didn’t see her when we were there, but I like the dedication that the Hall family brings to their winery. Tastings are $ 10 for 5 pours. If you enjoy red wines, this is your place. While we were there we tasted the merlot, cab sauvignon, and malbec. My favorites were the reserve cab and the malbec.

When making your way through Paso Robles, be sure to make your visit to RH around the lunch hour. Yes the wine was great and the grounds beautiful, but the standout was the excellent mobile pizza truck parked out front. Wood fired pizzas made to order to go along with your wine. Be sure to buy a few bottles, grab a table in the courtyard, and take in the beautiful scenery. The tasting room is huge and gets crowded very quickly, so get in, find something that you like, and shuffle outside. Come hungry and thirsty!

Walked in for a tasting and Christina took us for an impromptu tour. What a beautiful property! We enjoyed a barrel tasting in the cavern, too.

Came accross this place as we were driving along. Out of all of the wineries along the road we ended up at this one. The service was great the girl that gelped us seemed very knowledgeable and was very sweet. The wine however was as nice as others i have tried.

Yes, I think their wine is fairly good! We enjoyed a leisurely tasting on Saturday early afternoon after a long drive to Paso Robles from the SF Bay area. We were really just waiting for our Cave tour, a tour of the winery and«Cave» underground where all the wine is stored. Our tasting was very relaxing and I enjoyed the Zin the best, so we ended up buying three bottles to take away. At $ 18 per bottle this was a really good deal! One, a gift for my cousin and two eventually to end up at home in our wine mini cellar– containing a maximum of 28 bottles. Not much I know, but enough to keep us for a few months at a time until the next wine tasting adventure. We enjoyed the wine flight and not even one just mediocre wine it wall all good! The tasting was free, since we purchased some wine so it was nice value. Our tour was about thirty minutes and involved going down to the cellar underground, where the ambient temperature was in the low 50s just perfect for wine. Our tour guide was very friendly, and knowledgable about the history of the place and also I learned a bit more about the making of red wine and how they turn the skins from the grapes and rotate it through the juice to make give it the red color. The longer they do this part of the process the more red the wine gets. The tasting room was not crowded and they really did a nice job of serving us and chatting with us to make our experience pleasant! What a nice way to enjoy Paso Robles. We would go back.

Most etheal winery I have ever visited! There is something peaceful about this place that is akin to an Italian rural side. We went there for a pairing with brownies. This is the most tasty wine pairing ever on a budget. Try their orange Margaret wine. If you like citrus based wine. Go here. Orange muscat!

one of the higher-profile wineries based in paso robles – you see their wines at trader joe’s and costco! Pros: wine tasting comped if you buy a bottle. not sure if this is an explicit rule at this winery, but we bought three bottles, and were informed that our tasting fees were waived cave tour… always fun they’ll pour you virtually any of their wines for a complimentary tasting, regardless of whether it’s on the tasting list. i asked for the grenache blanc and the viognier; the wife asked for the moscato. they happily rinsed our glasses and poured genuinely nice and relatively knowledgeable staff Cons: none will make it a point to return! also, mitchella winery is right behind them – just keep driving.

I’m a fan of their Cabs and Syrahs stocked by Trader Joe’s and made a point to stop by. They close at 5 and when we went in at 4:20, the pourer mentioned(multiple times) that she wanted to go home. Huh. The wines cost about five dollars more than retail but somehow we were hard pressed to find ones that we actually liked. Still, their grounds were beautiful and it makes for a beautiful sunset wedding.

The first Paso Robles winery to wine the«Best Winery in California» title by taking the most medals at the fair. The wines are perhaps not all categorically great, but the reserve wines are extremely well made. The tasting room policy of free tastings with the purchase of a bottle is highly appreciated.

Last stop on our DIY wine tour, so I only did one tasting. After the hostess described some of the wines to me, I selected one called Orange Muscat mostly out of curiosity because I never heard of this one before. On a hot afternoon like today, it was very refreshing. A little sweeter than I usually like but as the hostess recommended, I will pair it with something like Thai or Chinese food or popcorn! Attentive staff here and a comfortable tasting room.

I picked this winery because they have a bocce ball court. We’ve been meaning to go play bocce ball, but haven’t had time to do it, so I figured this is a nice opportunity for us to do this. Using the bocce court is free, but reservation is recommended. They have 2 courts side by side. When we came, noone was playing because it was super hot outside and there’s no shade in the bocce court area. We bought a bottle of their muscat wine and they gave us wine glasses so we can play and drink on the bocce court. You also get a free wine tasting for each bottle you purchased(or it’s $ 10/tasting). The grounds here are very pretty and there was even a wedding on the side patio when we were there.
