I wish Unilocal did half star increments. More like a 3.5, but great service and good value justifies more than 3 stars. Got the 3 egg breakfast. Coffee was decent, food average. Was $ 7 plus tip. Nice small little place. Would return.

Have been coming here for ten years at least and have never been disappointed! I normally always eat breakfast only here and recently tried the southwest burger and I was just as impressed. I may have to start trying other things from here as well now.

Food is amazing. Bottom line. Hard to find a seat sometimes, but well worth the wait.

This place is the bomb, Julie is absolutely the best waitress in the state of RI. She’s friendly and attentive and never loses it no matter how busy it gets. Julie runs this place like a well oiled machine. The food is a 10 out of 10… all the customers love her and she has them all laughing. If you don’t love her, you have issues yourself… PERIOD

The waitresses are sweet and they always keep the coffee coming! The food portions are big and the prices are great. The cook is a sight to be seen. One guy mans the grill and cooks for a room full of people. No idea how he moves so fast. It’s magical. The place is small and busy on weekends so sometimes you’ll have to wait a few but it’s worth it.

Been here a few times actually. Wife had a doctors apt. on Friday morning in Pawtucket so we stopped in for some breakfast after that. Another great meal! Friendly and fast service. Meat Lovers omelet for me, breakfast burrito with no onion for the Wife. Food came fast and HOT! Busy place but very efficient. Love the potatoes and I also like that the toast is TOASTED. Not some limp half toasted crap. A little out of the way for regular visits but always a welcome place to eat if we are in the area!

Pretty good food. A little on the pricy side and their coffee is a bit watered down. They’re biggest downfall? Size. Parking is terrible but you could easily find a street spot. Overall, I’m rating it 3⁄5. I enjoyed my experience and the food was decent but I had a better experience at other places.

Apparently if you order pancakes(to-go) they do not give you syrup or butter on it. They give you plain pancakes. Apparently when they ask when you first pick up if you want condiments, your suppose to ASK for the syrup. I had picked up an order of pancakes from them and when I got to work, I opened it to find three pancakes sitting there with NOSYRUP. I called to ask if that’s how they typically serve them and apparently, that is how they serve it. You have to say you need syrup when they ask you if you need any condiments. I found that very strange. The girl did have a reason and that was: «because some people take it home»… I just always figured it’s a set standard and that is, syrup with the pancakes. I didn’t realize you have to ask for syrup. I hope it was just a mistake and the girl was just trying to cover up for someone because that would make more sense then«because some people take it home» *MAINPOINT: IFYOUORDERPANCAKESTOGOBESURETOSAYYOUNEEDSYRUPWHENTHEYASKYOUIFYOUNEEDANYCONDIMENTS. (Always thought that was a given but apparently you have to specifically ask for syrup with pancakes…)

Small but nice breakfast place with great prices. This restaurant it’s to be a gas station when I was a little boy and my last fill up when I was 16 years old was .28 cents a gallon, now I am 58 and go there for breakfast. LoL you won’t be disappointed.

Best breakfast place around. Love coming here with my hubby for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Super friendly and attentive service with the usual ladies. Consistently good, fast, and reasonably priced breakfast! The only downside is that it’s very tight in there but you will not wait very long to be sat down– I have never waited longer than 15 minutes. The ’ Hungry Man’ features everything you gotta have for breakfast.

This place is a solid neighborhood diner. I’ve only been for breakfast, but it’s worth the trip. Staff is universally friendly, hardworking, quick with the coffee and knowledgeable about a pretty good sized menu. It’s also nearly always busy with a steady flow of truck and bus drivers, Sunday churchgoers, families, workers from the nearby businesses and neighborhood grandpas. Somehow, they keep the customer traffic moving and the food/coffee coming because every single staff member is working like a well oiled machine to get your breakfast in front of you. There’s rarely a wait as a result. It’s not hip like Julian’s or trendy like Mike’s, but it’s well executed tasty diner fare served in a clean down home environment. An excellent choice!

Wonderful place. We eat here all the time. Sunday morning breakfast wouldn’t happen at our house without Amanda’s. The corned beef hash is fantastic and every variation of Eggs Benedict that they offer. If you want the best food experience here go in and eat. Take out does not do it justice since the crispy bacon, hash, homefries, etc. will get a tad steamed inside the takeout containers. The staff is always attentive and helpful.

Delicious food and great prices! Staff is also very friendly and it’s actually really clean for a diner! I am big on breakfast and this one of my favorite places to grab some breakfast! Haven’t tried the Fish & chips yet, but it looks really good!

What a gem! It’s so refreshing to find a warm and inviting breakfast spot where attention to cleanliness and service is obvious. Yay! I’ve only experienced breakfast, but I can’t imagine standards wouldn’t hold steady all the live-long day. The café is well-kept. The food tastes very good, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The somewhat-open kitchen makes it easy to see how clean the staff is. Everyone working stays busy, and there is minimal socializing going on behind the scenes, which I thought was nice. I also noticed customers calling in orders for takeout — how convenient! We’ve visited here a few times now with little to no disappointments. Truly. I might like some better tasting coffee(perhaps something locally roasted?), but that’s really all I can offer in the way of constructive criticisms. Oh, it’s a little bit of a cramped space, and tricky parking — be aware! I just love a good diner.

We found Amanda’s kitchen while we were in town for a Pop Warner football game. We were NOT disappointed. Although it is small, the food was great. I ordered the pancakes. They were light, fluffy and delicious. My companion ordered the 2-fer(2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, toast and home fries). Everything was yummy. The bill was less than $ 20 and that included juice and coffee. The portions were perfect. Not to much food that you couldn’t finish, but just enough that you were completely satisfied when you left. The staff was great. Very pleasant and accomodating. The cleanliness of Amanda’s was exceptional. As soon as a table was empty, it was cleared and cleaned within seconds. If I am in the area again, I will definitely go to Amanda’s Kitchen.

Staff is nice and if you do not catch the window of opportunity, you will be waiting in a line. The place is small and they pack them in. As for the food, it is mainly your standard breakfast fare at a pretty good price. Because of the number of customers and the lack of wait staff, you may wait a while for your food, but it is a comfortable wait. The portions are pretty good size and the quality is good. I had corned beef hash which is from a can, so that is a knock against them. In Rhode Island, it really needs to be home made. The home fries were a little on the flavorless side, all though the portions were good. The other items, pancakes and French toast that were consumed at the table were of good portions. So from an overall experience, given that RI diners are what I do, this is a good 3 star establishment. I can see a higher rating if you live really close and have a relationship. But if you are someone like me who travels all over looking for the ‘one’, this one is just a stopover.

Anyone call for breakfast? Amanda’s might look small(because it is) but that doesn’t mean it skimps on the taste or menu. Amanda’s is guaranteed to fit your needs for breakfast food or even brunch if you roll out of bed around noon(hey some of us have those nights). Amanda’s Kitchen set up is cool cause it lets you look in on the master work that is their chef. He works so fast(and you have to when the restaurant is constantly full). Speaking of that, heads up that it is a smaller restaurant and expect to be waiting 10 – 15 mins depending on the hour. Parking is ok but you might have to find street parking since the restaurant is right in the fork in the road.
