I had pan con chicharon and pan con lomo and I did not like either. It was just kind of bland and the orange spicy sauce just is not for me. I’ve had much better breakfast sandwiches at Peruvian places in Paterson.

Onceeee ina while i’ll stop by with my dad for some goodies(Peruvian pastries or bread or causa) This place opens at 5am! Soooo when i used to get DRUNK with my cousin we would decide IMMORTALES! So 10 mins after 5am we would go and i kid you not the place gets PACKED! No need to fear tho. Usually the only drunk people were me and my cuz and we’re harmless =) but neway. Sorry Jersey you won’t find any taylor ham egg & cheese or pancakes or scrambled eggs over here but this is what they usually have on the menu at 5am… Hen Soup with veggies(mmmm good for hangovers) Fried pork sandwich with fried sweet potato and onions, Tripe stew with rice and potatoes(that usually goes fast), Causa, Tamale and a few more dishes. I haven’t been there drunk at 5am in about a year ina half so maybe its changed a bit. Don’t forget the hot sauce! 4 bread rolls for $ 1. Can’t beat it! Forget white castle, micky d’s or ur local diner. Be adventurous and come here at 5am(i’ve said previously i haven’t been here in about a year in a half so do call ahead of time for opening hours)

If you were ever kidnapped into the heart of Peruvian country in Paterson then just hope you have your last meal here. They serve the best tasting Peruvian tamale ever. I’m not sure if they make it at the place or not. I’ve known places to purchase tamales from grandmas and boil and serve it at the restaurant. It’s the best tamale because the massa is infused with that chili thing(spice) with a lot of lard or fat that makes the tamale so tender and unlumpy. and it doesn’t have that off pudding olive I grew up hating. The chicarron sandwich is also very good because they bake their bread fresh there. The sandwich also has sliced yams and pickled onion which complements the fatty pork meat. They also give you lots of onions with the tamale. There’s also a build your on sandwich. They give you a disassembled platter of ingredients for more $$. I know you might not believe me because I’m Asian but I was assembled in Peru before I was smuggled to the United States by my parents and assimilated with everyone else. So, there’s some credibility to my Peruvian food knowledge. As you enter, walk past the small grocery part in the room and walk towards the back where all the tables are. You don’t have to punch the strongest and biggest guy there but sit down and order yourself a tamale and the chicarron sandwich. You will feel like the man when you much on this meal. The coffee is watered down with a lot of milk. You might want to ask for it on the side. For Paterson, The bathroom is impeccability clean. It kinda helps if you know Spanish. But. if you don’t just show them pictures on your Unilocal app. I need to find more gems like this. Hit me up! And I can Punch the nastiest guy there and be DUKE!

This is the best«dive bar style» spot for some good Peruvian breakfast. I have to admit when I first was bought here by my brother I was so skeptical but once I tried their Pan con Chicharrón, Lomito al jugo and tamales accompanied by some café con leche I was hooked! I bought my husband and cousins and everyone loves it! The Pan Frances is freshly made there and is really good! This is definitely an underground experience. It’s quality food in not the best looking place but that maKes it more fun. If you know Peruvian Desayuno, you will definitely enjoy it! After breakfast you can pick up some nice Peruvian products! If you ever take the trip you will understand! Not going to spoil the«fun». Go with an open mind and enjoy the food! Cash only & Parking is sometimes a pain!

I usually go to Los Inmortales for breakfast, they have great peruvian traditional dishes like cau cau, chainfainita, caldo de gallina, lomo al jugo, pan con jamon del pais, chicharrones, and many more. Prices are very affordable and a great place to meet peruvian friends. They only accept cash
