Susie’s is great. Susie made donuts at the local supermarket for years, and when they decided to make their donuts at some central location and truck them in, their donuts sort of lost it. Susie saw an opportunity, opened a shop on the square (bonus points for that — Paulding needs more great businesses on the square) and started making great fresh donuts. Their yeast donuts are some of the best I’ve had, and NOBODY makes glazed pershings like Susie’s. my wife and I have a tradition where everytime I get a haircut (see my review of Vogel’s barbershop — also on the square) I bring her home a jelly-​filled. Double bonus there: I get to support a great local business, and keep mama happy.
