I live a block away from this place, but had yet to try it. I figured I’d drop by on a slow Tuesday evening and try some of the food. I decided to go with the ‘Large Churrasco’ that was on the menu for $ 15.95. 20 minutes later… the food comes out. Upon taking the first couple bites, I knew it wasn’t Churrasco. I’ve had Churrasco in many different types of places and it was never this dry and flavorless. Anyhow, I was starving, so I kept eating and didn’t complain. After I finished, I asked for the check. When the check comes, it shows the Churrasco at $ 25.00. I immediately call the waitress over and ask what’s going on. She explained to me that the Churrasco on the menu is the«medium» one even though the menu CLEARLY says«large». I ask her to bring me the menu again and show me where it says $ 25.00. She says she understands but that the cooking/management staff somehow decided they were going to «upgrade» my dinner and give me the larger one. I explained to her that this is very misleading and that I refuse to pay $ 25.00 for a plate that was clearly advertised for $ 15.95. I’m not a cheap person, it’s very simply the principle. She goes to the back to speak to the manager and comes back to me with the same response. I tell her that’s unacceptable and there’s no way I’m paying $ 25.00 for the fake Churrasco after I’ve been misled. Eventually, she went ahead and updated the check to reflect the actual price that was on the menu. I originally intended on putting everything on my card, but after the terrible experience and shady service, I decided to pay cash. I definitely didn’t feel comfortable giving these guys my card number. First AND Last time I’ll ever visit Sarita’s Mexican Restaurant.

Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday. The street parking is a pain, but you can take a risk and park by the Walgreens across the street. The restaurant was dimly lit, and a mariachi band was playing annoyingly loud. The staff doesn’t seem to speak much English, but it’s not too hard to communicate. Had the tostadas and a burrito. Both were good, especially with their hot sauce. The bill was very cheap. Unfortunately, the waitress had some trouble with my credit card and it seemed as if she charged me a ridiculous price at first. She did manage to correct the mistake though. Not a bad spot for Mexican.

I was craving Mexican gif but the local door by me was full. I decided to go to passiac since I know there is no shortage of great Mexican spots. I came here simply because ur was the first one I read that offer a full bar. Parking is easy. The indoor décor. Comfortable but nothing fancy. Don’t get yiur expectations up. It’s s great spot to sit have drinks and catch up with friends. The service was dead on and super attentive. Our food esssss simple but the seasoning and attention to detail was yummy. Definitely coming back with my girls. Only gave it 4 stars because st first I didn’t know what to expect

This place is great food and nice authentic Mexican ambience. The service is great, the tacos are real good chicken, beef or pork. The margaritas are slamming I usually get them on the rocks. Don’t listen to Ricardo from Montclair he obvi have never had REAL Mexican food. I’ve had it in Texas, LA and Chicago. This place ranks pretty well with those spots.
