Excellent BBQ, the ribs were tender and flavorful, pulled pork sandwich and shrimp poe boy were outstanding… Collard greens are more than worth the order, as are the beans. Inexpensive beers and friendly staff make this a must go back to!

Good BBQ but lacks vinegar based sauces. the smoked gumbo was excellent– lukewarm though. Separated bar from eating area. Disappointed in sauce selection but overall good food and good service. Would come again.

I love all Moe’s BBQ locations and this one is just as consistent as every one I have been to. Great food and atmosphere. The smoked wings and the Turkey are personal favorites. We had the shrimp sandwich here and it was delicious.

Fast food style BBQ you order and pay before you eat, fountain drinks. Nice clean eating area and even outside seating.

The food was tasty, but service was awful. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, the staff was rude when we tried to order a drink. Then, it took nearly an hour to get out food. When it did arrive, the two of our sides were missing half their ingredients. No one ever apologized for the wait or the error. We previously liked this place, but we won’t be back.

Really a great place to eat. The Mississippi Mud pie is to die for! The staff is nice and friendly and we had our food in no time. They have specials on different days and the bodang balls are awesome! It’s chicken bog mixed with bbq deep fired and they dipping sauce is on point!

My Aunt and I ordered take-out from Moe’s in Pawley’s Island, SC over the weekend. Wow! We were pleasantly surprised! The pork bbq, baked beans, cole slaw and cornbread were OUTSTANDING! I have to say, we have some Bessinger’s in our family now but Moe’s could sure give them a run for their money when it comes to being tasty AND quite affordable!

I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service. I had never been and I also didn’t know this was a chain. I was very pleased with the service and the food. I got the pork platter with macaroni and cheese(delicious) and fried green tomatoes(holy moly… Best I’ve ever had). And I’ll be back on Tuesday for their brisket

I’ve long held that the reason you can’t make a nation-wide BBQ franchise is because it takes far more than a fast-food level staff to crank out really good ‘cue. Moe’s however is trying it, and my experience does not lead me to doubt my initial position. When I walked in I was greeted with a nice smoky aroma that did give me some optimism I ordered the pulled pork with sides of wings and a four ribs. Sadly, the lovely aroma of barbecue smoke that greeted my entrance was nowhere to be found in the food. On the plus side, the service was very friendly and the wings were very good. They don’t taste like they have been smoked, but as far as wings go, these are some of the best I’ve had. Furthermore, Moe’s collards are also quite good. However, the pulled pork was flavorless and a bit dry. I rarely like to add sauce since good BBQ should have a perfect flavor by itself, but in this case, I added several large squirts of sauce, and even it wasn’t all that good. The ribs were«baby backs» and the meat was very tender, but, again, no real BBQ or smoky flavor. They could have been done in a slow cooker and I doubt they would have tasted much different. The brunswick stew was underwhelming and featured one of the boniest pieces of fish I’ve ever encountered — I literally spent about five minutes pulling bones from out of my mouth and in between my teeth. The mac and cheese is thoroughly bland and despite the appearance of being well-mixed with gooey cheese, it tastes like plain macaroni. Overall, I’ve had barbecue that has been worse, which is about the best I can say about Moe’s — it’s not bad, but it’s also not particularly good.

Great food. Nice and clean. Food choices were clear and they all tasted great. I love good BBQ and this place did not disappoint. Had the pulled pork and plenty of sides. The meat was excellent as was the sauce. The Brunswick stew was the best I have had and the collards and sweet potato casserole were awesome. Fast service and the beer was cold. Only wish they had brisket or burnt ends. Can’t wait to go back!

From the outside Moe’s appears to be a new BBQ joint on a busy road. While the BBQ is ok and I emphasize OK the décor and building make the place above par. I had a pork sandwich with beans and banana pudding. The sandwich as stated was ok but nothing extraordinary or special. The beans were actually pretty good having some spice to them. The big dissapointment was the banana pudding. I thought I was going blind searching for bananas as there were absolutely zero in the cup. It was also obvious that the pudding was Jello pudding mix and really was bad unfortunately. In the end this BBQ joint is a beach town tourist spot. I was hoping for a hidden gem and what I got was typical marginal tourist targeted food. I should have known better when I didn’t see any smoke or smoker as well as the cashier’s northern accent. I’m not saying northerners can’t cook but BBQ and Yankees just do not normally mix well. Also, there was only one sauce but plenty of alcohol on hand. All in all, seen it, tried it and won’t be back as I can find the same BBQ at Sonny’s or Corky’s.

Food was ok. Not a very good kids menu selection. Super crowded. Trying to sit or walk anywhere during a rush is really hard. Really over priced and small portions. Food was good. Just wish there was more of it for what you pay.

Not the best but not the worst. We had ½ chicken meals, and the chicken could have cooked a bit longer. Not your fall off the bone type chicken. Maybe it was because they ran out and didn’t let this batch cook as long as they should have. The sides were small and not all that tasty.

I live in the south understand what BBQ is and am not from NY. I love Moe’s BBQ and am glad they are in my home town. The BBQ is excellent and their sides are exceptional. The management is top notch as well. As evidenced by their expansion and growth, the locals agree with me. If you don’t know BBQ then go ahead to a chain like Sticky Fingers or something. More room for locals at Moes.

I didn’t realize this was a chain restaurant until I read it on the beverage cup. There were four of us and we were all happy with our food. Everything is served in a paper lined basket and the sides are in a small plastic cup. Pulled pork was very good. It came with a very small portion of coleslaw and a couple of pickle slices. Mine was a ‘platter’ so no bread and it came with two sides. The sauce was excellent and I want some more right now. Mac & cheese was dry and really needed more flavor. Green beans were hot and flavorful. You can upgrade you’re order with four chicken wings for $ 3. Several combos available along with sandwiches. The Mississippi mud pie was very good and they also had a banana something that our table loved. I’m not a big desert guy. Order at the register, pay, find a table and they’ll bring the food to you. Beer and spirits(it’s a Southern thing, I just call it booze) available. Lots of TV’s and a small bar with maybe six chairs. Funny thing is they don’t have a brisket dish.

I have had BBQ all over the country and this was by far the worst EVER! My wife had the ribs that where extra fatty and looked like they were boiled and bland! I had the«turkey» which looked like thick slices from a deli. No flavor. Mac and cheese came in a cup and where glued together like the cheese was added and put in the microwave oven? For 28 dollars it was expensive and terrible. We will not be back !!! For some reason the review above is no longer listed so I am adding this comment to get it reposted.
