New, clean, nice layout and tidy bathrooms. Efficient solar-powered light poles and drought tolerant landscaping… tons of taxpayer grant $$ but it looks good. What wasn’t thought out is that there is zero shade. All benches & picnic tables are in sun. Play structures are fun but also in full sun so on warm days the equipment is WAY too hot to use, especially the 10 foot tall, twisty metal climbing structure.(I’m surprised more kids don’t fall or get burned on it. It’s far more dangerous than Paso’s old merry-go-round was.) It’s hard to nurse an infant or park stroller unless you want to fry. A row of benches by the shady bathroom area would be a nice addition.

What a beautiful new park. Well it was new to me, and I am not sure how I missed this one as I make it a point to visit and chat about all the parks in town. Well this one is set of for littler kids with a soft landing floor beneath many of the climbing things. See the pictures to get a handle on this bright colorful city park. There is not a lot of shade, so come early and late in the summer and enjoy. Lots of picnic benches to have a party for all. Enjoy!

Well laid out, well thought out. Congratulations Paso Robles for creating a really fun, kid friendly park! First of all, the equipment is colorful. I am talking bright orange and lime green colors. And it is all in great condition. Secondly, it inspires creativity. It is not just jungle gyms and swing sets. There are zones for music(bongo drums, an unusual keyboard for playing), sand play(multi level surfaces with containers of clean, moist sand), places to crawl, jump, climb, swing, and best of all, surfaces that surround the equipment that are safely bouncy(rubberized). Not only are they easy on both little and big feet, but also perfect for those unexpected little spills and tumbles that usually end up with boo boos, splinters, scrapes, and tears. A lot less of that here. Then, there is the little amphitheater behind the large, well maintained bathroom building. They must be some rocking, good entertainment there sometimes. The grasses and shrubs are kid friendly too. I saw small children bending over to see a discovery, probably a lizard or something, that called the tall grasses around the perimeter of the park his home. There are also adult friendly benches and picnic tables. Definitely a great place to bring the little ones.

Beautiful and clean! There are always great toys at local parks but this park seems to have more than just your average play toys. The park opens at 6AM and closes at dusk. The bathroom seem to be clean and well-maintained. There’s an emergency pole with a phone system that contacts the Police Department if something goes wrong in the park. That seems to be a really nice feature for when you’re taking your kids to the park. Lots of new shrubs a very small grass area and four picnic tables that are concrete.
