F D E S Hall

Attended a quince here and the hall was not that big was not very pleasant looking and the bathrooms were filthy and the parking area was rocky so walking in heels was a hazard here also air conditioning wasn’t working so the hall was very hot and uncomfortable.

Thus venue is absolutely beautiful. However, the owner John is not someone you’d like to work with. I met with John to see this venue and booked it on the spot.
Issue 1. I met with John to retrieve the key the day prior to my event. Not thinking there’d be an issue I wrote a check for the venue. Upon giving John the check he immediately yelled at me and said he wanted cash. I told him I apologize this is my first time throwing a party and he never told me he wanted cash but I’d be able to give him cash. I have never been a customer and been treated with such disrespect. I went to the bank and gave him the cash. He explained the rules we walked around the space everything was good.
The party goes on its a hit. All the guest help with the clean up. All the chairs and tables are put away. I had a caterer and she made sure the kitchen was clean.
Issue 2. I meet with John to give him the key back and the 1^st thing he says is the room is dirty. I ask him to walk me around and we look at the tables (they’re not stacked straight). He then takes me to the men’s bathroom where they used the bathroom in 1 urinal. I ask did you want me to clean out the urinal? He said that was ok. He then states one of the chairs fell off the rack so that was an issue. Lastly, we go to the kitchen and he states that the stove isn’t clean. There’s nothing on the stove so I ask «what’s wrong with the stove?» He states I should’ve used stove cleaner. He then goes on to accuse me of cutting up one of his garbage cans. I informed him we didn’t even have a knife for the cake so there’s no way I could slice up a trash can. That was the last straw. My friend and I come back to the venue to take pictures and John acts an absolute fool. Telling us he’s calling the police. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect and to top it off he wants to keep $ 100 of the deposit for cleaning.
John is money hungry and looks for anything to try to keep your deposit. NOT A Good Venue! !!!
