Today I called to see if my husband’s boots were ready. She told me I had to have a claim ticket. A few minutes later I called back. She was so rude, her tone of voice. I said, «Do you want the claim number? «She said, «Not really, I am with a customer». Then she told me they were probably ready because all were done the day before.
She couldn’t have told me that the first time?
I used to love Takkens but now it is consistently bad service. Just like another review said, they don’t help, just answer real quick and walk away or point.

I was so disappointed in their customer service today. It IS the day after Christmas, but…
I went into the Paso Robles store looking for boots. I saw a pair of $ 150 boots & was waiting for help. A man walked over & asked if he could help me. I said yes, I wanted to buy boots. He pointed to 3 different places & said over there, there & there and then walked away. I wandered for a minute then left. So disappointed.

I stayed in Paso Robles for 1 night (Monday March 31, 2015 because my sister, mom, and myself were going to do zip lining in the morning. I left my shoes at home and need a pair of tennis shoes quickly.
Luckily this store was open at 9am, our tour was scheduled for 10am and were 21 minutes away. I had just enough time to go in and buy the cheapest tennis shoes possible. The tennis shoes selection for women leaves room for desire and the prices aren’t cheap. I was able to purchase a pair of tennis shoes for $ 50 and that was on sale. I was hoping for a whatever cheaply shoe but that wasn’t the case for me that day.
In the end I got a pair of shoes for $ 50 and that’s it. The customer service was awesome!

— Staff is wonderful and incredibly helpful with what u are looking for

My wife’s co-​worker experienced the same issue so I know I’m not alone.
I purchased a set of Danners, and used a 20% off coupon my wife found online to purchase them. I brought them home, and didn’t wear them. I brought them back in to exchange them for a different pair of boots, and they had to be ordered. They asked for a deposit for the boots, and I used the refund from the Danners. When I went to pick them up, I wanted to use the same coupon again. Using the coupon would mean I put too much of a deposit for the boots and I would be refunded $ 25, they refused because, «It doesn’t work that way,» but I can come back and use the coupon on another purchase. They even refused to at least give me store credit. I’m unhappy, and refuse to shop there again.

I have been to this store twice in the past 6 months. They carry the Keen brand of shoes that I like and I have bought 2 pairs over this time. My mother also purchased a pair. I cannot say enough about Emily. She has been terrific. I have also ordered shoes over the phone here. She has gone out of her way to find my size even if the store has not had them in stock. Yesterday I ordered a pair of shoes over the phone. The store did not have my shoes, so Emily searched around for them at other Takken’s stores in the area. She found them. Called me to tall me they were on their way and they arrived at my work this morning. One day service! Super service! Did I say that I live in Sacramento several hours away? I will be going back to buy again at this store.

Takken’s in Paso has been great to me! Every year with their parking lot sale gets me going to have lots of spare shoes and upgrade me to tip top shape. The UGG selection is good and the bottom line is I like these guys. Thanks
