Me and family and friends eat here many times we either pick it up or go there. The place is not very attractive looking but the food is delicious. I LOVE their wonton soup it’s not like the other places where the wonton is more dough than the pork filling. Aside from the soup the duck is good and also the Gallina chi jua kay, well I actualy don’t think it’s hen. It’s chicken but gosh it is delicious crispy and just so savory. Their chancho asado(pork) is also good. If you are craving chinese food, this will hit the spot.

I’m not too crazy about«Chifa», so forgive me for my low rating. I hope my Peruvian friends don’t find out I’m a Unilocaler! LOL! This restaurant has absolutely no frills, and makes you feel like you are in a little town in South America hundreds of miles away from New York(actually, it’s only 12 miles from Manhattan). My Peruvian friends have been coming here for years and swear that their Chifa is great, but I find it too greasy and bland! Lo siento!!! However, I LOVE their helado de lucuma!!! It’s made of orange color Peruvian fruit, also known as «eggfruit». I meant to share it with my friend but I ate 90% of it, LOL! I give it 4.5 stars for the lucuma ice cream!!! It has a very distinct flavor, it’s hard to describe or compare to any other. It’s like a mixture of mango, pumpkin, and caramel custard if it makes any sense to you. A must-try!!! P. S. — It’s cash only!!!

This restaurant sells chinese-peruvian food… that in Peru we call it «CHIFA». The food is pretty good and the personnel is very friendly. Sometimes even the«chef”/owner comes out and goes table by table saying hello and asking about the dishes. The owners are from China but they lived many years in Lima before moving to New Jersey. You can find the classic chifa dishes like Chijaukay(boneless fried chicken with a star anise brown sauce), Fon Kin Chon Lo(shrimp rolled in chicken), Kam Lu Wantan(fried wantan with meats, vegetables in sweet and sour sauce), Pescado a vapor con Tausi(Steam fish in Black Bean sauce). The are all well prepare. The place really doesn’t have any nice decoration, actually… you can say that they don’t care at all how it looks inside.(At least now they put a sign outside that makes the restaurant easier to identify). Personally I care more about the food, so the decoration doesn’t influence my opinion in this case.(I learned to have different expectations depending on the restaurants and the kind of food). I would say that this is a «secret gem» in Passaic, a «hole in the wall». I go there very often and I’ve never been dissapointed.
