LOVE this nursery! Very close to my home, great selection of flowers, herbs, shrubs — you name it. Staff is very helpful and they give discounts whenever they can. It’s in a peaceful location, too — just strolling around looking at the plants is relaxing, without that department-store rush you feel at the DIY store plant sections. Real gardeners shop here.

I was recommended this garden center by a friend who lives close by. .. and I could tell you it’s a good thing I don’t live closer because I would be there all the time. First, the staff — is great!(You know they must be great when I mention them before the plants.) They are super friendly, willing to talk to you and help you out with whatever you need. I accidentally bought the wrong peppers(pimento instead of hot cherry) and they let me bring them back and exchange them(of course I kept them watered and alive!) but most nurseries would not let you do that. Also, I came late in the season looking for a specific flower. After the man ran around searching for me, I found out they only had a few left which were leggy and needed some nursing back to life. .. so the staff gave me a 2-for-1 on them(which I appreciated and the flowers are currently alive and well). I’m mostly a veggie gardener and they have a great selection! Enough variety to fill all my hearts desires and more(which is hard to do)! They sell bigger sizes, but they also sell veggies in 6packs which I can never find and I love. They also have a ton of herbs to chose from including some I have never dreamed of growing myself. The price is also great for what you’re getting and hard to find anywhere else. They make me sad my garden isn’t bigger. As for flowers. .. they are not my main interest, but they sure have a ton. I couldn’t help getting a few. The number one stand-out what a morning glory called ‘Grandpa Ott.’ And this grandpa is the most beautiful morning glory I have ever seen. It actually makes people just stop and stare at it’s amazing colors. I love it! I know I’ll be back! And(especially if you live in the area) this is a garden center that definitely deserves your business and you won’t be disappointed with. If you’re not from the immediate area, you should really make it your first stop for your next garden — you will not leave empty handed(you may not want to leave at all)!

A good nursery in an unlikely location, its a big lot on a residential street and has about ten greenhouses. This place has a decent enough selection of outdoor plants, and offers specials depending on the season(Currently, hanging baskets are two-for-one). For pond owners, a great stop for your Papyrus and Water Lilys, flowering in different shades of pink and white(a large 1 gallon-size pot for about 20 bucks). Way in the back is a large growing-pond, kind of off-limits, but ask about it and they will show you and help you out– A friendly staff.. . I got some aggressive water hyacinths here for three dollars each. They have varied hybrids of hibiscus in different colors and sizes. The indoor shop has some cacti, garden notions and unusual gift ideas. I like the purple Krokus bulbs($ 4) blooming in a dish of water, but hey, like they say.. . «one vice at a time.»
