This place is just so awesome to come in to just browse the stacks when it’s hot or cold out. In my case, it sure beats digging through shelf upon shelf of old books at the Goodwill across the street, pawing through stacks of trash romances for one or two decent finds. Here, it seems like everything is as it should be. Every time I’ve been, a very nice lady behind the counter has been very helpful and friendly. And yes, since the store is named«FatCat Books», there really is a feline wandering these stacks. I forget his name, but he’s big, fluffy, and just loveable. Friendly little guy, too– always enjoys a scratch behind the ears or two while you browse. As far as looks, this isn’t a dreary used book place. It’s bright and colorful, and makes you feel like relaxing. There is a children’s area here, too– loaded with children’s books for purchase as well. The porices here are more expensive than used books at the Goodwill across the street, but they’re still really reasonable. You can walk out of here with a bag of books for less then ten dollars, and you’ll not find a better selection most anywhere in this corner of the state. I’ve been trying to spread word of this place in Kalamazoo and elsewhere, hopefully we can get this place a little more recognition!

Super-cheap used, new, and like-new books are what you’ll find in this little bookstore. It is categorized into different sections so you won’t have to search too hard, but you’ll also never know what you’ll find. I’ve found a few treasures here and I’m proud to say that I got them at quite the deal too! The owner and workers don’t mind if you read the books a little before you decide if you want them or not. So no pressure, and I wish you happy book-hunting! Unilocal365-#005/365
